Taxpayers are really angry. Even I am die hard BJP supporter but if this tax burden keeps growing, we need to kick NDA out. Paying taxes is good for the country but not when people with two kids feed the people with 10 kids for free for life.

I am a honest tax payer, struggled, sacrificed my life for a better paying job for my kid, now paying tax in pound of flesh and NO benefits for paying 30% per IT...living on loans..govt wake up and do something for urban upper middle class who backed u 3 terms.
lol At least you are an upper middleclass ( assuming you are a software professional). Then what about people like me who belong to the lower middleclass ( over 5 Lakh annual income) suffering from high food inflation, GST on essential items like packaged foods, LPG, petrol prices, unacceptable healthcare costs, high housing loan EMI and being stuck in an underpaid job ( non-IT Engineer). This is not to say that your 30% slab is deserving as the corporate tax rates are currently lower than personal income tax slabs despite negligible job creation by these crony capitalists.

Nobody pays 30 tax. You pay 27% if your income is 50 lacs. You get so many deductions to reduce tax.

@@Apache1970I do feel for you. I lived in a hand to mouth household as a child too. But, we studied a lot and have managed to get to the next tax brackets. Life is never easy though.

Govt. Declaration show that as of now middle class paid more tax than corporate sector. Middle class are in deep trouble to fight increasing prices of food , education, medical expenses, garments etc. GST on Mediclaim premium to be lowered from exorbitant 18% to 5 %. Senior citizens must get some additional relief to face ever increasing price rises in every sector. Govt. should come to the rescue of Middle class. We are afraid Middle class will move to extinction gradually unless supported by Govt.
Interest on Govt. & Bank deposits to be increased.
Income tax then health & education cess on income tax, then 28 % GST on everything, then toll tax , tax on patrol, service tax …….list never ends

I consider myself upper middle class and that’s why will talk about them- If upper middle class is saying we are suffering that is ridiculous and selfish on our part ; our country has huge inequality build up in last 75 years due to acceptance of corruption as normal behaviour. We the upper middle class should be forthright to help people in the bottom of the pyramid as they are also our brothers and sisters; if we will not who else will help them - and do not forget country can not progress without increasing their prosperity and productivity.
This government intentions are to build up a corruption free nation ; a nation with huge infrastructure; a country with respect for entrepreneurs; a country with equal opportunity for all ; promotion of business for creation of job .
I agree the budget may not be 100 % balanced but we cannot question the integrity of our government.Believe me we are doing what Singapore did 40 years with HH Lee Kuan Yew - building houses for the poor , cleaning of nation , basic facilities for the poor , building world-class facilities .

Very simple and easy task for government... Remove 500₹ note from circulation, make every transaction online like now a days everything is online... Collect GST of flat 10% from everpurchase... Remove income tax., so tax payers get relieved from the burden and everyone will pay taxes for everything... Physical cash and cash purchases are making this not to happen

If not direct benefits , propose innovative schemes since you have some smart people in the government , like
GST relief for first time home buyer / waiver of GST on loans
Auto life insurance for taxpayers with coverage of 90% of tax paid in previous year
GST waiver on one car purchased every 10 year for tax payes above 30% slab etc
Sad truth is budget was finalised long back during halwa ceremony, all this is just pain being expressed, but I highly doubt there will be anything for middle class because these things are discussed too late

Govt doesn't care for middleclass. They are made to live to pay taxes. The minimum tax limit remained stuck to 2.5 lakh & 3 lakh for Sr citizens. This should be raised to atleast 7 lakhs for all and then the slabs should be created. And the exemptions should also remain.
How many of you tax payers would love a rebate or discount on indirect taxes collected by the government?
Imagine this: the burden on tax payers could be significantly reduced if payments were made through online sources like UPI, net banking, credit cards, etc. I'm talking about an 80-90% discount on indirect taxes like GST and cess for those who use online modes! Every transaction would be tracked to the PAN/account holder, ensuring transparency.
Don’t you think if direct taxes are fixed, indirect tax discounts should be too? This would encourage more people to pay their taxes and bring more taxpayers into the system.
