You can really see how nervous he is and how much respect he has to have the opportunity to drive, review and speed testing this car on the Autobahn and the Landstraßen
Of course he's nervous he's driving a 900k/1.2mil dollar car
I would not want to have an accident in someone else's car.....but you can still buy these new from Ford for around 700 grand!

Still doesnt come close to the emotions of the sound of the previous generation in my opinion. Its better than i expected but still should of hat a v8

@@Spacken3160 Speculations say the last gen may have one. Although idk sounds good enough without it, who really needs it? And considering cosworth's role in designing it, if you're american you're gonna be disappointed by the sound as it'll likely be a flat-plane instead of a cross-plane like most American V8s, which is a massive sound difference.
And why really have a V8 anyways? Car's light enough, it has more than enough power? Why, for 50 extra HP? Bah, no real reason for it. And the 3.5 EB CONSISTENTLY sends the coyote away yelping. There really isn't any need for it.

@bo bo what are you even talking about lol just because it’s not a v8 doesn’t mean it isn’t a good engine. For the size of the engine and it’s power it really is quite impressive. The whole point of the car is aerodynamics and it achieves it’s goals very well.
@bo bo Ford knows how to build an engine, as my 1970 BOSS 429 was built for the Nascar circuit. They used a mild cam and simple carb. for the street, but a few quick modifications and the car was race ready. The 426 Hemi gets all the news, via a very aggressive Dodge marketing team, but the very rare BOSS 429 was often times finishing ahead...

I'd rather see 4 minutes of review + walkaround and 16 minutes on the autobahn, than 4 minutes on the autobahn and 16 minutes of walkaround and review

I really enjoy the enthusiasm in this review. Some reviewers just don’t get it. I think more accomplished and experienced drivers (Tiff Needell and Chris Harris) appreciate the depth of engineering more than people that usually review family SUV’s.
Some reviewers don't buy cars like this, so they will never understand. They usually just drool over brand names and such.

This is a corner-oriented, speed-carry vehicle set up for the track, it's purpose is not 0-100 or top speed, don't forget that 👀👍

@@jaromor8808 You consider yourself a Ford guy but failed on your education of their Halo car. This car wasn't even made for hot laps, it was made *PURELY* for LeMans. It fulfilled its only purpose flawlessly. And the Ford GT set its VIR record by accident after making laps a few laps trying to solve an issue with the car. GM sent the C7 ZR1 out to VIR making hotlap after hotlap with the intentions of getting the ZR1 it's fastest time possible. That's still amazing but I could care less about the ZR1 when it's next to a Ford GT because at the end of the day, it's just another fast sports car with a big engine.

Crazy how the induction sound is like an NA car even though there definitely are 2 massive turbos on the car. No idea how they managed that but I love it so much

14:45 Tip my Uncle Eddie gave me (who was a racer with SCCA) : you never want to hear your tires squeal when you're launching. You're losing traction and time doing that. Be firm, then stomp. You'll see a difference. That's why you had nearly half a second difference between the claimed and actual.

I think everyone was complaining about the XJ220. It was marketed as a V12 to potential customers but released with the V6. Not happy apparently.

I was a v8 guy for long time i bought a Ford 3.5 eco boost not in GT unforually but in F150 2021 400hp 510 ibs torque had a few races best one was Audi turbo got as close as my back tires hit 10th gear and i was gone

Just to correct you, My Aventador SV takes 3 seconds to fully lift and 1 second to drop. I don't remember about my Huracan.

It’s quite the feat of engineering. The GT brand/spirit is an example of what I always knew Ford was capable of building, a world beater.

This car the best of all worlds, which makes it an incredible endurance racer. It has a better pedigree than the stupid F8, peddled by rich wanna be influencers and used for youtube views. The F8 is as corporate and soulless as it gets.

Thats the point - I was not talking about the GT3 race cars in which btw the F8 successor, the 488, is still on top of the game and far better than the Ford GT. It won the most prestigious endurance races in the world including the 24h of Lemans this year in front of the Porsches and Astons... Also Ferrari has more racing pedegree than any Ford will ever have. Come back to F1 - the pinnacle of motorsports - and then we can talk again.
The street legal Ford Gt 2017 is just a joke and not worthy to be called Ford GT as its predecessor was a racing car icon. This new model is just trash - performance and price wise. Huge let down as everyone was expecting more
It wasn't faster in acceleration because all manufacturer claims are with clocked with a 2 foot roll out, which makes a massive difference.

Well I'm not a Ford hater at all but really 650 bhp is peanuts for a car that costs a much as that one does. If Ford wants to offer a halo car is should be powered like one. It is like of pointless and a waste of time to put a Ford GT up against any modern (750 - 800 bhp) McClaren or Ferrari?

You know what i noticed driving one? Because of how big my feet are and how hard these things pull, i was accidentally letting off just a tiny little bit. If you bring the pedal box just a few inches closer to you than you initially think, it alleviates that issue. Im a master Audi technician. I work on every R8 in Northern Nevada as well as Gallardos and hurricanes. We dont have a Lamborghini dealer anywhere close so, i got to go to Italy and learn that sheetmetal and interior really is the only difference between a hurricane and R8. Ive driven so many supercars. Murcealago, 458 italia, 488 pista, that monstrosity front engine job they glued a GTO badge on that made me so mad after driving it i think less of Ferrari now yet, this little twin turbo v6 ford gt is by far and away my favorite supercar. Period. I also really enjoyed the lexus LFA but the gearbox is a joke by todays standards. The ford gt has its faults, absolutely. However, when youre pushing the car hard, it starts to show you its true colors. The front end grip is absolutely unbelievable. Then you stand on it after clipping the apex and she just dances up on her toes like a ballerina and BEGS for more. Ive never been so impressed with a car in my life. The only other car i was THAT stoked on was the rear wheel drive R8. My god what an automobile that is. With a track alignment and sticky tires the thing is just bliss. But the ford would leave it for dead in a drag race, autocross, or at Laguna Seca. The 3rd gen Ford gt is what ALL supercars should be in my opinion. Not status symbols, but a weapon.
Ford has always had a very impressive racing pedigree from almost day one of the OG Mr. Ford as he was making one off race cars way before he reinvented the way cars where made. bit of history for guys . amazing video guys.

car is so quick looking on regular roads! It's there, and then it warps time and space at cruising speeds.
The V6 has an advantage over the V8 - it is lighter and shorter which is quite important for a race car (as you already mentioned). All in all it makes me think that this car was built with the intent of being the best it can be on the race track and not appealing to anyone. This, combined with the rest of the crazy engineering (the intercoolers blowing off air through the tail light blew my mind) is really cool IMO, keeps it pure in a way. Also, it sounds absolutely amazing with this exhaust.
OK, let's get real. Say a U.K. buyer purchased one of these, no-one working for Ford U.K. has the ability to even service it. A few years ago I bought two small new Fords for my children. I'll give but two from many examples as to how inept For main dealersips are:
EXAMPLE ONE:
I returned one car FIVE times due to a non-operative petrol guage. They played around with it and re-placed a sender unit two or three times. Eventually the UK's no. 2 Engineer was called to the dealership from head office. He fixed it, explaining to the local mechanics that the relative cable had TWO ends and one was not connected.
SECOND EXAMPLE:
After returning the car because its timing had slipped the dealership informed me that it could not be fixed as there was no fix procedure. Apparently the timing was self-adjusting and only the car could fix itself. Presumably after one spoke to it nicely?
In the U.K. the undersides of Fords rot out quickly and one has to be careful not to find oneself sitting on the road one day. I suspect that Ford hope that such occurs before they are requested to do more than an oil and filter change?
So, the Ford GT is nothing short of being a joke due to Ford's servicing staff.
