I know Seb wasn't the arch enemy or anything, but why did Felix destroy all artifacts instead of all enchantments? There were WAY more threatening enchantments out.
I agree. Imo depending on what the person is playing, enchantments are way more of a threat than artifacts. But we all have tunnel vision in these kinds of games
There's a little misplay at 12:01. Unlike many other cards Puppeteer Clique only exiles the reanimated creature at the end of YOUR next end step. So as the clique entered during Maxime's end step and reanimated Sheoldred she would stick around for a full turn cycle, not just until Seb's end of turn. Unfortunately it never got that far.
Having an explosive start like that with braids is exactly what you want. If you empty your hand turn two, it doesn’t really matter as long as you have braids out. Sack a random 1/1 and no one else wants to lose their one drops, so you refill your hand. Such a good start for Maxime
I also play Ayara, and people in my LGS got so tired of me saying"Everyone loses one life and I gain one life", that they turned it into a keyword. Now that specific effect is called a "Aaron".
Probably because they thought keeping the Sythis player going was in their best interest, without realizing there was almost a combo to be assembled. I don't think it's the right play, because I think they're already out of the game except if Sythis becomes the obvious target. But I can understand the thinking.
I love Braids ine of my favorite commanders to play. I have a historic themed Braids deck playing almost all legendary creatures and planeswalers. With a heavy theme of playing with opponents cards with gonti, the new gisa, tergrid, nashi and others. Braids just provides solid card draw when im getting empty handed. Almost always draw 1-2 cards with her each time. Especially when sacrificing planeswalers or enchantments to the ability.
I don't understand why the Austere Command was for artifacts and not enchantments. One deck was literally all enchantments, another was lifegain obviously aiming for the sanguin blood combo, the third had an enchantment to just get back any creature they wanted from their graveyard. Such a misplay.
Andrew “plays a swamp which isnt a surprise because he is playing mono black” Me: *laugh but mad i laughed because its pain stakingly true and obvious* you right
Sorry to nitpick, but you messed up the links to the deck lists: the one listed as Sythis is in fact the Cadric list Ps: can we please have the Sythis list, I am sooooo looking for a good one
I always love seeing the sanguine bond/exquisite blood combo go off,! It's my all time favorite combo to use (I'll probably get a lot of hate for saying that but I don't care). I have that combo in my Oloro stax and drain deck, my vampire tribal deck, and my mono black syr Konrad deck that I most likely gonna change to Ayara, especially after seeing Marie's Ayara deck in action once again.
Apparently it IS legal to use Blind Obedience in Sythis, despite the presence of a black mana symbol. Apparently having the Extort keyword ability doesn't add that symbol to a card's rules text.
w/o rites of flourishing the enchantress deck probably wins there - that card puts your win percentage in the bin - that said, it's a casual game so nothing wrong with it, people who play it should just understand it's not a good card if you want to win !
Rashmi and Ragavan is the next deck I wanna build. I really like the idea of playing things from other people's libraries while getting a treasure token doing it.
this Ending is quite lame honestly. But that's Boros player's fault, he should have destroy enchantments instead of artifacts. I enjoy watching Braids decks. The Pug effect boosted black decks too much.
Man not choosing enchantments really doomed this game.

Cool game! It felt a little too polarized, though, a race between the two Black decks powered by the early Rites of Flourishing.

Combos like this one are fine. Austere command could have chosen enchantments to deal with it before it went off.
Oh my God, that's exactly what I said when they chose artifacts! Like, what are you DOING?! 😅
Yea choosing artifacts..... Against a exquisite blood on the field and deck based of enchantments.... Interesting indeed
2 black decks with coffers out, and the man wipes off the mana rocks from the table, way to go 😂😂
I also play Ayara, and people in my LGS got so tired of me saying"Everyone loses one life and I gain one life", that they turned it into a keyword.

10:22 why the artifacts and not the enchantments?

I feel so bad for Felix. Getting roasted in the comments, that is
The richard kane ferguson playmat is always 👌
Hope you get better! I remember telling my NP that I was getting an ear infection and they told me adults don't get them -_-
Plague of vermin is another "1-card combo" with Ayara as long as you have more life than your opponents!
A Muddstah video on my birthday!?! Let’s goooooo
Happy birthday!
@@MTGMuddstah thank you! Keep up the amazing work!
Blind Obedience gets played, *Sad Riyona sounds*
Austere Command not choosing enchantments when there's an enchantress player and a player with half of the Exquisite+Sanguine combo? Seriously, Felix?

Poor Felix.
Playing a creature deck vs 2 mono black decks...
Andrew “plays a swamp which isnt a surprise because he is playing mono black”
Me: *laugh but mad i laughed because its pain stakingly true and obvious* you right
what a win!
I swear Felix has a bunch of Bruse Tarls in his sleeve
Why AC for artifacts?!!
Cause i wanted seb to win and kill mono black player but i didn't workout well
Sorry to nitpick, but you messed up the links to the deck lists: the one listed as Sythis is in fact the Cadric list

Fixed and added Sythis!
missed a few mind crank triggers

Am I crazy or was there no life gain triggers from sythis?
There were, I likely just didn’t announce them to save time

I mean Crypt Ghast has the same symbol and it's in every mono black deck ever.

Yeah that's why I only run it in my 5 color bounce lands omanath deck
I am almost done building my Rashmi and Ragavan Deck, I just need to get the last 14 cards for my deck to be fully complete
Rashmi and Ragavan is the next deck I wanna build. I really like the idea of playing things from other people's libraries while getting a treasure token doing it.
Ayara triggers herself by the way
Yes that is in fact how this game ended
@@Tristyn_Waterman yes in fact he missed the furst trigger at the start of the game
@@Abby_Affchen ??? no they didn't?
@@Abby_Affchen you're talking about when ayara is first played at 2:20 right?
Heliod can only give other creatures lifelink btw not itself
It have Sythis lifelink
Best girl won and that’s what matters

I enjoy watching Braids decks. The Pug effect boosted black decks too much.
The drain infinite combo is so lame. Game was going ok even though the mono black players were dominating.
Misplays this big almost deflate the 14 minute video lol. Like we didn’t see what was supposed to happen. Lame.
That combo stops the fun 😢
Was a really fun game until the combo at the end. I don't really care about combos but that ones been Done soooo many times it's just kind of lame
lame combo :/
Guess my issue with mono-decks is they seem to win using the same combos over and over. Not trying to speak ill of the players.
it's always sad to see monoblack decks when they could so easelily be so much bettter.
What do you mean?
Yeah, constant lifegain in small portions is the bane of any editor... 🥲
