- So I was going through some of my old things recently and came across my Furbies from back in the day...
Naturally, I put batteries in them to see if they still worked...

Wow! This takes me back 20 years to when my two daughters both had Furbies. I have to admit that I still say "Hmm... boring" from time to time if something drags. If you held my daughters' Furbies upside down they would cry and say "Hey! Hey! Me Scared"; and if you fed them too much they would make a long, rude noise.
Yessssssss.
You have the Furby I had when I was a child (Lamb) and the Furby I wanted to have (Leopard). So lucky.
Also Furby has a pet sensor, it is very insensitive on the older ones so you might have to press down on their backs a little bit.
I have soo many of these i absolutely love furbies
Ya the 1st gen fur by had only like 6 sensors(light nears eyes, sound near ears, tickle near stomach, petting in back, and food in/on tongue, and could tell if it was turned upside down ), but it could also be 'programmed' to do a particular behavior (I can't remember any of them specifically but,) it was something like: If you pet for 5 seconds, tickle 3 times and then clap, it would dance, or clap 5 times, tickle once, and say hello, it would speak to you or something like that, (well you get the idea)

I have a furby Everytime I try to touch it's stomach he says "NUH UH!!" It is very sassy 😂

They both are original and furby connect but MY opinion the furby connect can do and say more even make cute face expressions so I think I'd love to have a newer Furby

I had a black and Yellow, one (adult sized), a fur by baby, that was white except for the pink ears, and a "fake' fur by from McDonald's, or some other fast food place, that would vibrate when you pulled it's cord.
I have that kind of furby I LOVEEEEE FURBYS I KEEP ASKING MY MOM FOR ONTHER ONE XD I have the furby connect and the 90s furby wich is the one u said the black and white

You can also pet them as you pressed the back sensor when you were trying to tickle them causing them to purr.

I have a both Wizard Furby & a Santa Furby. Got them both back in 1999. The Wizard one broke a few years ago, the Santa one still works, but he goes back to sleep most of the time when he's woken up.

I found one today at a consignment shop for $3 its original and works! Funny thing was I passed it a few times without noticing, but just as i noticed it a known toy collector like myself walked right by it! I just about jumped on it when i saw it.

My Furby is a Furby Boom and it's Turkish because I got it somewhere in Turkey (I am not Turkish) and my mom says when I go to U.K wich I will go to, the Furby will change the language to English,if not it's ok because I will buy Furby 1998 and then buy Furby Boom from U.K,Great Video!

I have a working 2001 silver-eyed Giraffe boy, given name: Ernie, Furbish Name: Mee-Mee (for those curious, I missed it when he first said it, so I pressed his tickle sensor three times, waiting each time for him to stop speaking and moving, then located and pressed his back sensor, waited for him to stop speaking and moving, then I heard him say "me Mee-Mee"), my aunt got him for me off of eBay and we were able to get batteries in him today, and I was so happy when he started up!
I also have an original working pink furby like that one.

I always and still find them scary for some reason. If they released a Horror game where you have to hide from them, I would be super scared. But it is cool that you still have them in such good condition.

I have an original Furby - It used to chat on & on. Now (YEARS later,) I found it in my child's toy stuff but after putting batteries in it went to sleep. Now can't wake it up. Removed batteries and all it did was let out a big sigh, and said "Furby sleeeep AGAIN!?" Yup - THAT was that. I watched this video hoping you'd have a way to wake them up, but it ended with your firby sleeping - oh hummmmm!? Enjoyed your video anyway. Will have to try and look up the old manual or something - let's see.

I've got 7 first gen 5 adults and 2 baby's one is back and blue with black mane and the next one is all black with a black mane the next one is two-tone green with a green mane the other one is orange,blue,green,pink,purple with white mane the next is brown and black spots with a white mane that's the adults now the baby's two tone purple with a purple mane the next one is all white with a white mane. Al but two work the adults are from 1998 and the baby's are from 1999

I walked into my parents kitchen when I was 10, and my sisters broken, one eyed furby woke up behind me on the counter and said, "Oooooo me wa-loh koh-koh. Ooooo." it scared me so bad I can remember what it said almost 25 years later.

Can you put them on their backs to make them sleep? I’m a new original furby owner I don’t know how they work. I didn’t know you can leave them for 5 minutes to make them sleep.

I have one. But he doesn’t work anymore. I keep him because my mom got him when they came out and she’s passed away now. I also have a Teddy Ruxpin who I believe he still functions. Well he did last time I checked.

@@fieryredruby ever considered fixing it? It may just have a stuck motor after not being used for so long, just look up some tutorials on how to jumpstart him and you'll figure it out

Thankfully, all you have to do is make sure you remove their batteries. Thank goodness they haven't developed the sentience to replace their batteries themselves...

I love Furbies so much. I used to have a classic one like these when I was little and I regret getting rid of him. Looking to maybe get a new one soon for after I graduate!

My mom got one for her and one for my sister in 1998. They had to wait until February 99 for them to arrive. My mom was into it until Furby learned all the English. Then she tried to reset hers with a safety pin and broke it. My sister sold them 2 years later at a church sale for a couple dollars. I know they aren't worth much but I would have saved one of I could
a couple of dollars...she should have selled it for 20+

How are you suppose to play hide and seek with a furby don’t you have to move it to the place?
It's a toy from the 90s. When I was little I'd play together with my friend. She'd trigger the "hide and seek" sensor and hide it somewhere and I'd have to find it and the other way around.
