I just love when people ask if the exhaust is stock when I set it on sport + with all those pops and bangs, and I answer: "yes, totally original exhaust, comes like that from the factory"!! And they answer: wow, that's awesome! Much more satisfying than saying: no I changed it, with them answering: yeah I thought so! If AMG do such an amazing sounding exhaust, why the hell would you want to change it with one that's not original?!!!

Yeah I drove the Mercedes AMG GT at circuit at Circuit Zandvoort as you can see on my TH-cam channel Donoz82 . Sounds indeed like thunder and is really quick!
sorry but the sound is weak. This car costs 200k!! this sounds like a 50k car, not 200. I drove it in person with exhaust valves open in sport plus mode. That low but tame rumble is all you get. No high revs, no drama, no loudness, no raspiness. Only thing you get are some stupid burbles. My 50k Stinger with a Bastuck exhaust sounds way better below 3k revs. Like a different world. And it's 4 times as cheap. EDIT: I was talking about the 2018 version. The 2021 sounds even worse because of OPF's. The time of good sounding stock cars has gone. Luckily we can still get pre 2020 naturally aspirated engine cars with actual GOOD sound. No turbo, no OPF, no regulations, no revs that end at 6.5k, no bullshit
That lid closing as fast as that must be broken. I drive a CLS and mine closes beautifully, if that’s not broken it’s terrible. What a noise I’d love that car
These make for a very tempting buy when used... They seem to depreciate like a bookshelf falling down a staircase. Although, that might be changing due to the nutty markets at the moment.
This car is awesome, i think if i had the money i would spec it like this: the colour dark red ( like the one that Shmee150 has ), brown interior with those aliminium parts in the interior and silver wheels. That would be the perfect spec for me!

I like the GTc better than the GTr because of the more subtle look and with a few upgrades from Renntech (chip + downpipes) you can bring this one up the same level.

Just look at how they planned and timed MASSIVE subsidies for EVs precisely for when VW's first proper EVs were on sale. Exactly perfectly timed, and all legislation PERFECTLY for VW. Well, VW messed up with the ID.3 software so it was a few months later than planned, but we could see how the laws were corruptly written for VW once again. Now VW thinks that they EV sales are threatened by unlimited autobahn speeds because EVs are so much slower than ICE cars. Public perception is that EVs are therefore inferior, don't offer better than ICE. So they do what all corrupt people do: make their competition illegal, sabotage whatever doesn't make them money. And the German politicians, Merkel before and then new clown now in her place, and all of the same totally corrupt organisation below them will do whatever VW pays them to, and of course they love to make free people hurt too.

I've had my 2019 GTC up to 160 MPH and I backed off. The speed is driver(testical's) limited lol😬. Hopefully I can meet Martin or someone from AutoTopNL so they can teach me some high-end driving.
I don't like the exhaust. It's too rough. This car is about ultimate refinement. Yet it has the low raw sound of a race car. I know many people like that. But I think it would sound better if it was a smoother higher revving sound. Better yet, put a V-12 in it that redlines at 9,000 then you would have the ultimate car.
