A bottle Meg's of Ultimate Compound is great for every motorist to have around because it can be used to remove scratches, swirls and oxidation from paint. Additionally, it can be used on exterior glass to remove traffic film, and on non-tinted and factory tinted interior glass (do not use on tint film) to remove haze caused by the gassing out of the interior plastics. Excellent review as always my friend. Cheers Sandro, and enjoy your weekend.
@@HantsLeo My pleasure Phillip. Make sure you use a hand held light when buffing off the UC residue. Then, clean the polished area of glass with a glass cleaner, IPA solution or panel wipe product (just to be safe).
Thanks for this. A year ago I tried using the Turtle Wax product to remove scratches on the trunk lid of my black car. The results were shockingly bad. I’ll have another go with Meguires. BTW I love your videos!
Sandro, I have watched almost every single one of your video's from start to finish. A lot of my knowledge of paint correction, and products I use has come from you. Your work is beautiful, and I can only aspire to have your level of knowledge some day. I seriously enjoy the long paint correction video's where you compare various pads, and compounds to see what works best on the specific paint you are working with. I like to play along and guess what compound/pad you will use if the previous pair didn't work. You are always very informative man, thank you very much.
Bravo! the best on this! since I am too old.... my wife got an orgasm when I fixed her car along all your suggestions and video! now I can die happy!😂😂😂😊
As a car detailer i have noticed that German car paint/clear (bmw,VW,Skoda,Audi)are softer than Japanese. I have noticed Mazda, Subaru, are worse though. Toyota/Lexus have thick easy to work with paint with a medium hardness, defect removal is really good on them. That’s just my personal experience. Great well detailed videos as usual Sandro.
@@DanBrando I have to update that info atm, I have noticed the Japanese paint has gotten softer. I’m actaully a much bigger fan of working on German cars atm due to the higher quality clear coat. Although the paint isn’t finished as well it’s a much nicer paint to work with
I have a tube of Scratch X from 10 years ago. I found it to be great for small areas. Surprised at how bad the TW is, looks like a deep compound. No surprise with Chemical Guys, all hype that company and way overpriced. T cut looks good for sure.
Another great video, I have learned a lot from you over the years, thanks! From my perspective, I took away from this video that spending just that little bit more on a good quality product will be a beneficial,0 in both the user experience and final results.
Awesome video, used to carry some scratch x in my welding bag for my cover lenses they get filthy very quick better then throwing them in the bin, these days I just rotate and when the all are bad I use a 3inch rotary with some heavy compound normally ultra cut
Great video Sandro! When you have tried machine polish (specially with correct products/pads) you will never try hand polish anymore - exactly the same if you have tried high quality ceramic coating )))))) Cheers from windy Sweden.
I had a bad scratch in my new car door (black car it is). It seemed to be intentional key damage. Went to buy the turtle wax scratch remover and applied it by hand following instructions. I made several rounds and was quite satisfied as the scratch disappeared 90%. Only a small 1\2 inch was still there, altough That was because the damage was deeper. The product was really good erasing the scratch but in the light, i could see the difference in finish, all hazy and ugly. Had to buy a polishing cream, apply and clean for it to look nice again. Therefore, I dont think the bottle you used had a quality issue, thats just how it works, and the finish is really REALLY bad. Now I have another scratch (also keyed it seems) and bought the maguiars x remover along with a polishing tool (the one with the circling pad). All videos ive seen the product leaves a great finish BUT it seems its not that good at removing scratches, so here I am, contemplating what to do next. I think im about to use maguiars on a small section and if it doesnt work, move to the turtle "paint torture" and end it with a polish. Loved your vid 🎉 Excuse me if my english is a bit botched. I also bought a cctv camera set but it seems my main need is to change to a new neighborhood.
I get the same thing all he time. Random scratches all over my car lately. People are so disrespectful to other peoples cars. Im glad you got a CCTV camera, cause thats bullshit. People scratching your car. Absolutely disrespectful people nowadays have no respect for anyones property that they work hard for. And I understood your english perfectly friend!
Nice way to test this products @Sandro! Question, in your opinion which is the best all around compound and polish for you? To remove imperfections and finishing (gloss)? Thanks a lot!
I think I probably use Scholl S20 more than any other compound, it’s also a medium or one step compound like Ultimate, cuts a little less but finishes a little better in general.
Silly marketing gimmicks like bright colored chemicals, flashy design & social media presence. I think they genuinely outperform 95% of car care product companies when it comes to marketing because all their products are shit and $1.50 an ounce and at every Walmart everywhere.

Which scratch remover do you recommend??
@@dangarrido I will usually use a cut. Atm 3m fast cut plus extreme. But you will need to get a one step or polish after using it
Thats completely backwards German paints is harder than Japanese lol

have you not been able to get more tech choice products to test? was impressed with your ceramic detailer vod
meguiars is very known for its compounding products and polishes. Cant never take them out thats for sure
It makes sense when you consider they are owned by 3M who supplies the body shop industry with lots of sanding equipment, and cutting compounds.
Excelente, subscribed. Do you have a video to know the diferences between all meguiars compounds? scratch X, ultimate compound, mirror glaze?
Thanks, but no I don’t have a video comparing all the Meguiars compounds though I have been meaning to make one.
Hi, great video. Is the Meguiar's Scratch X the same as the Scratch X 2.0? That's the only one I can find.
2.0 is just the updated version, so would be similar
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing okay, thanks
