Great job Ulka Sudhalkar! It’s people like you who will bring the country into a beautiful tomorrow. Not only does your initiative help women have a better quality of life, which is a great step forward in India, it’s also a lesson in environment friendly solutions. Wish you great success..
This is an impressive & inspirational work done by her . I also like to thanks scroll.in ,DW & eco India for bringing such inspiring Indian stories to us .
Wonderful initiative. This should be followed in every city and municipality. Each bus have also employ one lady. This should be appreciated by all levels of society.
Really inspiring such a giant step towards women, mam we need people like you who stands apart and look at the problems with a different viewpoint. THANK YOU MAM
I could not stop myself from commenting on this video. The work is simply superb. The idea is so simple that it can be implemented at every corner in the country. It is amazing to see citizens to take up these initiatives and a little help from govt can transform society into a beautiful place. In the future, perhaps the same can be extended to men as well.
It’s a commendable effort towards hygiene and sustainability.. kudos to her ! I guess the USP is they’re recycling buses, if you take that away it’s just another toilet that’s well maintained. And the buses have to go the scrap yard sooner or later..
I think the evacuation of wastes should be an integral part of this sustainable development model. One can approach municipal bodies and govt to get those treated & recycled and the solid waste generated upon treatment can be sold / supplied to farmers at cheap rates as biofertiliser.
Great innovation. But where is all the sanitary waste is going? Is it being collected in a tank & disposed with due regard to environmental impacts. How about nights? Is there proper safety & protection of women folk ensured?
Instead of building and maintaining public toilets for everybody, the municipal corporation decides to go with the cheaper option of repurposing old, decommissioned buses as toilets just for women. What?
i think poor women should be given free acess if thye can show adhar card attached to some income strat ...i dont how it works in india been in US all these are free .At least for poor , below poverty line it should be free
Awesome.. and kudos to the lady who has started it. India and world needs more champions like you..
Think of starting yourself or find someone and encourage to start one. It's a decent business opportunity also.
@@the_pk I agree. But apparently i am not sure how can I start. I am out of ideas.

This should be done in every city in India.
Couldn't agree more. And to think how well they made it.
Not just city, but villages too. Women and girls from low income households should be given free access.
