I simply LOVE this woman!!!! i love her natural and spontaneous delivery. She is my favorite!!! Wish I could attend her shows...!!! She is so down to earth and real. Smart and clever!!! I would totally love it! Bravo Tig!!!!!!!!!
I loved this interview. E. Alex Jung and Tig Notaro. This was such a wonderful interaction. Did you guys notice that he didn't tend to look at notes, and his questions were always something that helped her tell her story. It was this very symbiotic thing, like in that interview they were being really high spiritually, they were talking on a different level. Lol that's not even hyperbole, because look at what passes for news these days. This is news, to me. This is people exploring spiritual places.
Wow! Amelia Bedelia! The author Peggy Parish came and spoke to us at our elementary school in 1976, and I remember she showed us the original manuscript on white lines paper. I can totally see Tig as a fan!
40 years ago, when I was teaching art at a college, I was tasked with having to move the desk and chair I would be using, into my classroom. There were no janitors or help-staff to assist me in getting both furniture items to my classroom. Both the chair and desk were heavy oak wood. And my classroom was in another building, and the furniture in a different building. So I dragged both items, with the help of one student volunteer. Dragging furniture on the pavement produced the loudest roar of growls, and moans. The sound echoed off the other buildings on the street. The sound was SO horrendous, that it scared people walking on the street. It repelled people,.... from walking anywhere near me. It felt like I had special powers to make people run away from where I was walking. It occurred to me I could continue to drag the furniture when I left the school for the day, to rid the street of pan-handlers, I might otherwise encounter as I walked to my car.

My name is Amelia so I was teased about Amelia Bedellia and all my teachers called me "Amelia Badellia" and it made me so mad. 😂😂

What does the audience member say at 1:11?

I know this is years later but did you ever find out?
My cartoon alter-self is Velma, from Scooby Doo.
What podcast is the guy at the end referring to? I can't hear him.
I think he's referring to Professor Blastoff, but I can NOT hear the name of the guest he's referring to. Maddening!
does anyone know what the conan bit was?
It was her first set ever on Conan. It was the bit where she pushed a stool around the stage
HOLLA AMELIA BEDELIA !!!!
