@travelescapesOFFICIAL This Anne, she's wishing for you. 😇
You're killin' her:
strummin' the guitar,
climbin' trees,
bringin' gifts for Aya,
wearin' that ridiculous wig 'n bringin' her a green one for her to wear,
holdin' 'n caressin' the baby goat,
helpin' with the preppin' food,
learnin' th' local language,
'n on 'n on . . . .
You dog!
You're goin' to have a reputation in her neighborhood as a Casanova!
I'm SOOOO jealous of you.
😍🥰🤩💓
Theyre just friends ... But why am i feeling Kilig. 😁✌🏻 His eyes are beautiful.. 🤩
You guys are so sweet and fun to watch. I love watching you both, you’re not wild or crazy not like other couples. Make more food together please!!! Yummm
Beautiful guitar strumming 😊
I don't know how you 2 aren't a couple. You guys have great chemistry and banter!
maybe they are but discreetly.
@@edm8037 he was a little cagey about her situation in a previous video so it made me wonder :P He's crazy if he doesn't ask her out if she's available.
Hi watching from philippines ❤🇵🇭
I appreciate you taking the time to know the Philippines, Filipinos, our culture, and traditions.
It’s my pleasure! Locals have been so welcoming to me here!
Kare-kare is typically cooked using oxtail. The collagen in oxtail makes it sticky even without cornstarch. You are missing the shrimp paste sauce. You eat it on top of kare-kare and rice as a salty spice. Really elevates the kare-kare to a whole different level.
My asawa makes this for me all the time. It's one of my favs!
So energetic, joyful and natural! Very lovely place!
You and Ann fight like loving married couple ❤
And Aya so sweet cute little princess 😃 So happy you gave her that doll! Next time buy her a princess dress and tiara!
🤗🎁
I know it’s been said, you and Ann have the best chemistry. You would do well to take her with you on all your videos ❤
Happy New Year lovebirds 🎉🎉🎉. Anne is a cute and simple country woman, she also has a happy disposition.
Awww, you’re doing “Harana” with your guitar is so sweet, that means courting her lol
I love the friendship you have its beautiful
Idk how I started watching your videos but there very entertaining to me. Ann and the lil girl are golden, Ann's vibe is a 10/10 you guys are an awesome team
Howdy again from central Texas! I have been married to a Filipina from Luzon for 21 years, my wife and I really enjoy your videos. You make the best videos on the Philippine life. Keep them coming!
Another love team episode,my new year is complete ❤.
😂 happy new year!
Sir Jon i feel happier when you two are together, you guys will have lovely children👍🏻❤️🥰😘👍🏻
Welcome back to the Philippines Jonathan! I'm happy to see you both ❤
Aya is a doll, so cute..
She is!
I can't wait to see the next video of you both. It's been too long. Hope you are all doing well.
The bisaya word ,lata, is used to refer to fruits and veggies that are overripe and no longer good for consumption . When you use lata in reference to cooking it means one or some of the ingredients are over cooked . So when Anne said lata-lata she meant the veggies were overcooked. Anyways , I agree with you , more peanut butter is the best in karekare, oxtail is the best version for Kare2 paired with bagoong or fermented shrimp paste . Aya is sooo cute , I’m not surprised she’s good in English . In my family we spoke English first then bisaya then tagalog. Even until now when we gather for reunions and family get togethers English is always the medium so our conversation is mainly Bislish . I’ve been traveling as well haven’t seen your vids in a while . Glad to know you’re back in the Philippines. Have a blessed 2024 Jonathan . Btw I think Anne is gorgeous , she calls you opaw, that means you’re special to her .
Hi Jonathan, fairly new subscriber.
Bless your heart, your kind & thoughtful to little girl
Your gift to her is precious, that’s so sweet of you.
Keep up your awesome videos with Anne cooking.
MY God bless you all.
From U S A
Thank you sir for visiting our country Philippines and choosing my province to spend your vacation
You guys are good together. I was hoping you were with her.
Anne's a very good friend of mine!
its like you can see she's waiting she's keeping it cool but if he asked her out she would be there in a heartbeat she's a sweetheart
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL The important thing about friends is that you can play and have fun together.
thank you loving philippines,, and you always coming back
Aya is so cute and funny! Happy that she speaks english too, so that the two of you can communicate...There's not much like you who doesn't drink Jonathan. Keep it up man!
Your vids with Anne is always very interactive and funny specially the cooking sessions ❤😂 The fights for adding more peanut butter is so adorable 😂
Perfect setting in a kubo 😊
i like ate a lot. hindi maarte, very natural and relaxed and above all... really smart and kind.
Anne is a very simple yet smart Filipina. I am impressed. Well mannered also.
OMG the chemistry between you two is so cute! Don’t get stuck in the friend zone!
Could literally watch you and Anne all day! Would be cool to see you 2 travel together.
Welcome back to the Philippines, Hope your Christmas trip was great! Been Chilling here in Palawan for two months now and I love it.
You two have such an endearing way of flirting. I think you're very comfortable with each other. I hope this friendship will blossom into more than friendship. Only time will tell.
Love you both.😘
I love these posts here with them. Huge fan of Ann and her niece, so sweet and lovely. I am smiling the entire time watching.
My favorite Filipino food : kare kare, chopsuey, pansit, vegetable lumpia and pork sinigang. Glad, you love Filipino food. Be safe .
Loved the cooking show, now I can try Anne’s recipe!
Always a pleasure to watch the two/three of you interact with each other
Atsuete or annatto oil is usually flavorless used for coloring dishes. In our hometown in Antique, its used to color the Adobo dish.
Awesome teamwork.I love watching you guys while cooking
This is really fun to watch 💝 "Ay naku" is a Filipino slang, can mean "oh my goodness" "Oh my gosh" "oh well.." etc....
achiote is an organic orange red food coloring from anatoo tree seeds...Thank you so much 💖 happy New Year!
Thank you for the translation and for watching!!
Welcome back to the Philippines. Have a good day.
Thanks Jason!
Pechay or Bok Choy is "Snow Cabbage" in English, a green leafy vegetable grown in Asia.
ooo thank you for the clarification! I think I've seen it in other dishes around Asia before also!
I was thinking when seeing its Pak Choi. Is it similar or the same, do u know?
@@dada-gx9ii I googled a lot the same for Bok Choi and Pak Choi, a bit short. Pechay is a bit taller than those two.
Yeah Anne is back..Jonathan is on Philippine time...wow.
I liked the episode where you cooked the jackfruit with Ann. And I’m always waiting for a new version of that. Just that nostalgic quiet-afternoon-in-the-hut-cooking-food feels. Now here it is! And featuring one of my favorite food as well - Kare-kare. 😋
This girl loves you,God bless you.
Next time she says your late say hey Filipino time. lol I’m glad you came home for Christmas. Next to let me know when you back home again I would really like to ask you about preparing to go to the Philippines. I truly love it when y’all do videos together you can tell how happy y’all are around each other. If y’all ever decide to get married i want to be invited. lol I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New years. Be safe on your journeys.
Loved watching your down to earth video of cooking kare kare in the simplest way in a humble setting with Anne. Keep the fun coming !
You two look cute together in this video. Both of you are comfortable with each other. She can call you 'opaw' and I think you said 'buang' caused she was acting funny. And it's good, you insisted to add more peanut butter. The food really looks good and healthy. I love to see that kind of life there, simple but happy. Welcome back to Philippines.
She’s so cute, pretty, and sweet….don’t let this one slip away my friend 😊
Welcome home Jon. Enjoy cooking with your good friend. God bless.
♥ What a fun and steady episode. Thanks for posting!
Oh my gosh!
Hay naku! This is a handy way to commiserate with someone or express concern or frustration. Hay naku can be most directly translated as similar to using a phrase like 'oh my gosh! ' or 'Oh no'.
Atsuete or Annato is an orange-red food coloring or condiment made from the seeds of the achiote tree (Bixa orellana), which grows in tropical regions
Great video guys, Johnathan and Anne And Aya Happy New years.. Love the vids with Anne an Aya in them with you..
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas vacation back in the States, but I'm glad to see you back in the Philippines and so glad to see Anne again. Watching the interaction between the two of you is so cool.
Actually, you can add coarsely to finely chopped peanuts or as a topping it gives a different texture to the dish... kare-kare goes well with sauteed shrimp paste...
Soothing sound of music, Jonathan. You guys are fun to watch and so as Aya!
I just love watching your video. It is not boring at all.
It must be so good to be back in Philippines coming from the west where it’s so cold right now 😮
yessss!! I was not a fan of the cold!
so cold even is SoCal!
@@EvSerenadeYes it can get under 60 F in December in Socal and that's cold for many like me.
Wow love u both Jonathan and Anne .
Keep more vlogs coming and that guitar plucking Spanish Romance is awesome !
Play that with her the whole piece please .
Sure hope you and Ann are or will get together you seem really happy
You and Ann should start a cooking vlog using the kubo and the surrounding area and plant some vegetables around
Dear Jonathan, you can wish a Happy New Year throughout January. This gives you the chance to see more people and wish them happiness. Happy 2024 to you, your family, and your followers. God's Blessings, Irish
Nice to see you back, they're very friendly family .God Bless
Atsuete is from annatto tree. The color come from its seeds by adding oil and annatto seeds to a small saucepan and placing it over medium heat.
I actually didn’t know this answer until you left this comment! Thank you!
What a relaxing place to be.
Glad to see you back in the Philippines. We always enjoy your videos with my husband and love to see the cooking show. Just wondering though why Ann always put you down (he he he) but probably that's her way of talking
Aya is so adorable. 😂
she is!
Love watching the Ann cooks series 😂 Chicken Adobo for sure is my favourite, pancit canton, Lumpia, So many good dishes to choose from though, Lachon it soooo good too 😖🤦 Mango float is by far my favourite dessert though 😁
One of the best!! Love this.
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you liked it!
You're videos are interesting. You're videos with her are wonderful! God bless you all. 🙏🙏
Shes very pretty, hard working, versatile and easy to please. When you 2 ate together it reminds me of the Vagabond Channel.
Kare-kare is usually a beef dish. It's best if you use oxtail and when the peanuts are roasted and then ground into paste, but the peanut butter makes it easier to prepare. And now that you've expanded to what's usually a beef dish, I want to recommend that you cook balbacua next time. It's usually made with the cow's skin, but it's also best with oxtail or the legs.
Honestly, you guys really need to get married. You get along so well and it’s a great match! I think you’ve been single long enough, and this one is good for you! Good luck!❤
Most of your viewers are Filipino in the Philippines! Listen to them and let them guide your journey in the most beautiful place on earth!
Glad to see another vid with Ann..
I bet he likes her, he keeps coming back 😅 one thing is for sure, a way to a mans heart is through his stomach.
When he visits her, he brings his guitar and actually knows how to play his guitar.
Cool!
Then he wants her to teach him local slang words and phrases in the local dialect language.
More cool!
Fun video.
Happy New Year Jonathan! Also to Ann! Hope you had a great time with family back home in Sweet Alabama. Welcome back and looking forward to your adventures.
That's so inpressive, the 3 year old can fully understand what you're saying in English!! We learn French in school in Canada and most of us dont know French 😂😂😂😂😂
It is! But as I was editing this I was thinking maybe she’s 4 now.
That girls dad American?
Johnathan, they asked about Anne because we all love her and we want to see more vids with you and her in them.. I texted you before I'm married to a Filipina, the best thing I ever did.. Anne's a sweet beautiful lady. Don't lose her bro!!
Awww, you must love Aya.. you’re so sweet.❤
Love watching you guys enjoying the country life style! Oxtail Kare Kare is my fave and is a must try next time you cook. Enjoy:)
Hope you had a great Xmas and New Year Ann great to see you back on the channel .
We got to meet our favorite Vlogger this evening on Alona Beach! What an awesome human being! Keep up the good work! Jim and Anne
Heyyy! It was great chatting with you guys last night!! Have a great rest of your trip and thank you for following along the channel!!
Sweety paste is usually Tamarind paste it grows on the Tamarind tree. It is natures Sweet Tart candy. It is super sweet and very tart. Great to make sauce. I love them when ripe. However, eating then can remove a little enamel from your teeth.
Your channel is my favorite. The Philippines are also my favorite. My old town is Cebu but it is now so big.
i can watch this everytime...
Chicken pinaubo is another good one- native chicken soup with unripened papaya.
we ship this as a loveteam!! #TeamJoAnn hahahaha it is good that u have a very very good friend here in Ph like Ann and Aya 😀 welcome back!!!
you two are amazing, thanks for a good video
It's always a lot of fun when you're together 😂😍
More videos with Anne please! Love all your videos but ones with Anne are my favorites.
I just made an Anne playlist 😂 so now all her videos are grouped together
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL Thank you. That will save me from guessing which video was your first together.
Happy New Years to you's...shorts and tank tops, I envy you. It's cold in California. Ann...love to see how you cook your Chicken Adobo...and I might be coming in June, depending on how a 15:26 test flight to Vegas goes..very claustrophobic, but I think first class look roomie enough.
Hey Jhonny, good to see you back and Aya is so cute and adorable. Wonder who is her mom and she's a lovely little girl knows how to entertain people. Ann is so good in cooking and feeding hungry tummy like you. "Kare-kare" is one of filipino dish that is so especial that usually served only during fiesta, birthdays, December holidays and special events. It goes great with "baggong" Jonathan.
"HAY NAKU' is a kind of pinoy phrase of saying something is going to be hard to do, going to happen or just like whinning.
That look sparkle, but sometimes friendship is tough to navigate.
That's not friendship you are seeing haha
In Philippines even though we said upaw to our friends or special someone, it’s kind of a secret endearment. ❤ I felt kilig while watching you both. 😍🫶🫶
Haha yeah I’m not offended when she says it.. she always calls me that 😅
Yes, it's a term of endearment
Welcome back my friend! Hello Ann 👋
Jonathan, you have such an endearing personality.
Thank you very much! 😊
Welcome back...🎉
thank you! it's great to be back!
Jonathan, am really enjoying watching your videos and paying good attention to the places you go to… I’ve never visited Bohol and will definitely book a place there on my next trip! With the whole family I hope. I fell in love in Siquijor island and now I really can’t wait to see and experience Bohol. Keep making NEW videos And I’ll keep watching!! You’re doing a good job!!! ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!! Personally I actually like Siquijor better than Bohol! If you get outside of Alona beach area bohol is beautiful, but I don’t really like the Alona beach area where most of the tourism is.. I like the laid back town of Anda, Bohol; but it is far away
