If you really study your bible and do your research about the church that you are at to see what they believe lines up with the bible and know how to point out the fake from the real deal you won't be deceived

No matter how much I wanted a girlfriend to manifest, she never did. So I repented of my sins, that one also, was born again by believing the gospel of Jesus Christ, denied myself, took up my cross, and follow Jesus Christ. He does the work. Praise God for my suffering in Christ Jesus. He doesn't give me what I want but what I need. Even though I might never get what I want. All that counts is making disciples of Christ.

The key to this is forgetting the Torah (teachings) most believers today do not know anything about Adonai's teachings and therefor they are easily led astray. If they would just read the Tanakh, they would Know...
I grew up in a Pentecostal church and the pressure was so big to start speaking in tongues - even in children's camp they would admonish us. My grandma (God bless her) would even baptise me and my sister in the lake, because she thought we would receive the Holy Spirit and start talking. When this didn't work - she suggested we start producing words (read: faking till we make it). My sister later on in live received the spirit, who helped her utter unknown tongues (speak gibberish). She got delivered from him and many others, but that's a story in and of itself. I never got to speak in tongues and was faking it.
This doctrine of theirs is so dangerous, even leading to possession - if God doesn't give you the gift, because he never said he will give it to all and certainly not the one they are promoting - then Satan is happy to assist; and to doubting God - "God, why not me? What's wrong with me?"; and false security - thinking that you have the Holy Spirit, when you don't, and may indeed receive - a spirit.
This is so true, the Scriptures doesn't say in order to be saved and born again you have to speak in tongues. That's a lie, tongues was spoken in the book of Acts to edify the people around them giving all glory and praise to JESUS CHRIST, never to boast, we are saved by Grace not of works lest any man should boast Ephesians 2:8,9. JESUS got baptized, yet HE didn't speak in another language. Tongues is not a sign of salvation, true believers don't seek signs and wonders, we walk by faith and not by sight AMEN.
@@nothingbutdust5278 That's such a good point with Jesus! I never thought of using him as an example that not everyone baptised were to speak in tongues. Every gift is for edifying the church as you say and not for your own pleasure. New Testament speaks over and over again that if nobody understands you - keep quiet. Or let somebody interpret and that in order and maximum 3 speaking in tongues in order with an interpreter and not the whole church in extatic dance as they often do it in Pentecostal churches. They got it completely out of the context.

It’s impossible to not give in for me and learn to just speak the light language.
My mom would always tell me that I should do a vision board or right down what I want in life and then I’ll have it. I never got around to it because I just don’t have big goals and anything I did want (marriage, job) I just pray for it and ask God, so I didn’t get the concept. She also listened to the preachers who would say “thank God for something after you pray”. I always felt weird doing that and I would thank Him but say after “if it doesn’t happen then thank you for another option and let your will be done”. Then later on my own I realized it’s VERY weird to thank God in advance for something that you’re supposed to be ASKING for. Like if you go up to your parents and say “can you get me a cookie, thanks” I think most parents would find that disrespectful because they’re being commanded and also not given a chance to refuse or offer a healthier option by the child who is not in a place to order the parent around and not consider the parent’s authority. Even in movies the mean girls will bully people by saying “oh you can’t sit here. can you be less disgusting, thanks.” So it’s even worse to do it to God. We should ask for things and ask if it’s His Will. And I realized this and I changed my prayers to include me asking for God’s will in every area of my life because I felt like the popular claim it prayer method was wrong. I’m worried though because there are a lot of Christians practicing the law of attraction and they think it’s Christianity. Its great y’all are talking about this, more and more Christians need to understand this principle is not good for their spiritual condition.

Wow...I know something wasn't right about that. I was told to include thanks because it was a showing of faith but man it's wrong. Prayer and Thanksgiving should be giving thanks for the things God's already doing/done. God's will be done, amen.

The word does say “when you pray believe that you have received it. Mark 11:24. That’s why I think they thank Hod in advance. It happens in the supernatural before it happens in the natural. I prayed for something and thanked God for it and I received it. Some things are already God’s will. He withholds no good thing. He doesn’t desire us to go without food or shelter. So it is already his will. We don’t have to wonder or ask. Some other things like who we should marry are questions that we should ask of him.

We are to claim Gods promises, not our own selfish desires. We can hold God to His promises, asking according to His Will! Not our own. We can manifest nothing. Only God can create. His Word manifests, not ours.
This is crazy, didn't God say his desires are to prosper us? To give us hope and a future? You think God want's us to be poor? God has given each and every one of us a purpose/vision. He said write the vision upon tables and make it plain so that whoever sees it may run. The poor christain life y'all believe in is not the vision y'all have nor God's vision for us. But hey, what do i know? Its Not like he has words of hope and inspiration about prospering his ppl in the bible or anything...

This is seriously a discussion i needed to hear. The deception is falsely intertwined with the verses of the scripture. This is nothing but wolf of new age philosophy in sheep's clothing ! I pray, may we be able to recognize such selfish ways to satisfy our inner greed! God grant us your wisdom. It's not our will but yours.
I smoke (cigarettes) the way I'm going to quit is through prayer and the fact that, thats absolutely not what I want to be doing when the Lord comes back. Hope this helps someone else as well. ❤

Just quit. Don't wait. Pray to Jesus for the strength, and resolve yourself to your commitment to Jesus. Just look up videos of what happens to the inside of your lungs if you need visual reminders of exactly what you're doing to your body (God's temple!). God doesn't want His temple to be blackened with tar. Why would He want to dwell in a tobacco smoke-riddled temple. My grandfather quit after 72 years (cold turkey. He started at 12 and smoked until he was 84. Now he's 94 and still walking around. He never went back.). If Jesus can help Him quit after 72 years, then Jesus can most certainly help you overcome your spirit of addiction as well. It helped me to picture Jesus crying over how I was killing myself. He wants you to live and to live a healthy life so that you can serve Him. Jesus doesn't want us to destroy our physical bodies. Your healing can be a testimony to others who struggle with addiction. Let Jesus help you use your past pain to bring others to Him. Trust in Jesus and take a leap of faith. Stop buying cigarettes. Stay away from smoker's until the withdrawal and temptations cease. Jesus can conquer all things, if you surrender to Him and then walk forwards in faith. I will pray for you! Just quit. Don't wait because it won't get "easier". It's a temporary hardship but you're doing it for Jesus so it's worth it! Make that sacrifice to Jesus today! I will pray for you, but I have no doubt that Jesus will help you if you're willing to walk with and for Him!

I was a big believer in the secret. I watched my life change as I read the book. I saw that each chapter that I read, had an area that it was targeting, and for me, it worked for each area. Especially when I got to the money chapter! I later realized that all of the things that happened for me, came in negative ways. I was skeptical about this “SECRET” when I first got the book, but I continued on. I saw scriptures in the book. They used those to validate their message, and desensitize people. I wouldn’t advise anyone to put their faith, hope and belief into this new age crap. This is idolatry!

People in New Age stuff are very much stubborn and spiritually prideful (and think negative of Christian people, think they only "parroting" Bible and don´t have real experiences, yet many became Christians after they were deep in New Age and understood what New Age stuff is really about), it´s very hard to convince them they have been sophistically deceived by Satan and his party, because they see and experiencing some real results. They don´t see what they are dealing with in long-run, because they are not there yet, they didn´t have enough and long-term experience yet, so they can´t truly review it.
I heard a pastor on the radio. I wanted to attend their church, until I heard they had a husband and wife co-pastor situation. I was desperate and visited. I needed prayer and it was immediately effective. I started going to their weekly Bible studies. Come to find out that compromise doesn't stop in one area. I visited one of their church services and was almost hit in a "spin-out" on the way. Once there, the pastor mentioned making a church "vision board" and doing a weekly lesson on the prosperity gospel. He moved from a regular Bible study to focus on Copeland's book. I left and didn't go back. My acquaintance stayed. She accused me of being negative 🤷.

I call these false preachers motivational speakers and they never pick up the Bible. Only those who study will show themselves approved.

Thank you so much! Wow, this is so powerful because just this week in my Bible studies, I have been pondering on these issues and have literally read/concluded in most of the verses you present. If not the actual verses, then verses that say very much the same thing! If that's not the Holy Spirit working to lead me in His ways, then I don't know what it could be! Wow! I'm not surprised but more grateful and very humbled. I keep praying for Jesus to lead me and for Him to break me a million times, if it be necessary, so that He will form me to be the vessel He wants me to be. I believe that He is literally revealing this to me through Scriptures. It's as if everything is echoing this Message, to the point that it's impossible to ignore or discount. And I have never felt so at peace. I have found a Love I have never known. Jesus is mercy and He has been so merciful to me. I'm a newly saved believer and I'm just overwhelmed with how much Jesus is allowing me to know and understand. I'm a person who studied my whole life, but I've been led to know and understand more in these last few months than in the last 3 decades of my life. Truly, there is no one and nothing greater than God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Every step I take is for Jesus. Every moment I breathe is for Jesus. He cautions me and has changed all of my desires. He destroyed the chains of fear and anger that used to hold me as a slave to my sins. He washed me white as snow and transformed my heart and I'm not joking when I say that I'm literally not the same person that I was before I jumped into the arms of Jesus. I wholly surrendered and He saved me and He continues to renew me and crucify my sins each and every day I walk with Him. Blessed be the name of Jesus!
It does work, that’s the danger, the problem is people think God is blessing them, but he is not. Something is granting their short term wishes.

Jus finished watching and thank you for edification on the actual truth that the word speaks , I'm a disciple of World Changes ( Pastor Creflo Dollar )who was raised in that church . I haven't been there consistently in some years , but I've always heard the conspiracies of the church concerning prosperity . I thought maybe it's because that these ppl were ppl who didn't hear his full teaching concerning the topic. There has been alot of controversy over some things he has saidd and the church had done. My parents always taught me that you shouldn't put your mouth on the most high annoited nor talk about your pastoral father, So it's always been a very hard in between for me. God has shown up for me over and over to the point where it cannot be coincidental. Through my chronic illness and scared I would not be able the pay my Bill's or keep my apartment. I only wish to get better so I can buy a hotel in my city to repurpose for our homeless population that also provides dinner every evening.

I always thought that the gift of tongues was one’s God-given ability to be able to be able to learn languages rather quickly as well as being able to speak a language while preaching God’s message, as you guys mentioned that would happen in the latter days.
It feels like one was overtaken and tingling and waves up and down your body. And people LOSE CONTROL

I believe in many of these cases Satan takes advantage of our selfish desires and answer our request so that we might be entangled in the deceitfulness of riches and in the lust other things, so that we might lose our connection with God.
GC states, “Satan has control of all whom God does not especially guard. He will favor and prosper some in order to further his own designs, and he will bring trouble upon others and lead men to believe that it is God who is afflicting them. - {GC 589.2}

I grew up in a church that believed in the Gifts from The Father. I witnessed a few services where the Holy spirit moved. A silence fell on the entire congregation. The babies and small children were all quiet, no crying, fussing, no toddlers playing. As a child I felt a desire to sit still and be very quiet. Then one person would speak in tongues as the spirit guided them, then another person received the interpretation from the Holy Spirit. These were very special occasions, not a common occurrence. And even myself as an adolescence, felt something different from other church services I attended. There were services where we felt the pastor was truly inspired by the Holy Spirit to give this message to the flock. And then, we had services where he never got to preach. The congregation was led to sing, lift our hands and voices in praise to The Father.
Hello. It is so very sad that most have not had these experiences. They are rare, so rare that they are held in derision.

I fell into every trap you guys mention. I was desperate to change my life. Witchcraft didn't do much for me. So it started with doing yoga, new age and the secret. Then I joined Amway. Thank God for opening my eyes. Amway worships money and the business. When God opened my eyes of how they really were I quit. It was so painful because I had made it my idol and giving up the idea of giving up my dreams and the riches of this world. Even though they call themselves Christians they told me not to get involve in church. They even try to talk me out to not quit. One of them said that God takes away the gifts He gives, which was a lie.
From my own perspective and what I know of God, I cannot see the Holy Spirit causing disturbances and chaos in a service. Secondly, I have to ask what the body of Christ or even a non-believer gets from these kinds of services. It is not teaching anything, prophesying anything, or bringing anyone closer to God.
I know God well enough to know that everything he does is done with purpose and meaning. He does not just do something because he can. There is always a plan behind the action.
There can be chaos by the true spirit of God sometimes, because sometimes the spirit will manifest literally by - (THE POWER THAT IS AT WORK ON YOUR INSIDE) - this is why Paul told Timothy to steer up what is on his inside, that has been given him by the laying on of hands (IMPARTATION or PRAYER).
The bible talks about the rivers of living waters flowing out of us. It flows from inside us, into another person or territory.
This is why when Jesus comes in contact with a person who has a contrary spirit, the spirit would manifest because the Holy Spirit is contending with that spirit. Then the contrary spirit would scream out of the person it is possessing, and leave.
What we need as Christians is DISCERNMENT. Matthew 25 made us understand that the antichrist would do similar and great miracles, so much so that if it were possible, the very elect would be derailed also. This means, if it were possible the real believers in Christ would have been deceived, but it is literally impossible.
DISCERNMENT IS WHAT WE NEED IN THIS WORLD. At the end, we shall all be judged, This is why when Jesus gave the parable of the seeds sown and the weed, he said, leave them until the day of harvest, where the seeds that grow will be harvested unto life, and the tares (weeds) will be harvested unto destruction.
Not withstanding, we all have to listen, and to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. But remember, the Holy Spirit is inside us.

It is not faith that claims the favour of heaven without complying with the conditions on which mercy is to be granted. Genuine faith has its foundation in the promises and provisions of the scriptures.

I completely agree with you guys. The miracle of speaking in tongues was the disciples speaking a different earthly language that they had not learned and spoke before to preach to those of that language. Not many people will touch on this subject so thank you for your bravery.

There is such a great lack of discernment in the Church. The Secret is only one in a long line of deceptive books that can be found at so called ‘Christian’ bookstores, like ‘Left Behind’, The Shack’, ‘Jesus Calling’, etc. Please everyone, read your Bibles in context! Test EVERYTHING against the written Word and pray that we won’t fall into deceptions that may appear good but lead only to sorrow.

We have a father that loves us and if we ask our parents and family for their advice and opinions, we should be asking God even more for his guidance. He knows us better than anyone and he knows our needs better than we do. Everything he prepares is perfect.

In Psalm 82, the lower “g” gods are referring to the angels in heaven. The first verse in the psalm establishes the context. That verse wasn’t ever meant to say that humans are gods. “gods” with a lower g is a generic term to describe a being that is not a part of our physical world, so it’s an appropriate term for the angels.
We need to see God as revealed in the BIBLE!!!! Not in culture, or in Christian culture!!! That God is an idol and an imagination!!!!

The love of money is the root of all evil. I literally have no desire to be rich. Stronger ties to this world are just... unappealing.

Loved the presentation. Man's word is not like God's word. God's word alone has creative power in it. God's creative word says "let there be..." , and it was instantly created.
I used to be a rep for an awesome financial services company that helped people be debt free, properly insured and become financially independent. It was sad to see how many of our leaders many who called themselves Christian, promoted this teaching. I know they meant well but if you spoke out against it you’d be called a negative person. It was all about positivity for them.

I was 5 years of chronic illness! I was Semi Housebound, lost my health, job, finances and my fiance left me. I couldn't even look at electronic screen for 5 minutes, or hold a 10-minute conversation.
But God did an amazing work.
