- I’m Abi Ayres, and I’m not a runner. I don’t understand why runners love such a hard, painful sport. I followed my curiosity to New York City, where I’m training with actual marathoners. They’re not cutting me ANY slack. But they claim that I can actually run a marathon one day. Yeah, we’ll see about that.

Everyone seemed cool except the wannabe drill instructor yelling at Abi for singing; people like that don’t realize their behavior is extremely discouraging for people who are just trying to become active for the first time. Doesn’t make her seem cool or hard, just like a pretentious jerk

That's a great way to find out if you have cardiac insufficiency. Go from low exertion to high in a short period. Darwin is a cruel mistress.
Also, your joints and muscles aren't in condition. Torn muscles and tendons for you.
