On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

just asking although i might not get a reply, how do you manage to get the f22 onto a mission on a map aside from the caucasus as it wont show for anything and i just got the sinai map yet it wont work on that one either

I’ve seen almost every GS dogfight for the past 3 years and I’ve never heard him say he is too FAST in an F-18 😂
The F-18 can do everything. It can do high speed too. In this video, GS flew an F-18 like he does an F-16.

4:16 genuinely believed you can finally take a shot against the raptor. But the way the raptor turned your advantage against you really shows how much of a dogfighting monster the f22 is
Worst part is Bane the f-22 pilot was making several mistakes in this fight. And still won the majority of rounds
The comedic timing on, "Uh, wait... this doesn't look grea-" SPLAT - I can watch that over and over.
I think we all knew the F18 was going to be capable against the F22 after it showed how capable of a fighter it was against alien fighters during the battle in July 1996.

@@mcbill7352 I hate this quote because it makes it seem like an ace in a sopwith camel is going to be shooting down F-22's. In modern combat it really is mostly the plane. You can see the F-22 making tons of mistakes yet still wins in the end.
It's scary how the raptor pilot ejected from the falling plane only to face-palm into the ground...
And GS got headshotted in the first round and lawn darted in the last round. No pilots survived this fight.

The false canopy painted on the underside of the Canadian Hornet is pretty cool and sneaky.
The end of that final dogfight over the high tension lines was pretty wild.
Fun fact about that F-18 Hornet's paint scheme: In the 1970s, US aviation artist Keith Ferris invented a false canopy to paint on the underside of military aircraft, directly underneath the front of the plane, the purpose of which was to camouflage the direction the aircraft is heading in order to confuse the adversary in a dog fight. (the A-10 Warthog utilizes the same thing)
This sounded so cartoonish I had to look it up, and holy smokes that's cool. The illusion actually works.

At around 4:20 when GS seemed hopeful that the f-22 was going to cross his nose, I immediately looked at the way the raptor seemed so slow and thought "Oh dear lord no... the raptor's done it again"
My favorite part of this whole video was that replay of the first kill where you could see the gun flap open and close.

The Raptor is a beast...it almost seems like the only way to defeat it is praying for pilot error.

Decent flight between a camo hornet and a stealth fighter. I probably should suggest for a dogfight between the Gripen and the Felon to compare their fast-turning rates with the use of missiles. I haven't even seen the underrated maneuverability of the Gripen if it usually acts like an F-16 in a dogfight if possible. Please kindly fly it GS. Thanks!

I see being a fighter pilot or a soldier as job. It's an occupation. I'm grateful for the defense work that they do for a career.
I don't usually end up in dogfights since I have been A10 main in DCS but watching helps quite a bit in defending

Personally I would recommend using vertical scan mode when using guns, hmd lock in my experience can be very iffy with when it does and doesn’t lock
hmm, never had an issue with getting lock with the HMD on the hornet, the F-16 is a different story.
Try aligning your HMD before takeoff to lock easier

I'm a total F14 fanboy and often wish or wonder what would have been had they continued with modernizing the Fat Cats to D models and developed the Super Tomcat. So, the Hornet suffers a bit when doing so.... But I'm always excited to see the CF188 fly on your channel.
I'm an F-16 fanboy and I wish we'd got to see the naval F-16 instead of the F/A-18.
But variety is the spice of life so I think flight sim community got the best outcome out of it all.
F-14 was too fat for the Navy

Super Tomcat 21 would've dominated the skies as well as the F22 does, I have no doubt. But Grumman was blackballed then to make way for that luscious Boeing lobbying.
