Taimur is my favourite. he reads quran, knows who is on the right side of history. I respect Taimur for speaking up about what Ali cant/wont (Palestine)
Sick how this completely unproduced silly kitchen conversation is in my opinion in the top 5% of all podcasts episodes ever made. I'm at minute 17 now and I enjoyed the hell out of the way Ali pitched "Outlive" to Taimur.
Loved the pod. Taimur is really smart and tried to touch on Palestine issue the whole pod, but Ali trying to act naive. Love these easy going pods without fancy stuff and just real chill talk.
Interesting episode! The 100-year-old marathon runner you may have been thinking of is Fauja Singh. What's even more amazing is that he started running when he was 89 years old! His background of overcoming immense grief is incredible. There is an excellent book about his life called Turbaned Tornado, written by Khushwant Singh.
A conversation that went from a topic of a measured outcome (DEXA scan) to a topic that is impossible to measure (what people/topics you as an individual prioritize in your everyday life). Taimaur seems to prioritize a "broader" subject matter (sociological, psychological impact). Ali seems to be more focused (just get the software program to execute - if by chance it impacts humanity, we will cross that bridge if/when it pops up). Just my 2 cents from the US.
I m at minute 37 and I know where Taimur is going with this- there was a book Taimur recommended in the last episode (I got it and read it). The author explained how modern sociology is just bunch of ideas pushed by ideologies to the public. Subsequently, those ideas become reality
Water flosser works well as you can quickly remove the food each time you eat than just when you brush your teeth. I had mild gum bleeding, pre and during my Invisalign, 18 months I had them, and the water flosser sorted it with my twice a day brushing. Had my yearly hygienist the other day and all fine bar build up around my back brace post my invisalign so know the water flossing works if you cannot / won't floss or teepee
Nice comment and I agree with you. When the top comment is about hair… I wonder I am Pakistani and Pakistani culture is more direct. I wonder if most viewers here are Pakistani 😅
Salaam Ali I wish you the best in your health and fitness quest. Use a smart weighing scales to keep track of muscle and fat in between your dexa scans. Also I don’t think a tonne of walking is what you need. Rather do HIIT. Use of Continuous glucose monitor will also help you.
Seems like Taimur is veryyy hesistant to mention Palestine issue to Ali. Btw Ali can have very huge impact to change the view of students and entrepreneurs on this issue, which can have good long term impact.
Far take, but i feel like Ali is on the spectrum. I feel like he has adhd. I see a lot of stimming mechanisms from him. I'm not a Dr. so i could be wrong. But it wouldn't hurt to get a diagnosis..
I didn’t know taimur used it but I remember Ali saying he used it before. Peter Attia mentioned it in diary of ceo podcast about it. You can end up with permanent sexual side effects. Doesn’t sound like a good idea for men who still plan to have kids.
Ali tries so hard to be "productive" and does all the stuff to be healthy but one thing he is definitely missing is his autonomous nervous system and hrv imo. He is stressed the whole time. Looking at this podcast, his hrv must be less than 40. His brother is much more relaxed and in coherence with his breath. If you're reading this Ali, I would recommend you to look into hrv, sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous system and coherence breathing (especially 5.5 second inhale and exhales) If you continue going like this, a heart attack or early death is not far fetched imo and you should really look into this FAST before it's too late.
I wouldn't recommend protein shakes. I found these to be the least effective source of protein and only would have these if I just couldn't eat another meal.
I think Taimur was waffling that last half of the pod. We have a finite amount of things to care about. Even if we wanted to care, it would only be so much. We have jobs to do. If we care about everything, how would we act on it? Will this care detriment other things like your personal relationships/time spent on things you want to do?
He’s not saying care about everything… On a broader level he’s saying choose the things you want to care about and know where you want to be ‘ignorant’. A lot of people who say they don’t care about politics are quite ignorant to it and therefore are ignorant to the implications of what is being done on their behalf by their governments, for example
His brother looks 55. Seems their case of getting a networth of a centri millionaire and academics have taken a toll. They both need to man up and get more alpha. Far more running, gym etc. Physical activity has obviously been missing from most of their life.
@@NotOverthinking This is not to say we all need to be a Navy seal Joko. Or to be a negative dig, but just an honest assessment. Love your entrepreneur journey , but no reason you cant be a centri millionaire, helping humanity, be a ethically good, alpha fit and balanced male. can brits just speak in layman terms? Making it unnecessary complex for the listener to understand what you're trying to say... If you decide to air your political view to the public, just say it....
By favourite podcast finally back 🫡. On a side note how has Ali managed to maintain the hair while Taimurs has withered away? Guess the doctor won the hair game 🤣

Fully agree!
Great to see you both back on Notoverthinking!

These are the type of podcasts I like. No fancy editing. No pretentious studio or backdrops. Just two bros talking about random stuff.
@@Alendi11 100%, hoping to see podcasts revert to this sort of thing. DOAC etc are just too much nowadays
I gotta say I enjoy these podcasts more than the videos from the main channel.
Taimur spot on RE being apolitical and therefore subject/influenced by the highly political environment around you
Loved the pod. Taimur is really smart and tried to touch on Palestine issue the whole pod, but Ali trying to act naive. Love these easy going pods without fancy stuff and just real chill talk.
my brother taimur just shave it
😂 that’s why I clicked cause I wanted to make sure he was really clinging on that hard
Lol! Bro how old is he? 65?
Looking like Ghandi
Don’t be rude people, it can happen to any man and you won’t know the struggle until it hits you personally.
@@WatchuGoneDo lol we got ghandi pt2 in the comments 🤣 let’s see your hair line

take a drink everytime taimur says "you know" - great episode, welcome back boys
Such an underrated subject. Thank you for sharing. Dare to be Exceptional. Dare to be Uncommon!

He’s based
For anyone searching for the book mentioned by Ali : Peter Attia- Outlive: The science and Art of Longevity
Taimur, despite the hair, is still a babe.
at least now we finally know that trying to convince ali to give a shit about politics is like speaking to a brick wall
Fantastic that u guys r back to doing the podcast again 👏🏽👏🏽
I knew you would upload a new episode at some point, so I stilled followed you! Subhanallah. I am enjoying.

Taimur nothing can ever make me not crush over u as much as i do
He is married now…..
Taimur you are so well spoken!
This is so productive conversation! Love to see more.
Wow, these comments… 😢 please don’t take them to heart. You’re both still so handsome.
taimur would look like a modern day gandhi if he let the hair go and kept those glasses - and i say this as a compliment!
Taimur reminds me of Andrew Garfield for some reason. Bro could’ve just used minoxidil

yayy more not overthinking! keep it up
So glad you're back!
I’m sure your PT already assured you Ali, but there are numerous discussions about the margin of error of DEXA scans and to not fret about it!
Appreciate you keeping it real with talking about Palestine

Taimur has a good mind
Taimur is a legend, he's so "normal" because he doesn't live the latest social media trends.
It’s a miracle! The Not Overthinking podcast is back!!! ❤ I’ve missed the pod so much.
Finally another episode!
Love these chats ❤

Glad to see y'all back ❤.

is there something in particular that made u stop it?

Habibi- just get rid of the hair on your head. You’d look so handsome.
So frustrating to listen to Ali being so apolitical
god what happened to your hair lads - is this what married life does to you
