This scene actually made me tear up. Not only did we get to see the original Digidestined kids who preceded Tai and his team, but we also got confirmation on how the sovereigns were created as well. This scene touched once again on how Digimon was no ordinary anime series aimed at children. Death, loss, and sacrifice aplenty are found in this series, and it's why I still love it so much as a grown man. It's a story that reaches across time.
I agree completely. I am a woman in my late 40s, and I absolutely LOOOVE it. I may like Pokemon, and esp the games, but I LOOOVE this series, and all of the seasons that I have seen so far.
well actually Eric Schuller azulongmon from digimon tamers is A different azulongmon from digimon adventure especially since it make no since for the others three Digimon sovereign to be suddenly set free when lay were still locked up even come the end of Digimon adventure season two matter of fact if you check either the Digimon wiki or the wikimon will confirm that Ryo travel from the adventure universe to the Digimon tamers universe
I'm surprised the creators remembered there were original digidestined, because they were only briefly mentioned in the first series and it's been almost 20 years since it came out...when I saw this scene and understood who they were, I almost freaked out, cause I never thought I'd actually live to see this story come full circle, and the fact that the Harmonious Ones were their partners made it even better...I'm very curious to see where they go from here
I hope the writer(s) will also remember about the black ball that Piedmon inserted in Young Gennai's body when he escaped with the 8 chosen digi-eggs during the first season's flashback sequence. It was never revealed what was Piedmon's intention with that, or what the ball actually does/did. I like to believe the ball is what's causing the current Young Gennai to be evil in Digimon Tri.
GeneralEmperor the only thing that doesn't match up about that flashback is that there were 5 digidestined, not just 2. not only that, but the harmonious ones are suppose to be like super powerful megas with no comparison and it clearly showed them over powering the dark masters, but in 02 azulongmon said the dark masters sealed them away. wonder if they'll even be shown in tri other than this flashback.
I always thought that that black ball only made Gennai age, I think Gennai is really more connected to the balance of light and darkness in the digital world and therefore if the balance shifts too much towards one side he turns evil or good
The holy digimon pretty much go, "Hey, let's sacrifice our friend, the one we traveled and overcame heaps of hardship to get here, by turning him into a bullet and firing him at the dark masters. Yeah!"
Interestingly, if my lore is right, these are the 'Scared' digimon, we still don't have a full origin for the 3 holy digimon and the 7 demonic corruptions (that I know of), also depends on if Frontier is the prior digital world, or another digital demension.
So it took the 4 Holy Beasts and a miraculous sacrifice to seal the Dark Masters...later Wargreymon and Weregarurumon were enough to destroy them. Yeah, seems legit.
@@ghedebaronsamedi Isn't the difference that Tai's gang had the Crests that the original DigiDestined didn't have? Not to mention in this case it was the Dark Masters all at once vs the OGDestined, where as with Tai's gang they fought and defeated each Dark Master separately.
It's funny, most of the time Megadramons are usually shown as these ruthless underlings for the villain, mindless henchmen with stupid strength, but here we see one that not only protects but even sacrifices itself for the greater good, always loved their design and sad to see how this one had to go.
Not even going to lie. I didn't see this coming in a million years. This is why Digimon Adventure is still the best. Even after all these years Digimon still continues to amaze and surprise us. And wow did this opening do just that. Sad thing is that I can relate to Maki. If I had a Digimon and lost it I'd be devestated.
Me too. I do not think that I could get over it either. I would need serious therapy, but could I tell them my Digimon partner was killed. No... I would most likely be in a loony bin. I highly doubt that these 5 kids returned to the real world, unless they needed to find a fifth child. (Unlikely at this stage). I could not see the other 4 winning as many battles without the 5 kids altogether, however possible. -Add on, all of their partners have digivolved into Ultimate before this battle. The only ones that she could talk to would be Diago, and the other 3 kids, and she was still probably stunned that their partners appeared to kill her partner, in order to take out the Dark Masters, but look how it looked to a little girl. Megadramon was just an Ultimate. By the way, she remained near her partner the whole time. Megadramon took a blast from the 4 Dark Masters in order to protect both, her and Diago. Loader Liomon immediately whisked Diago away from Maki and an injured Megadramon, while preparing to digivolve with the Fat Boy, Other Girl, and Tall Boy's partner, as they are positioned as 4 corners of a square. Actually some unseen force (Homeostasis) whisked Diago, Fat Boy, Other Girl, & Tall Boy, and their partners, and positioned them into a square. Maki's injured partner, was then raised into the air, by the same force, while she sees the other partners digivolve into Mega. Other girl's Orochimon digivolves into Ebonwumon. Fat Boy's Triceramon into Aulongmon probably. Tall Boys Hippogryffmon into Zhiaquiomon probably. and Diago's Loader Liomon into Baihumon probably. Then Maki's Megadramon braces himself for what he knows is going to happen probably. All of Other Girl's Ebonwumon's heads began firing an attack directly at her megadramon. Tall Boy's Zhiaoquiomon fires an attack directly at her Megadramon. Fat Boy's Azulongmon fires an attack directly at her Megadramon. Diago's Baihumon fires an attack directly at her Megadramon too. While he appeared to be taking attacks from his 4 so-called friends, he was at the same time being attacked by the 4 Dark Masters at the same time, until all that was seen was a glowing ball of energy, aiming for and meeting each of the Dark Masters attacks, who continued until it met up with the 4 Dark Masters. A humongous explosion, probably when her partner died, assuming he was not already dead in the explosion, which appeared to take out the Dark Masters. The 4 Sovereigns land on the ground, and their square points create a ray of light into the sky. which combine to close off something. I did see Azulongmon, Ebonwumon, and maybe Zhiaquiomon after the fight, so... She may have also blamed the only 4 that she could talk to about this for the death of her partner. After all, no adult would believe her. Poor child, and poor Very heroic Megadramon.
@@tracyfirestone and the fact that (presumably) their leader, Daigo, gave up, (in 0:58) instead of keep fighting like Tai and the others didn't gave up even after being erased. Homeostasis probably like, I need to possessed the one that actually didn't gave up (Maki) and tried to help bring the balance. And Megadramon's probably supposed to evolve as Huanglongmon in the process like how Angemon and Angewomon shoot at Tai and Yamato for Agumon and Gabumon to warp evolution. But in this case, Maki only saw it as 4 of her partner shoot at her in the verge of dying partner as sacrifice, and Maki's lost hope and trust at their friendship failed Megadramon's evolution process. I mean, I can't blame her, after Daigo and the others is giving up, and being the only one who didn't gave up yet saw the other 4 shoot her partner might shook her
I agree completely with you. It is a variant of a Leomon, and did survive. In fact, it may have been sacrificed, instead, if unable to digivolve into Baihumon. Despite, the possibility of Megadramon being able to become the fifth Sovereign: According to this site: wikimon.net/Huanglongmon and wikimon.net/Megadramon Not likely, unless they change it soon. However, I do believe that was exceedingly cruel to do that. It is nothing like when TK's angemon digivolved the first time. The other 6 children's partner's de-digivolved back to rookie, and that power went to Angemon, for his attack against Devimon. (They did not appear to attack him.) When Kari's Angewomon Digivolved, she did the attack "Heaven's Charm", which opened up a holy ring above her. Tai's Metal Greymon aimed an attack directly into that ring. Matt's Weregarururmon aimed an attack directly into that ring. Sora's Garudamon aimed an attack directly into that ring. Izzy's Megakabuterimon aimed an attack directly into that ring. Mimi's Lillymon aimed an attack directly into that ring. Joe's Zudomon aimed an attack directly into that ring. and Finally TK's Angemon (The only Champion) aimed an attack directly into that ring. She then prepared a Celestial arrow at Myotismon, using their power into her holy arrow. In both of these cases, the partners to the remaining children do not appear to attack the one digimon, who is not even at their own level for them to be able to defeat said enemy. Unfortunately not the case in Maki's Megadramon's case, and hers cannot be reborn again, due to how it died.
This reminds me that, this isn't the first time the Harmonious Ones had to sacrifice another kid's digimon partner for the greater good, even though it was in an alternate universe...There was also that girl Alice and her partner Dobermon, who sacrificed himself on their command to give the Digimon Tamers the power to bio-merge in the real world
Honestly TRI started good but went downhill really fast.... BUT DAMN this was really, really good. They expanded the mythos, explained a lot without saying almost anything, and made a lot of connections from the OG series, and only in 4 minutes.
"This is who we are. Fighting, becoming friends, falling in love, learning.... losing friends.... dying.... an falling into hopelessness. This is what we do. Afterall... That's what it means, to be digidestined"
I would love a prequel to season 1 with the original kids, as well as a season 2 version of tri with all 6 kids of season 2, maybe when the older 6 are away at various colleges or universities, while these 6 are preparing for their futures as well.
LILFOC1 Because both Patamon's nega and Tailmon's mega appeared in the movie. Technically not a new evolution (and for once TK and kairi were not the last ones to achieve a stage of evolution)
That doesn't disqualify seraphimon from not being on a poster. Technically this is his first cannon appearance (hurricane touchdown isn't cannon). Plus with the logic they have appeared before disqualifying them being on a poster...that should also apply to Omegamon. Its a simple matter of inclusion...Meicoomon's evolution have been on a poster twice now.
This is what I refer to when I say how good Tri was. The series had its ups and downs, but with this opener you feel the hopelessness she’s feeling and the loss that they endured, and why she was so desperate to get her Digimon back. She was a kid who just lost something she bonded with and was powerless to protect. The aesthetic is great, the only voices are from the one reciting the proverb, which adds to the unsettling nature. She’s literally snaps and is possessed by homeostasis. And it was all temporary cause the dark masters weren’t finished off just delayed till Taichi and the others came years later
In the end the Dark Masters sealed away the 4 holy digimon ( as Azulongsmon said in 02 ). So very tragic that the digimon partners were sacrifices for nothing ... just a little more time but nothing more.
Absolutely loved this scene. The digimon lore is actually very deep and I love how they made the Harmonious ones the original chosen children's digimon. It all makes sense why the dark masters sealed them.
"Light is born of darkness. Darkness sails north to become water. Light sails south to give birth to fire. Wind flows in between light and darkness. Light sinks into darkness and returns to earth." - Homeostasis This is easily one of the most powerful pieces of poetry to come from the series to date.
It means that is easy for ones soul whether it's good or bad or guarded can easily be left broken when pushed to the levels of extreme heartbreak sorrow suffering and loss and can completely change you as a person as you progress through life but whether for the better or for the worse the cycle of life's tribulations keeps going for the next generation even when we reached the end of our existence it all depends on what we choose to do next after
Why does every damn team need goggles?! ARE THEY THE TRUE KEY TO DIGIVOLUTION!? EVERY TIME IT'S THE GOGGLES WEARER WHO GET THE FIRST DIGIVOLUTION! MAYBE GOGGLES ARE THE KEY!
Mister Taz It is just Digimon's running theme. The guy with the goggles is the leader. Same as Leomon or any digon with similar characteristics as Leomon dies in almost every Digimon anime incarnation.
That is very true. I can really understand Maki's desperation due to her Super Trauma. I sure hope Hikari's trauma at the end of movie 5, is short lived, and she gets Gatomon back. I may not believe for a second that Taichi is dead, but I do think that if her partner is destroyed or defeated in the real world, she may turn into a new Maki. I sure hope Wizardmon or his hat can help bring them back to normal.
This opening scene is amazing, got me instantly glued to my screen from the get go holy crap man. The music fit so well and what a throwback, I did not expect the writers to touch up on the original 5 digidestined..which makes me all the more curious about their adventures. Also now I feel sympathy for Maki for losing her partner the way she did =/
She's a tragic character. Maki was a child of light, just like Kari, but her light was twisted and warped by loss and her inability to accept that her friend died a hero. It was her inability to let go that led her down the road she took to darkness. Maki's obsession caused her to selfishly pervert the bonds between not only her and her dead partner, but she selfishly contributed to the reboot that not only stripped her partner of his memories, but condemned her successors to the same fate with their Digimon. Maki's spirit froze in that moment, and since then her judgment has been clouded. The purest light was warped into the murkiest darkness.
Never thought of it that way. How WOULD Kari act if she truly lost Gatomon forever. I know T.K. wouldn't accept it. Just look how darkness began to twist his ability to hope when he was facing off against Ken. The pure mention of Devimon turns T.K. into what we don't think him to be...
Eric Schuller Made all the worse when you realize that her partner's sacrifice DIDNT work since we know from Adventure that the Dark Masters would eventually defeat the Four Harmonious Ones and conquer the Digital World (temporarily) and it would be the current Digidestined that finished off the Dark Masters. Meaning from Maki's point of view her partner died for nothing.
Call me out for this if you feel like it, but I feel she's kind of a blend of Kari and Jeri. Child of light, lost her partner, descent into madness/depression. The signs all point to it in my opinion.
It was really cool to see that Maki and Daigo were part of the original Chosen Children who were only mentioned at the end of the original Adventure and that their partners were actually the Four Holy Beasts and fought against the Dark Masters
well actually mr DragonHunter1 the original digidestined were also mentioned on the legend of the digidestined digimon adventure season one anime episode so lay were mention at least twice
Watching this and knowing what happens to Maki and Daigo makes it even more sorrowful. I honestly loved Daigo (this scene made him even more special to me), and I had a hard and terrible time when I saw his end. In fact, while at first I was hoping to see their story, I don't think I want to anymore, it's just too sad... On another hand, it's somehow that it was basically a Megadramon that defeated the Piedmon, Machinedramon, Metalseadramon and Puppetmon, but when Tai and the others came around, Machinedramon/Mugendramon actually had a Megadramon working for him. The original digidestined hadn't even reached a mega form before the end.
I only clicked on this without context, and i'm going to watch Digimon Tri in a sec. But let me just say that little boy who says he can't anymore and almost immediately gets up a second later is me everyday at school
I just found this movie as a 30 year old. I remember watching the original digimon on fox kids 20 years ago. As soon as I saw Piedmon, I FUCKING SCREAMED AND MY DAD YELLED AT ME
You must realize what Huanglongmon represents - Balance (of light and dark), which is not too much different from Lucemon, as both can be good or evil. I believe as the embodiment of light, maki and subsequently megadramon, were used as the vessel in which homeostasis used to achieve balance. Homeostasis could have stopped the Dark Masters when they were still fresh, but only acted to call in the DigiDestined when the darkness threatened to dissolve whatever light there is. On a side note, look at who Homeostasis goes after: Maki and Hikari, both who are supposed to be embodiments of light, but have already had their own brushes with darkness: Maki with her cracked Digivice and subsequent working relationship with Dark Gennai, and Hikari's relation to the Dark Ocean. Perhaps that is why Ophanimon Falldown Mode is one of the key plot points in the upcoming movie.
Wind flow between light and darkness - probably referring to Megadramon Light sinks into darkness and returns to earth - probably referring to Maki, and Megadramon turning into Huanglongmon.
The whole concept of balance is kind of the basis for Digimon Adventures, subsequently, 02 and Tri. This is evident in the original projected ending (Angemon v Devimon), with Angemon defeated Devimon, but burning up itself in the process. Light cannot exist without darkness, and vice versa. Even when HolyAngemon fought against Piemon, the former only sealed the latter away instead of defeating it. This is similar to how the Dark Masters, and Ken as Digimon Kaiser, could only seal away the Harmonious Ones but not defeat them.
I hope he became Apocalymon. It would hold true to what the original big bad said during the final fight in Adventure 1: he was created from all of the data of Digimon who failed to digivolve and died off. However, this would be inconsistent with how Apocalymon was the one who created the Dark Masters. Apocalymon will always hold a special place in my heart as the first anime villain to frighten me. Also because he was a force of nature; a natural result of the Digital World's very evolution, making him an inevitable part of its existence.
Well, I believe there could be two possibilities. The first higher possibility theory is that they never got deleted because they did not die in the human world. I don't know why Megadramon gets deleted, maybe because of the Sovereigns power/homeostasis. Idk about that. When they got killed by Megadramon's kamikaze attack, they are reborn into digimon eggs again. There was one time where a 100 years has passed by when the chosen ones return to their world in season 1. Perhaps thats where they regain the reign. Another theory is that they survived the attack but its unlikely because Megadramon would have just destroyed them instantly. The ones in the season 1 are probably the same as this one.
megadramon's egg is what gets deleted, when Maki in the library Diago mentions that digieggs cannot; be reborn therefore the implication would be that megadramon became an egg before finishing off the attack and didn't have enough to go anywhere unlike TK's angemon
tai/matt,dagio,Davis courage and friendship sora/Mimi,bird original, yolie love and sincerely Izzy/Joe,turtle original,Cody knowledge and reliability tk/kari,dragon original hope and light Ken/mekio,maki, kindness and darkness I think that's right????
"I am the one who desires stability. All of your are the last remaining hope....Light is born of darkness"Sounds like a prophecy where Takeru and Hikari are going to come full circle in Movie 5. Can't wait!
Kari's crest is Light and ever since the original Digimon, Kari is very sensitive to the forces of Light and Darkness in the digiworld. This is just a theory.Plus...the 5th poster was an ominous foreshadowing, esp kari...
Just a theory (and wishful thinking): If Kari's crest of Light is corrupted by darkness, Hope is the last saving grace to push Light from turning into darkness... Maybe there might be a showdown between FM Ophanimon and Seraphimon in the 5th movie... Fingers crossed..
DAMMIT MEI EVERY TIME YOU HAVE A JOB YOU FUCK IT UP >Don't get captured >Don't piss off your cat >Stop crying >Show up to a digital world for an adventure >Keep your eyes on the cat >Stop crying >Show up to a digital world for an adventure
Well, the cat was the one who was throwing tantrum and escaped from her. She actually did not cry in this movie, and faced Meicoomon instead of running away.
Wow, all this set-up...and then you realize that these same Dark Masters got curbstomped by a relatively new WarGreymon! [okay okay Puppetmon by an even less battle-hardened MetalGarurumon, but still]
MetalGarururmon was more battle-hardened. He had been fighting and traveling alone with matt. to the point that he could stay in Mega form. where WarGraymon reverts back to his rookie form after a battle. Not to mention One shotting Puppetmon, who had been stomping everyone he had come across.
I want that Daigo Nishijima meets his Digimon Baihumon. Also that the three other original digidestined will be shown. It was so sad that himekawa lost her digimon. I want that Tapirmon and also of course agumon and the others get their memorys back. It all has to happen, but only one movie remains 😂
Megadramon wasn't that disgusting was it? haha I mean, it, along with gigadramon, only destroyed the City where Machinedramon was controlling. But it never actually played a huge role otherwise in terms of being a villain.
I remember back when seasons 1 and 2 were on TV and they mentioned the original digidestined VERY briefly with the silhouette of 3 children. I forgot which season it was in but it only lasted for about 2 seconds and never mentioned again. I always remembered it and wondered all those years ago what that was about. It gave me hope that once season 2 ended they would start a new season with the 3 original digidestined and tell there story in a prequel series. I think this digimon tri movie thing is not only to tell their story but hopefully start the next series involving them. Maybe they were fighting the dark masters but weren't strong enough and sacrificed themselves to only seal the dark masters away temporarily. In the first arc of season 1 Leomon told the story of how the 7 kids were chosen and Devimon was just a "test" to see if they could handle a greater task. Perhaps after the digiworld saw that the ORIGINAL group of 3 were not strong enough to beat the dark masters it chose 8 new kids once the digi world realized the dark masters would soon break from the seal and used Devimon, Etemon, and Myotismon as a test to strengthen the kids for the dark masters and for Apocalymon.
This scene added so much dynamic and opened up so many possibilities that would'vemade Tri incredible. Too bad that the rest of the series was written by people who eat glue.
Something about the combination silent film effect and the only sounds are the emotional music and the narrator give this a much more emotional depth. It's similar to the ending of Terminator 2 when the T-800 states that it thinks it understand why humans cry. Then, it proceeds to allow Sarah to destroy it by slowly dropping in into the molten metal with only the sounds of metal burning and Brad Fiedel's score being heard. Anyone know the name of the music playing in this clip?
Having grown up watching the first three seasons when I was younger this is insane finally getting to see events that were only ever talked about throughout the first two series. The moment the Dark Masters came onscreen I was thinking "...oh shit...are they actually doing this?...."
the music at the end of confession 04 was put of this world. it just suit the battle scenes. even the silence in the events leading to the reboot just did wonders. now here comes the flash back and this just continues to be perfect. the writers really have a unique way of appealing to the sense and I must say, they couldn't have done a better job.
@@skip031890 A Digimon character first introduced in Digimon: Data Squad. He is the literal king of the Digital world and generally notorious for wanting to exterminate mankind, though the first instance of this was rather somewhat understandable considering the human in question was also a genocidal maniac and did extensive damage to the Digital World.
"Why were only four chosen?" and "All things are created from a true trait, and that trait is shared. Each trait equally influences each other at it changes to its next form. However, what happens to those who could not receive any influence?" Exactly, what are those supposed to mean? I've got 4 different ideas for that meaning. XP
what if those traits are the crests and the traits the humans have on their digimon and each other? Like when the season one cast re-materializes they learn that they not only are the sole source of courage, friendship, love, hope light etc, but everyone else's courage, friendship, love, hope, light and etc. i.e. the friendship that Matt felt wasn't just the friendship he felt for TK, Sora, or Tie; it was also the friendship that Joe had for Mimi and the TK had for Kair and Tie for Joe. I guess Maki could not feel everyone else's hopes, friendship, etc and vice versa, therefore that prevented her digimon from reaching the next stage.
they evolve and grow, is my understanding. She never gave up on finding her digimon but she also never accepted what happened, I'm assuming were getting some vibes from season 3 digimon.
Oh, thank you for taking the time to want to read this :) Well, I have four theories on why. 1. First I assumed, like Mieko, that Himekawa did not have a crest and can't go to the mega/perfect level. I see this theory is highly unlikely now, since That's Taipirmon's Ultimate level. 2. This one is more probable, but Himekawa maybe does have a crest, but at that crucial moment, she was unable to activate it due to the fact her digimon was going to be sacrificed. "However, what happens to those who could not receive any influence?" I can only hypothesis that maybe Himekawa was the least popular of the group, since the trait did not get shared? idk. Also it seems that in this preview she seemed to be pressured to evolve to mega, but couldn't at that time. the line "Cmon, just one more" kinda shows. 3. Possibly the reason why she wasn't chosen, was because maybe the darkness in her heart was forwarned? I dunno how to say this... but through the 4 movies to far, Himekawa comes across as a cold and very selfish person. We never knew and possibly never will find out what kind of person she was in her childhood before Tapirmon was sacrificed. 4. Homeostasis possibly nullified her, and the same thing may happen to Kari as shown in the movie 4 poster.
well actually mr Wind Storm the original digidestined were mention on the digimon adventure season one the legend of the digidestined anime episode so Lay were at least mention twice
This, explains a lot. Honestly, one of the biggest criticisms of Adventure 2 was that, rather than picking up any of the left over Adventure 1, it only introduced new things, with a few cameos; it's nice to finally see the 1st(?) digidestined, even if it doesn't involve Matt and TK's dad and sinks the Frontier theories.
Light is born into darkness... Darkness sails north to become water... Light sails south to give birth to fire... Wind flows in between light and darkness... Light sinks into darkness and returns to earth.
That is true. Although their digivices look different, and even in Season 1, the temple in Centaurumon's episode was of the standard Grey Digivice, until something boots it up, which causes a new color or identifier about it. I would love to know what these 5 kids had to boot up their digivices.
Original digidestined: yay our digimon are Megas now! Zhuqiaomon: humans! All humans must die! Get them devas! Original digidestined: where did you get those twelve digimon from? Azulongmon: I’d leave now. Ebonwumon in his Irish/Scottish voice: And make sure that you never reveal our origins....or we’ll have to kill you. Baihumon: Wait...are we getting sealed away? Damnit!
OK so we learn in 02 that the each of the sovereigns is a keeper for 2 of the crests (Azulongmon keeps Light and Hope) So each of the original digidestined correspond to 2 of the modern digidestined except Maki. who does Maki correspond to? Meiko. they both have the weird symbol on their digivice.
each of the sovereigns is a keeper for 2 of the crests + Maki's -> 9 crests from the beginning, but only shown 8 in ss1. In ss2, we learnt 9th crest is Kindness -> it could be possible that crest was belong to her & Ken is the new master I really want to see other three too. And in Part 6, all of them will fight togther: (Original, Ad1 & Ad2, Meiko)
That's a very good theory LE Anh Tuan.. Maki and Ken shares the same crest. Maki is the original one and Ken is the second owner of that crest. that makes Meiko to be the official the 10th chosen children on new generation also the original owner of the crest of darkness. By the way, it seems that Meicoomon is not purely digimon. Hackmon said it in Loss. But, I'm not so sure about that tho. since Meiko has a digivice. Meicoomon probably like Calumon/Kurumon from Digimon Tamers. In which, all digidestined 03 thought that Calumon is a digimon.
Let me guess , The four Digidestined awaken their crest and evolve their Digimon to their Mega from. But Maki failed to awake her Trait/Crest So Tapirmon could not evolve and it had to sacrifice itself to defeat the Dark Master.
ishaq yousuf Technically, you have to activate your crest to digivolve to ultimate, but activate it's full potential for mega. She had already awakened her crest, because her partner was in Ultimate form. She just hadn't awakened her crest's full potential.
Both of you wrong... It's not about crest to open up to Mega...it's about the chosen one. Only 4 were chosen to be able to defeat the Dark Master and have control of the sovereign Digimon. Maki isn't the chosen one so Megadramon can't be part of the sovereign
but remember that Gennai and the others like him had already existed within the digital world as some sort of monks or whatever. they're designed just like the digimon which would explain the powers and abilities that he has and his purpose was to ensure that the next generation of digidestined were chosen and prepared for the coming battle
What a tragedy...it hurt me even more when i realized they were facing the dark masters while only at ultimate (perfect) level. They really had no chance at all.
After I saw this movie, it made me hope that they acutally address the original Digidestined at some point and tell their story, even if its a movie and it fits what been shown in this clip because there is a lot of unanswered questions, like how were they chosen, how did they meet their partners for the first time and what kind of adventures did they have?
Still would like to see an anime series of this and I think it is mentioned they battled apocalymon too so wouldn't mind seeing that either, not sure how the original digidestined were mention in the Season 1 anime only remember a couple of times of it.
It's weird to think that Megadramon digivolves into Machinedramon, so if he *had* digivolved in this scene, there would've just been two Machinedramons.
Or possibly Huanglongmon. I heard a theory that somewhere along the journey, Tapirmon’s destiny was corrupted because he became megadramon. As a result, he wasn’t able to become Huanglongmon
Liquid1462 ya that's a bit odd isn't it, the 4 chosen needed to combine and sacrifice to defeat the dark master while later the dark masters were beaten by atleast 1 digimon later... the only had 2 megas... maybe because they were weakened alot from their fight against the original digidestinds
I think that's because the 4 are needed for balance but are not necessarily strong in combat (like a medic from final fantasy who you train to fight but isn't really good at fighting till the second play through). I think that since those 2 megas are components of Omnimon they were literally made to be fighters (knights)
That's what was supposed to happen 🥺😭 unfortunately, Megadramon can't digivolve into Huanglongmon bc Megadramon is a virus type. Tapirmon was supposed to become Tyilinmon instead. Tapirmon was supposed to be "the chosen one who holds great power" that was supposed to reveal himself, only it never hapened. The "shared trait" was supposed to be light & goodness (Maki was like the Kari of this group). Seeing how Maki was an innocent child and Megadramon was a virus type digimon, that trait was never shared. Think of it like Gatomon becoming Ladydevimon instead of Angewomon, it just wouldn't have worked with Kari's crest. Digivolving to Ophanimon or Holydramon would have been impossible after that.
This event most likely happened in 1995, which is shortly before Parrotmon's arrival in Tokyo. I would've adjusted the year earlier, given adult Maki's age, but the home computer technology before '95 would make less sense for kids to get sucked up. PCs never really took off in Japan until the mid-90s.
well actually mr Kelam Brown azulongmon from digimon adventure is A completely different azulongmon from digimon tamers and i read that the digital world from Digimon frontier existed before computer existed on the earth on the Digimon frontier anime universe and each Digimon series are all set in A separate universe from each other and Ryo some how travel from the adventure universe to the Digimon tamers universe i use to make the stupid mistake of thinking that all digimon series anime were all of the same earth of Digimon adventure but i was correct on that stupid dumb mistake
Yes yes, the original Digi-destined empowering the Four Gods at File Island and what should have been Huanlongmon but nope - not enough juice... And here all I could think was "Dark Ocean Dark Ocean Dark Ocean Dark Ocean Dark Ocean Dark Ocean Dark Ocean Dark Ocean Dark Ocean AAAAAAAAAGH!!!!"
gauwed Although that will be great, wouldn't it be sad to see the last episode? Which is the flashback, but properly done without the whole upset music thing? That will totally break my heart
What i wanna know is, how far did that reset put them? Because rather A. she just picked a random tapirmon who happened to be in the right place at the right time she'd thought itd be. Or B. it did lose its memories and the Digiworld no longer has its 4 guardians.
Probably A since the Dark Masters are once more and the Chosen's partners returned at baby stage. Had it been further in the past, they wouldn't even be digieggs.
Guys, there's something worse. If rebooting allows Himekawa's Digimon who couldn't be formatted into an egg, be reborn. Then what about the Evil Digimon? I'm sure they will not be able to reformat either, seeing as how they are, in a way, complete destroyed. If they can come back, wouldn't that be bad? TK will go crazy if he sees Devimon again. Properly this time
I loved this flashback. About that last sentence: "All things are created from a true trait and that trait is shared. Each trait equally influences each other as it changes to its next form. However what happens to those who could not receive any influence?". I think is an allegory about Digimon's Evolution process; before that sentence, 4 of the 5 Original Digidestined Digimon just evolved to Ultimate and became the 4 Sacred Beasts, but Megadramon wasn't chosen by evolution and died in order to seal the Dark Masters. All this stuff reminds me suddenly of a certain being in Digimon Adventure who said that he was created from the hate of all the Digimons that were doomed to death by the evolution process, just like what happened to Megadramon. So what if Himekawa partner became later Apocalymon, the one who came to the Digital World from beyond the Wall of Fire? Im sure he will find redemption and become the 5th Beast (Huanglongmon) in the next OVA, but still is good to think that he was Apocalymon once.
i guess tapirmon unknown ultimate level was sacrificed in A way that tapirmon couldn't be revived as A digiegg and before some one make the mistake of assuming that mistake i am well aware that tapirmon is A rookie level Digimon and i typed up that it make no since for meicromon to need A crest to digivolve past the champion level only for A girl to make the mistake of assuming that the meicromon was A rookie level Digimon when i know that meicromon is A champion level Digimon
I wonder if when they talk about traits they are talking about the crests and if the reason that four of their Digimon's become the Sovereigns is because they had a trait that Maki did not like what if they all had maybe crests like Miracles and Fate but Maki didn't and what if that plays into why Maki's partner didn't digivolve into Fanglongmon
Maki had her own. The flashback: "Each trait equally influences each other as it changes to its next form. What happens to those who could not receive any influence?" That means maki had her own crest, but for some reason, she could not activate it like Daigo & others 3
The Crests didn't exist at this time. The crest power lies within Tai and the others, while the physical crests where created from their data. After Apocalymon destroyed them, Ken and Ryo gathered the fragments and they where reconfigured into the Digi eggs. After the defeat of Diaboromon, Tai and the others gave up their crest power to free the Harmonious Ones. But nothing in any Adveture media seems to indicate that anyone but Tai's team and Ken have crest power.
The crests did not exist at that time, but it is highly unlikely that when Homeostasis chose these 5 children, that they did not provide them some kind of crest or trait, which would allow their partner to digivolve into Ultimate, if not Mega. Whatever they were given was already triggered, since all 5 of the children had an Ultimate Partner before this seen began. After they appeared to lose, Homeostasis chose to possess Maki, and to sacrifice Maki's Megadramin, and at the same time digs love the other 4 Digimon into Megan's, which are the 4 sovereigns, which is why she relocated the other 4 chosen children & their partners into 4 corners of a square, making certain to keep Maki's partner out of her range of influence, since it was chosen to be the sacrifice, by Homeostasis herself. ,
Also, i get some serious Survive vibes from this less-than-five-minute scene. I know Survive came afterwards, and had a prequel story similar to this, and this is showing death, sadness, and unnerving vibes; I just can't help but think of Survive when I watch this scene.
Her partner should've evolved into a Huanlongmon, sadly neither the cosmology or the numerology could finagle it. Huanlongmon is a fusion by definition, defined by the _absence_ of the Four. And four became gods to defeat four demons.

2019: 25 year old me traumatized by piedmon

@@jakman8515 lmao ikr
There's more to it, piedmon actually has strange desire (love) to one of the digidestined... So much for children show
Trump Sword!
And people say they copied pokemon?? Please, pokemon is so basic.
Not true how did mat dad know the digimon name
@@imakeepitreal2214 Digimon came out BEFORE pokemon..
It's just that Pokemon made it to America before Digimon did that has everyone confused
well actually Eric Schuller azulongmon from digimon tamers is A different azulongmon from digimon adventure especially since it make no since for the others three Digimon sovereign to be suddenly set free when lay were still locked up even come the end of Digimon adventure season two matter of fact if you check either the Digimon wiki or the wikimon will confirm that Ryo travel from the adventure universe to the Digimon tamers universe
I'm surprised the creators remembered there were original digidestined, because they were only briefly mentioned in the first series and it's been almost 20 years since it came out...when I saw this scene and understood who they were, I almost freaked out, cause I never thought I'd actually live to see this story come full circle, and the fact that the Harmonious Ones were their partners made it even better...I'm very curious to see where they go from here
I would never had guessed they would re introduce that concept again after such a long time. I'm glad the writers remembered that and used it here.
That's a good theory...I used to think that only made Gennai look old, but now that you mention it, there could be some relation
Yeah!"
It was the Dark Masters and they about to be killed . They didn't HAVE any other options
@@ghedebaronsamedi maybe they sealed apocalymon instead of just the dark masters
@@ghedebaronsamedi Isn't the difference that Tai's gang had the Crests that the original DigiDestined didn't have? Not to mention in this case it was the Dark Masters all at once vs the OGDestined, where as with Tai's gang they fought and defeated each Dark Master separately.
It's funny, most of the time Megadramons are usually shown as these ruthless underlings for the villain, mindless henchmen with stupid strength, but here we see one that not only protects but even sacrifices itself for the greater good, always loved their design and sad to see how this one had to go.
i think we need digimon original prequel series.

Sure is
Lets all mourn the loss of the opportunity to use the word prodigious.
At the time I did wonder that, as it was a hanging plot thread from the last episode of season one, but there was never any info.
Shoutout Qinglongmon
Tall Boys Hippogryffmon into Zhiaquiomon probably.
and
Diago's Loader Liomon into Baihumon probably.
I agree. Maki is probably the best new character, followed by Daigo.
It is nice that that plot thread that was introduced in the last episode if season one has finally been developed.
I mean, I can't blame her, after Daigo and the others is giving up, and being the only one who didn't gave up yet saw the other 4 shoot her partner might shook her
are we all going to ignore the fact Daigo's digimon was a type of Leomon...and Survived?
it's called LoaderLiomon not Leomon
I mean a variant.
I agree completely with you. It is a variant of a Leomon, and did survive. In fact, it may have been sacrificed, instead, if unable to digivolve into Baihumon.
Despite, the possibility of Megadramon being able to become the fifth Sovereign:
According to this site:
wikimon.net/Huanglongmon
and
wikimon.net/Megadramon
Not likely, unless they change it soon.
However, I do believe that was exceedingly cruel to do that.
It is nothing like when TK's angemon digivolved the first time.
The other 6 children's partner's de-digivolved back to rookie, and that power went to Angemon, for his attack against Devimon.
(They did not appear to attack him.)
When Kari's Angewomon Digivolved, she did the attack "Heaven's Charm", which opened up a holy ring above her.
Joe's Zudomon aimed an attack directly into that ring.
and Finally
TK's Angemon (The only Champion) aimed an attack directly into that ring.
But in the reboot he got killed lmao
Leoman never lives. They always got to kill thier leomon.
This reminds me that, this isn't the first time the Harmonious Ones had to sacrifice another kid's digimon partner for the greater good, even though it was in an alternate universe...There was also that girl Alice and her partner Dobermon, who sacrificed himself on their command to give the Digimon Tamers the power to bio-merge in the real world
oh yeah they did do that
Alice wasn't a Tamer though, and Dobermon wasn't her partner, they where just messengers
GeneralEmperor alice was a ghost and doberman was created as a vessel for their power
alice is a ghost? I didn't know that... do you have a proof?
GeneralEmperor that was heroic of that big doge
Honestly TRI started good but went downhill really fast.... BUT DAMN this was really, really good. They expanded the mythos, explained a lot without saying almost anything, and made a lot of connections from the OG series, and only in 4 minutes.
Love this scene.
The music really reflects the anger and sorrow of Maki who lost her beloved partner.
Vinsen Narendra Absolutely right in the feels!

It wouldn't hurt to have a Digimon Adventure Prequel with only 12 episodes right?
I would rather want a sequel with the 02 kids than that honestly
C-MC Official They suck, 01 characters are better.
I would love a prequel to season 1 with the original kids, as well as a season 2 version of tri with all 6 kids of season 2, maybe when the older 6 are away at various colleges or universities, while these 6 are preparing for their futures as well.

this part of loss was a masterpiece. so well done.
if only the they applied this effort to the rest of the movie
I was referring to just loss. Everything in confession was awesome specially the fight. I actually really love tri
They should have saved it for a later movie...everyone gets a dramatic evolution why not patamon? Also his evolution has always been significant
Light sinks into darkness and returns to earth." - Homeostasis
This is easily one of the most powerful pieces of poetry to come from the series to date.
But what does it *mean?*
It means that is easy for ones soul whether it's good or bad or guarded can easily be left broken when pushed to the levels of extreme heartbreak sorrow suffering and loss and can completely change you as a person as you progress through life but whether for the better or for the worse the cycle of life's tribulations keeps going for the next generation even when we reached the end of our existence it all depends on what we choose to do next after
@@Serratolegends excellent interpretation.

Mister Taz It is just Digimon's running theme. The guy with the goggles is the leader. Same as Leomon or any digon with similar characteristics as Leomon dies in almost every Digimon anime incarnation.

Takeru - Trauma, Ken - Trauma, Maki - Super Trauma

Made all the worse when you realize that her partner's sacrifice DIDNT work since we know from Adventure that the Dark Masters would eventually defeat the Four Harmonious Ones and conquer the Digital World (temporarily) and it would be the current Digidestined that finished off the Dark Masters. Meaning from Maki's point of view her partner died for nothing.
Call me out for this if you feel like it, but I feel she's kind of a blend of Kari and Jeri. Child of light, lost her partner, descent into madness/depression. The signs all point to it in my opinion.
It was really cool to see that Maki and Daigo were part of the original Chosen Children who were only mentioned at the end of the original Adventure and that their partners were actually the Four Holy Beasts and fought against the Dark Masters
the four holy beasts defeating the dark masters was in a digimon adventure novel
well actually mr DragonHunter1 the original digidestined were also mentioned on the legend of the digidestined digimon adventure season one anime episode so lay were mention at least twice
As soon as I saw Piedmon, I FUCKING SCREAMED AND MY DAD YELLED AT ME
People need to understand that there is a 5th member of the Harmonious Ones, being Huanglongmon of the centre.
+Kardarius Randle Yup, Huanlongmon is the gold dragon you just said
yeah thats why i don't understand why megadramon died instead of evolve into huanglongmon if he got the power of the four beast...
Wind flow between light and darkness - probably referring to Megadramon
Light sinks into darkness and returns to earth - probably referring to Maki, and Megadramon turning into Huanglongmon.
Megadramon became... APOCALYMON! GIVE HIM HIS PIZZA!
he should have digivolve into huanglongmon instead of dying, he got the power of the four beast so
his evolution line probably got reseted in the movie and will become the last souverain
Nah, just gonna give him the crust if that's chill with him.
XROSS - GAMES yes, i also thought that he will digivolve into huanglongmon or goddramon, hmm, i hope they give the explanation on the next episode
Also because he was a force of nature; a natural result of the Digital World's very evolution, making him an inevitable part of its existence.
when the combined attack flew towards the dark masters and they didn't move I couldn't help but hear piccolo scream DODGE!!!
When Megadramon is your favourite digimon.
feelsbadman :(
He died a true hero.
Hoped to see Megadramon in the next part. Would be a thrill.
should the dark masters be deleted for ever too? unless the ones that are back now are the originals? that we know from season 1
FarShift19 I think Gennai brought them back, I don't think it was ever them not actually being destroyed
megadramon's egg is what gets deleted, when Maki in the library Diago mentions that digieggs cannot; be reborn therefore the implication would be that megadramon became an egg before finishing off the attack and didn't have enough to go anywhere unlike TK's angemon
Those two digimon were NOT the original Dark Masters!

What does it has anything to do with Tk and Kari ?
It talk about Light and Darkness while TK's crest is Hope.
Kari's crest is Light and ever since the original Digimon, Kari is very sensitive to the forces of Light and Darkness in the digiworld. This is just a theory.Plus...the 5th poster was an ominous foreshadowing, esp kari...
+ishaq yousuf
In the poster of the 5th movie, Kari's digimon is in her dark/evil form.
Just a theory (and wishful thinking): If Kari's crest of Light is corrupted by darkness, Hope is the last saving grace to push Light from turning into darkness... Maybe there might be a showdown between FM Ophanimon and Seraphimon in the 5th movie... Fingers crossed..
You do know that Meiko is also going though the same thing.
We are probably going to see a fight between Ophanimon FM and Meicrakmon mega.

>Show up to a digital world for an adventure
Well, the cat was the one who was throwing tantrum and escaped from her. She actually did not cry in this movie, and faced Meicoomon instead of running away.
Wow, all this set-up...and then you realize that these same Dark Masters got curbstomped by a relatively new WarGreymon! [okay okay Puppetmon by an even less battle-hardened MetalGarurumon, but still]
well you had to check the background, the darkness or the dark ocean was taking over the world, Digimon was stronger or having stronger influence.
Plus Wargreymon had the Dramon Killers which is the only reason he really won against Machinedramon.
MetalGarururmon was more battle-hardened. He had been fighting and traveling alone with matt. to the point that he could stay in Mega form. where WarGraymon reverts back to his rookie form after a battle.
Not to mention One shotting Puppetmon, who had been stomping everyone he had come across.
well actually acrazyutuber13 Tai groups of digidestine did have trouble with the dark masters for A little while
@@MegaZack61 and the same can be said about metalseadramon
2:24 That music..... The feels
This is straight brutal, sometimes i forgot how dark Digimon lore.
Megadramon was like a fucking MESSIAH on this :v
From a considered "disgusting" villain in adventure, to a messianic hero from the past XD
ShinZankuro
Damn...!
Megadramon wasn't that disgusting was it? haha I mean, it, along with gigadramon, only destroyed the City where Machinedramon was controlling. But it never actually played a huge role otherwise in terms of being a villain.
Yeah, that species never did play much of a role.
I guess it was more or less to show that some digimon can look alike and still be separate mons.
Myotismon fits the disgusting bill better more than Adventure Megadramon.
Perhaps after the digiworld saw that the ORIGINAL group of 3 were not strong enough to beat the dark masters it chose 8 new kids once the digi world realized the dark masters would soon break from the seal and used Devimon, Etemon, and Myotismon as a test to strengthen the kids for the dark masters and for Apocalymon.
mr Drew R that silhouette was A stupid mistake because it was five of the season one digidestined not three of there
Ah, Piedmon. A real blast to the past.
finally my favorite megadramon isn't portrayed as bad digimon for once.
The Dark masters: yes we are just gonna stand and watch as the supercharged energy attack strike us!!!!!
Run and die tired.
It's cinematic, this isn't a fight scene, this is a verdict.
I really want them to expand on this. It doesn't have to be in animation form. Whether in manga or light novel form will do.
This scene added so much dynamic and opened up so many possibilities that would'vemade Tri incredible. Too bad that the rest of the series was written by people who eat glue.
Makis story breaks my heart. :(
About time they elaborate on The Original Digidestined
beautiful opening
Something about the combination silent film effect and the only sounds are the emotional music and the narrator give this a much more emotional depth. It's similar to the ending of Terminator 2 when the T-800 states that it thinks it understand why humans cry. Then, it proceeds to allow Sarah to destroy it by slowly dropping in into the molten metal with only the sounds of metal burning and Brad Fiedel's score being heard. Anyone know the name of the music playing in this clip?
Holy beasts
Having grown up watching the first three seasons when I was younger this is insane finally getting to see events that were only ever talked about throughout the first two series. The moment the Dark Masters came onscreen I was thinking "...oh shit...are they actually doing this?...."
I never saw megadramon genuinely show affection. Tears...
the music at the end of confession 04 was put of this world. it just suit the battle scenes. even the silence in the events leading to the reboot just did wonders.
now here comes the flash back and this just continues to be perfect. the writers really have a unique way of appealing to the sense and I must say, they couldn't have done a better job.
King Drasil sunk to a new low I never thought possible by exploiting this woman's grief.
Who is King Drasil?
@@skip031890 A Digimon character first introduced in Digimon: Data Squad. He is the literal king of the Digital world and generally notorious for wanting to exterminate mankind, though the first instance of this was rather somewhat understandable considering the human in question was also a genocidal maniac and did extensive damage to the Digital World.
"Why were only four chosen?"
and
"All things are created from a true trait, and that trait is shared. Each trait equally influences each other at it changes to its next form. However, what happens to those who could not receive any influence?"
Exactly, what are those supposed to mean? I've got 4 different ideas for that meaning. XP
What are the ideas?
what if those traits are the crests and the traits the humans have on their digimon and each other?
Oh, thank you for taking the time to want to read this :)
Well, I have four theories on why.
"However, what happens to those who could not receive any influence?"
I can only hypothesis that maybe Himekawa was the least popular of the group, since the trait did not get shared?
These are very good theories
Digimon Prequel.
This was the probably the best scene in the movie because it references something from the end of the original series the original digidestined.
well actually mr Wind Storm the original digidestined were mention on the digimon adventure season one the legend of the digidestined anime episode so Lay were at least mention twice
Daigo was a gogglehead.
-Homeostasis- long way beffore you born
Draco wolf
You know, that sounds a bit like Digimon Frontier
That is true. Although their digivices look different, and even in Season 1, the temple in Centaurumon's episode was of the standard Grey Digivice, until something boots it up, which causes a new color or identifier about it.
I would love to know what these 5 kids had to boot up their digivices.
This song, I just can't get enough of it.
Same I've tried so hard to find it
Giovanni Amella digimon tri ost will probably be released before or after the last movie
In ss2, we learnt 9th crest is Kindness -> it could be possible that crest was belong to her & Ken is the new master
I really want to see other three too.
Hb Willis with the fate crest.
Not a Crest, the Golden Digi-eggs don't have corresponding crests officially. After all, Fate and Miracles aren't personal traits.
DuctTapeGamer so is meiko the original Ken lol
Maki isn't the chosen one so Megadramon can't be part of the sovereign
if you watch the whole movie...you'll know
Maki have the crest of Light by the way
Rafithesky X what? how you know?
I hope they will introduce the other 3 original digidestined too.
gfgfgf40 there were only 5 original digidestined =_=
Rafithesky X yeah.. but we didn't see them properly. the other three remain anonymous. so it will be great if we know them. thats what gfgfgf40 means.
Zeke Am maybe a friend in America, koshiro mentioned them in "Reunion", who Koshiro is working for him/her, actually was one of them.
This was only supposed to be five. Like the flashback they showed us back in adventure 01.
but remember that Gennai and the others like him had already existed within the digital world as some sort of monks or whatever. they're designed just like the digimon which would explain the powers and abilities that he has and his purpose was to ensure that the next generation of digidestined were chosen and prepared for the coming battle
They fought off the dark masters 🎵but they came back🎵
I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself
Shining Assault is A flack back that happen pre Digimon adventure season one
I really love how sad it's background music
1:06 Piedmon immediately asserts dominance.
I would expect nothing less
What a tragedy...it hurt me even more when i realized they were facing the dark masters while only at ultimate (perfect) level. They really had no chance at all.
This sequence gave me “Devilman: The Birth” opening scene vibes
After I saw this movie, it made me hope that they acutally address the original Digidestined at some point and tell their story, even if its a movie and it fits what been shown in this clip because there is a lot of unanswered questions, like how were they chosen, how did they meet their partners for the first time and what kind of adventures did they have?
Still would like to see an anime series of this and I think it is mentioned they battled apocalymon too so wouldn't mind seeing that either, not sure how the original digidestined were mention in the Season 1 anime only remember a couple of times of it.
Tri actually had the best and dark story I don't know why some people keep complaining
people keep complaining cause there are a lot of plot holes and inconsistencies in tri like the disappearance of the 02 kids
C-MC Official There's a chance that they are coming back in movie 5 due to the re run of the 02 movies in Japan
yeah I heard bout that... let's hope
Mary-sue Meiko/Meicoomon much?
Cause other then this scene, the 4th movie sucked ass
It's weird to think that Megadramon digivolves into Machinedramon, so if he *had* digivolved in this scene, there would've just been two Machinedramons.
Or possibly Huanglongmon.
I heard a theory that somewhere along the journey, Tapirmon’s destiny was corrupted because he became megadramon. As a result, he wasn’t able to become Huanglongmon
@@Thewavedemonjackal Do you know where I can find this theory?
@@Vigriff not sure. It’s been a while. I think I saw it in a comment
this music is really good
I hope they acknowledge the 02 digidestined because other than ep 1 it seems like they never existed other than ken
They won't.
qwertyuiopz123 They did, though in a bad and unsatisfying way.
Henry Stanley They did, though in a bad and unsatisfying way.
quertyuiopz123 Davis and the others were defeated and frozen in chamber pods i watch bit and pieces of digimon adventure tri on you tube
Imagine if they did a mini series on these 5. If done correctly it would see a positive reception.
If there's a sequel to kizuna someday, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that this gigadramon became Huanglongmon
Who needs the Digimon Sovereign when you can have Wargreymon slice half of the Dark Masters.
The situation was probably very different in comparison. We don't know all the details four chosen ones back then and their strengths and weaknesses.
I think that's because the 4 are needed for balance but are not necessarily strong in combat (like a medic from final fantasy who you train to fight but isn't really good at fighting till the second play through). I think that since those 2 megas are components of Omnimon they were literally made to be fighters (knights)
Plus we must factor in that the Dark Masters back then all attacked as a group and the Digidestined of the era had yet to reach Mega at all
To be fair, Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon fought 1x1 fight against each of them.
And the Original Five fough agains the 4 all at once.
Who else thought that Megadramon was gonna Digivolve into Huanglonmon when the Sovereigns unleashed their power into him?
The Digimon Sovergns! As seen in Tamers.
And I feel that the 5th (airdramon) would become Fanglongmon!
Airdramon? You mean Megadramon?
Kelam Brown you mean Megadramon
well actually mr Kelam Brown azulongmon from digimon adventure is A completely different azulongmon from digimon tamers and i read that the digital world from Digimon frontier existed before computer existed on the earth on the Digimon frontier anime universe and each Digimon series are all set in A separate universe from each other and Ryo some how travel from the adventure universe to the Digimon tamers universe i use to make the stupid mistake of thinking that all digimon series anime were all of the same earth of Digimon adventure but i was correct on that stupid dumb mistake
so much want for a original digidestined series or pre digidestined even though it ends in heartbreak it would be beautiful
Okay so I need this to have its own series or mini series!!! We need original Digidestined stories to be brought to live. Bring them justice!
gauwed Although that will be great, wouldn't it be sad to see the last episode? Which is the flashback, but properly done without the whole upset music thing? That will totally break my heart
Star Yat No, keep the music but add dialogue
@@staryat1499 it be sad af
I would like to have a prequel serie, where the first knights have to fight against Apokalymon (sorry for my bad English)
its awesome to finally see who the original digidestined were after all these years
What i wanna know is, how far did that reset put them?
Properly this time
mr Darkone225 the Digimon sovereign we not even shore if Lay became digieggs
@@staryat1499 that's why we got the 2020, they became children again in a new timeline and went back to address this issue of Tri reset
What a sad girl! She couldn't find her trait!
I feel sad for her losing her partner like that. One thing Tri got right was this
i guess tapirmon unknown ultimate level was sacrificed in A way that tapirmon couldn't be revived as A digiegg and before some one make the mistake of assuming that mistake i am well aware that tapirmon is A rookie level Digimon and i typed up that it make no since for meicromon to need A crest to digivolve past the champion level only for A girl to make the mistake of assuming that the meicromon was A rookie level Digimon when i know that meicromon is A champion level Digimon
I love that when they are panning over the fallen digimon that you can see their human partners on the ground next to them
I wonder if when they talk about traits they are talking about the crests and if the reason that four of their Digimon's become the Sovereigns is because they had a trait that Maki did not like what if they all had maybe crests like Miracles and Fate but Maki didn't and what if that plays into why Maki's partner didn't digivolve into Fanglongmon
After they appeared to lose, Homeostasis chose to possess Maki, and to sacrifice Maki's Megadramin, and at the same time digs love the other 4 Digimon into Megan's, which are the 4 sovereigns, which is why she relocated the other 4 chosen children & their partners into 4 corners of a square, making certain to keep Maki's partner out of her range of influence, since it was chosen to be the sacrifice, by Homeostasis herself.
,
tracy firestone pretty sure there are other ways to evolve other than crests
PowerSentai101 fanglongmon is the fusion of the four so nope
Also, i get some serious Survive vibes from this less-than-five-minute scene. I know Survive came afterwards, and had a prequel story similar to this, and this is showing death, sadness, and unnerving vibes; I just can't help but think of Survive when I watch this scene.
R.I.P. Daigo and Maki
I now won't get rid of my beginning of the game Megadramon in Rearise for... Sentimental reasons.
Wow they finally revealed the originals!
"Major spoilers!" - puts the spoilers to the title of the video :D
lol the irony
Yeah, pretty much what I talked about when I mentioned you in my last video :D
So 4 Horsemen proxies vs 4 Guardians proxies, I can dig it
I know it was for the greater good and all but damn did Himekawa get screwed over here.
Her partner should've evolved into a Huanlongmon, sadly neither the cosmology or the numerology could finagle it.
Huanlongmon is a fusion by definition, defined by the _absence_ of the Four.
And four became gods to defeat four demons.
