I love this! I’ve been looking for a way to do a temperature blanket that wasn’t just straight rows. This will be perfect, one little circle per day! Thank you for all your videos and patterns!
What a GREAT idea 💛💛💛
I absolutely love this!!! What a fantastic way to use up scrap yarn. ❤ You are a true blessing from God.
One of my favorite things is finding ways to use up scarp yarn. Glad you think like me 💛
This is so cool! I’ve made the material version of this for years, I can’t wait to try this with my yarn scraps 🙂🙂
How do you make it with yarn scraps? 😊
Watch the video ! Scrape yarn is exactly what used .
Love this idea. Would you consider making a video short on how to attach the circles together? I'm having problems. Keeping getting a gap, a hole, when attaching.
Thank you for making this I already made a few and I’m going to make into ornaments
I though about that Renee - especially the hexagon. Also would make great earrings.
You could lookup yo-yo fabric patterns for color and setting ideas. They’re also cute stacked into trees, dolls, etc ❤
@@CDForney thank you I have that is what I’m going to do
How clever these are! I think if cotton yarn was used these could make cute trivets for the kitchen. I will have to search my stash for cotton yarn 👀. I think 25 of these...5 X 5 would be about right...two sets 5 X 5 sewn together would make a nice trivet. With Fall/Winter coming on and doing a lot more baking the trivet would come in quite handy. Thanks for the tutorial. 🤗
Great idea!
This is AWESOME ❤❤❤...THANK YOU 😊
💛Thank YOU for the thank you !!!
How cute are those!!! The possibilities are endless 😊. Hugs my beautiful friend ❤️❤️
Thanks so much - Your name suits you soOOOoooo well sweet sweet Linda 💛💛💛 😊
Thanks Denise this is awesome hopefully I can make it for the sofa. After doing baby stuff for my new grandson
Not hopefully - You CAN do it! 🙂
Thank you Denise
I love how you go over everything very easily, a lot of other videos I'll be tryna follow their steps after, I always mess up because they either speed it up until they're done or because they don't even talk and telling is important cause just putting the words might make us mess up cause if we have to skip a peg or something but they say "rap thr yarn around the pegs,"
I love this - i did yoyo quilts for awhile . Now i can do knitted yoyos - im in heaven!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 16:06 16
OMG I love these so much!! I’ve been a quilter for over 30 years 😊❤
Wow- that is GREAT - that you as a quilter love my little circles. Thank YOU soo OOOO much for the feedback - I really appreciate it.
@@LoomaHat You’re very welcome! I love your videos and patterns ❤️
I absolutely LOVE this!!!! I love both versions equally as well. These yo yos would be so cute to make a unique scarf. I've decided I'm going to try that as well as a blanket. Thank you so much, Denise, for this. Definitely brought back some very fond memories from my childhood with my grandma & great-grandma. I miss them so much. This project is perfect for me to honor them. Thank you for that gift Denise. Happy Holidays to you & your family from TX. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
As far as ideas 💡....could you do a full tutorial on a 20's - 40's type Era hats? Ugh I've forgotten what they're called. I've seen knitting & crochet projects on them but I'm a loomer & you always provide the tutorials that are so easy to understand & follow. Thanks again, Denise. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
EDIT: the hat is called a Vintage Cloche Hat.
Love this. Love your videos. You are fabulous teacher
You know you just started the next big trend for loom knitters❣️
LOVE IT 🥰
Thank you. I love this! I have made yo yo's out of material. Love I can do this.
You are soOOoooo welcome! 💛
Ooohh! I've been making the fabric ones. Never thought to make them on the loom.😮
That's how we're going to take over the world - by using a loom for EVERYTHING Hahahahah 😊💛😆
Yes! The possibilities are running through my head. Now I need to go get my loom out!
Oh, these are just adorable, and they’re really FUN to make! It’s a wet, sleety, gray day here, but I have a basket full of brightly colored yarn scraps and I’m making little yo-yos! Thank you for this! 🧶❤️🪀
So it looks like fun I have the loom
It is so much fun. Anytime I can use all the colors in my box - I'm HAPPY !
Maravilloso 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
I made a couple of these and practiced sewing them together and I plan on making a blanket out of them in a way that forms a picture. My guide is a pixel art picture of Sailor Moon
Wow - that sounds AMAZING ! Please please please share a picture when you're done. denise@loomahat.com
Fun and easy for teaching the kids the basic principles of knitting/weaving and how knitted products stay together without the complicated nature that knitting needles add in. All my niece's and nephew aged 9, 10, 12 and 13 love to learn new crafts but as I'm limited on time with them and their parents are unable to help them at home we struggle with fun projects so so sometimes. This is ideal. And easy for me to also instruct via video Call if needed. Can't wait to see what they might create x
How FUN! My mind is humming with ideas. This season I am definitely in a gingerbread state of mind. Planning Hexagons for a graphed gingerbread face holiday throw. Soft and squishy yarn here I come! Thank you for igniting our creativity❣
WONDERFUL!
Thank YOU 💛
I think I'm going to use this to make garland for my tree this year! Thank you!
❤Than you for this awesome pattern!❤
Thank YOU for the thank you !!!
Those are so cute! I can see using the hexagon one and stitching them together to make a baby blanket or a throw for the couch. That would take a long time though.
These little circles are so cute!
That is so cool, I can’t wait to make these. I have never seen this before. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You ❤
I absolutely love this!! I've always wanted to make a yo-yo quilt. This way is better for me. Love it and your videos ❤️
This is brilliant. I am going to make something with these during the cold months. Thank you
Denise! I love it! It looks really cool and easy. Maybe a bit time consuming for a blanket but worth trying. Thanks for sharing!
I love this idea...perfect for when I want to do a small loom project
I love love love small projects.
please make more loom knit stuffed animals like the octopus, dinosaurs or from movies like Stitch (or other experiments), minions, Nightmare Before Christmas, pokemon/pokemon balls, etc
Hi - thank you for the request - I really appreciate it. The issue with knitting characters is that there are trademark laws that prohibit their use for personal profit.
Happy Saturday ☺️ Denise 😁 those are very beautiful yo yos. Thanks for sharing 🥰 have a peaceful and blessed day and weekend 🙏🏾💕
Thank you! You too sweet Violet ! 💛💛💛
really like these! Looking forward to making some!
What a wonderful idea! Thank you so much for this video! If I wanted to make bigger hexagons would I just use a bigger loom?
So cute, thanks Denise. I will be trying these. ❤
Can you make a bowl cozy? I see them crocheted but none have been loom knit. Thank you. I love your channel!
I can't wait to try this
So cute!
Very beautiful gorgeous yo-yos I 💕 it 😊
Thanks so much 😊
Thank you Denise! These look really neat and its a great idea to use up some yarn scraps! ❤ Depending how you put these together and what colors you use I bet you could really make some neat and interesting designs as well! ❤🥰
There are amazing patterns on the internet with these litle circles. Glad you like them my friend ! 💛
Oh wow! Thanks soooo much for posting this video. As a kid I saw these too, my cousins grandma would make them. It really brings back alot of memories. How would you join these all together once they are made?
In the video I do show you how I join them but I would say it really depends on your choice of project.
@@LoomaHat thank you.
Very easy to follow.
Can’t wait to try !
Awesome Denise
Think these would make a great road trip project.
YES !!! 💛
I love this qu: can i make a quil with the yo-yo circles? 😊
Love this! Would there be a way to do squares this way?
📌📌📌Leg warmers, please.
I made others' patterns, but they slide down the legs. I've been knitting your cowls, hats, socks, scrubbies, towels, fingerless gloves, etc. since about 2017😁!
Denise, make a video to make the quilt!!!!!
Hermoso!!
Mil gracias Maria ! 💛
So pretty! Thanks for sharing two great ideas!
Have you made a “doily” on the loom? 😉❤️
Yes I have www.loomahat.com/pot-protector-doily/
It seems to me these yo-yos could be modified into earmuffs by not using a pencil or chop stick to create a hole. Instead you end up with no hole. Then for the back, where you slip the yo-yo over your ear, you would just tighten the castoff around the back of your ear. Am I correct?
Ok thank you. So how many rows maximum would Dion a 24 peg loom? I have many sizes of looms.
The question I have could this also be used to make scrubbies
She has videos on how to make scrubbies:)
You can but it's best if you use at least an extra 10 rows because these are really small.
Havent seen these since i was little
How many of these do you think it would take to make a blanket
Each one is 2.5 inches - you would need to do the math.
Can this be done w cotton yarn?
Yes ! I used cotton for this project : loomahat.store/products/cup-cozy-and-coaster
Thank you I love it🫶👏👏
I'm glad you love it - thank YOU for the thank you !!!! 💛
The hexagon ones don't seem complete. Following 2 through 10 . Is that for roll 2 ? Cause mine don't turn out right.
Make turtle 🐢 please 🙏😊
Have you made something with these love to see ideas
THi - he first few seconds of the video have loads of project ideas.
💜💜💜
Thank YOU !!! 💛
How big can you make a yo yo?
It depends on the size of your largest loom
Ops sorry quilt 😮
I figured 🙂
