    Dom just a peace of advice to any of your viewers . Last Sunday I was out in my little tinny and nearly had what could have been a bad accident. So intent was yours truly at looking at the sounder trying to find a deep hole in my local waterway I ran into a local sunken barge at about 9 knots which is just covered at high tide and well marked with a large red marker . The boat was violently spun totally around facing the way I had just come and I was slammed into the mangroves. Luckily I had the wrist motor cut off on and was sitting down . No great damage to the boat or motor thankfully . Like driving a car never take your eyes off the road or get distracted because things can go to woe very quickly indeed when on the road or water . Thought I would share this little mishap of mine with every one . Cheers 🐓 🍻

  • @linden72

    Size 12 hooks... catch little beach fish in a foot of water at your feet all day, mullet, whiting, tommies., trouties, bream, even a mid forty cm salmon or two, small hooks catch more fish, guaranteed (e.g.tiny fly fishing hooks still catch big trout)

    • @jamman6
      @jamman6 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tontobb8956 How do you catch them?

    • @tontobb8956
      @tontobb8956 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In winter they come close to the reefs to spawn. I will use a weighted float. And cut a bait chaser rig in half so u have about 3 hooks and crimp a small split shot lead on the end of the rig. Use just enough lead so that it will sink down a little. So. Main line. Swivel. Burley float. Bait chaser with split shot crimped on the end.
      I cast over the reefs and u should be able to catch herring and mullet when they’re there.
      Also try local rock groynes and the north and south moles. Berley up with some pollard but don’t use too much as they’ll fill up on burley.
      Smallish hooks. Think about the size of a mullets mouth and use something they can swallow. Sharpen hooks as needed
      Hope that helps mate.
      Perhaps join a fish club to learn stuff. I’m part of the surfcasters. I’ve caught 42lb mulloway. 40 lb Spanish mackerel. Pink snapper. Dhues. Massive sharks released. Folks always willing to help out. Join a local club mate
