I’ve never thought it was remotely possible to beat the game with a champion level I went through training several digimon to ultimate level and failing until andromon pulled clutch this run blew my mind
Ultimate level doesn't make much of a difference, what matters in this game is Digimon stats and tech, if you have a rookie level with high stats and a tech that does high damage, you could beat the game with it if it wasn't for Greymon requiring a champion (except for Penguinmon who is the only rookie that can trigger the Greymon battle)

This game is not so demanding with respect to the evolutionary level and you can pass the game with a champion digimon, the attributes and the correct technique matter more. Can you explain if certain randomness causes you to restart the speed run for example if the centaur maze finish doesn't generate in the middle, and other major causes of restarts? Not able to learn spinning shot on first battle with sand yamamon?
Sure, spinning shot and MetalMamemon spawning are the biggest ones, early on some of the fights can be worth resetting to like Kunemon and Drimogemon, the maze usually is fine since you can damage boost through it if you get bad luck
I wonder if you are able to achieve 100% of everything since back in the day I wondered on how to collect all the gold medallions and all the evolution mapping. I only got like 100 fish, all monster skills, completed final boss, all card collection etc; and I can never get to 100% prosperity since I didnt know how to digivolve and wear that monster yellow bear suit; or having the proper monster to go into places and ended up being kicked out from the location.
Ya need to bring a Numemon to the bear suit (he climbs in it) Ya get kicked out of places due to your digimons type, each ''type'' is allowed in certain places :)
Very likely i wont ever attempt an "All Medals" speedrun of this game due to the excessive time wasting/grinding required, however i've done multiple 100 Prosperity Speedruns which you could use as a reference to figure out what you are missing for your 100 Prosperity playthrough, check the Digimon World playlist in the main channel :)

@@lizard5872 not true. Dataminers disproved that long ago. Numemon comes out when the digimon does not meet 3 criteria for any of the possible digivolutions. Stats as a whole are treated as one criteria.
this game has a mechanic where if you have under 1 full bar of happiness, a chance is applied to occur a butterfly, the butterfly is a debuff which increases happiness but causes your Digimon to lose 2% of its overall stats everytime the happiness bar is raised til you reach 1 full bar, however if you have a status bubble of any kind, it stops the butterfly chance from applying, so tiredness is the most consistent status to hold for extended periods
There is the poop meter (VIR?) which resets only when you turn into sukamon. Note that king sukamon can revert the sukamon evolution (IIRC). So the VIR bar takes something like 15 poops.
