  • Having a bigger clean means you will be faster, stronger and likely win more Olympic weightlifting competitions. Of the 1000's of athletes I've coached the ones with the best clean were usually the ones who won on the field, court and platform the most.
    In this video I show you my favorite drills to make your clean or power clean increase.

    Outside of weightlifting, what do you think are important accessories to work on when finished weightlifting. Does this vary by lifter or the program!?

      Zim. Definitely depends on the lifter and where they might have weak points. Here are 2 videos on accessories that I have, upper body (th-cam.com/video/Jcpgms5NjuY/w-d-xo.html) and posterior chain (th-cam.com/video/94Tb-Lj1jh4/w-d-xo.html)

    I was doing CrossFit for a few years and I got hurt a couple of time while training .. I feel great now since I quit CrossFit ....I'm sure I didn't find a smart coach to teach me the right form actually I'm convinced this was the reason of my injuries....what is ur take on CrossFit ?

      Crossfit like anything, is dependent upon the coach! There are good and not so good professionals in every field. Unfortunately it sounds like you got a not so good professional, and I'm sorry to hear that.

    Is a clean from the hip the same as a clean from the power position?

    • @WilFleming1K
      @WilFleming1K  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Certainly pretty close. I think most people teach the power position a little lower on the thigh and maybe with some torso incline. Hip position should be a vertical torso and the bar as close to the crease of the hip as possible. I really want to use the hip position to drill the idea of VERTICAL on the finish. Hope that helps!

    My dip clean is substantially more than my clean from the floor. I can dip clean 10-12 kg more

      @WilFleming1K  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've seen periodically and it means you get into a better position in your dip clean than you get into during a real clean. This could be technical (you miss that position in your pull) or it could be strength related (you can't hold the position). One thing to be careful of is making sure that the dip clean position is physically possible in a real clean ie. do you get a bend in your knees that you couldn't actually hit in a pull from the floor.
