++ for bringing back "why you haven't done a podcast for a while". It is interesting to listen to not because we demand any explanation or you should feel guilty at all, but because it is a good prompt to talk about what's going on in your lives :)
it has been a long time, missed y'all it feels so surreal that I have been listening since Ali was talking about writing his book in this podcast and now it's become a reality
How hard can it be for you two to get 1 hour or even 30 minutes of recording time per week or biweekly or heck per month?! This podcast genuinely had a pivotal change on my life, not just doing lip service I really mean it. I get insight into things and ways of thinking that I don't ever get casually, and I don't get the chance to be part of these type of conversations. Come on man we're all here watching. Just 30 minutes every 2 weeks then
Them not being consistent is a feature not a bug. It’s because of this that the conversations don’t seem to follow a format or template and feel natural. I wouldn’t mess with the mojo.
That’s a great compliment on their podcast, but it’s up to you to find other opportunities to have these kinds of conversations in other areas of your life and online… it’s not a jab at the brothers but this content isn’t super novel either. It’s not easy to find other sources or communities I get it. But you must be aware they are busy and the fact that they are still putting out episodes after years is amazing, given the fact that many podcasts pack up after 1-2 years. I wouldn’t be surprised if they each put in over 60 hours a week on work related tasks given they both run a company. Ditto on the comment that inconsistency and time away from the podcast actually allows them to have updates. Churning out biweekly content can be draining. You don’t always want to share personal details, or have thoughts that you deem noteworthy for a podcast.
Nooo I am cryinggg literally I was missing u guys 😭 so much.... listening to same episodes over and over again and saw this notification.... suddenly broke down....life is sooo good 🤧
Taimur is a legend in this podcast for the talk around social sciences and publications finding their way into books. Ali you are very lucky to have his as a brother! Great pod.
No way! Missed their convo and banter There was an episode where ali was pressing Timur heavily on updating his personal relationship stuff. Due to not having such limits or concern ali was like what is the problem talkng about it now etc it was a great back and forth. Now the Ali is in a relationship it seems, he mentioned a change in stance here in one of his vids. Would love a catch-up with them on this and their evolving thoughts here.
Ali, you should do rank your favorite brandon sanderson books/characters and talks bout that in the next pod especially with all the new secret projects out
For deep dive pod, you should do a similar format to what Chris W and Alex H recently did where they had a chill conversation while in the gym. Do a chill activity while recording the podcast format for deep dive
Taimur shouldn't be hating on studies this much :D He might have a better intution for stuff then the average Joe, but familiariazing himself with study results might have helped develop his intuition. Also, I would argue that the worst 10% of studies ever conducted are not as bad as the worst 10% of intuitions ever had. Not sure if I'm getting my point across here :P Anyway, I'd rather have smart people equipped with study results rather than with just their intuition.
Thinka about it. These guys have a career based on productivity, yet they cannot get on a call fkr 1 hour a week to record this. Just goes to show thay none of these tips on productivity or discipline actually works.
@@anisa6401 don't get me wrong I think both of them are fantastic businessmen. But, I think it's important to always remind yourself that they are businessmen first and this whole productivity thing is more of a gimmick/act.
@@DiLLZGFX I understand where youre coming from, and im very skeptical by nature. These two do not strike me as purposefully gimicky and I definitely dont agree that productivity tips doesnt work - because it does. You can see just how consistent and 'productive' they are in their lives. Theyre also human and prefer / prioritise some things over others. Although it does seem ironic that NOverthinking is so inconsistent considering the content they push (mostly Ali). Thats just my two cents tho, not in tbe business of batting for people ive never met ahah
@@anisa6401 I appreciate your reply and understand your view points. I think the reason why I feel the urge to call out inconsistencies is because over the years that I've spent on TH-cam, I've noticed an increasing amount of content creators mislead their viewers. Overemphasizing and exaggerating their videos with a promise to improve their viewers lives. I grew up with TH-cam since 2005, and I've seen many fitness youtubers making big claims if you eat this or train this way, you will be guaranteed gains, or, do this one productivity hack and see how your life will improve. There are an alarming number of snake oil salesmen growing in the TH-cam community, I'm fortunate enough to recognise this early, but how many young people today are trained and taught to see past the nonsense. The best productivity advice I ever got was from Cal Newport, and what makes his advice so good, is that his podcast has case studies and examples about how you actually implement it. It's only a few pieces of advice but through listening to it weekly you make small changes and you get reminded of the same advice again and again. It's very basic advice, minimise your phone usage, manage your time and practice focusing. I was lucky enough to meet Pietro Boselli whilst at university, and I remember asking him 'Dr Pietro, how did you manage to get your PhD, teach at UCL, model and maintain a high level of fitness?'. He's reply was really honest - ' I never used a productivity system. I just wrote what I needed to do on paper and worked through it. There was no time for coffee or seeing friends. All did was studied, worked and gymmed. Keep it simple'. Don't get me wrong, I used to love Ali's channel. I loved it when it was about studying, medicine and tech. But I don't feel connected with the productivity advice. I love this podcast because I get to see what's life like a few years older than I am. I remember listening to them discussing on ways to see their friends more often. Now that I've left university I'm trying to do the same. It's kind of like getting advice from your older brother. They've been there and just showing you the path. That's why I don't like deep dive, it doesn't have that same feel.

+1 agreed!!!
No freaking way. Awesome to see Taimur and Ali together podding again 😭😭😭
OMG. You guys are back!!! This is legit my favorite podcast ever. Hope you guys become more consistent. This pod helped me so much.
Organic natural conversations like this are far better than regular podcasts where they just post for the sake of meeting their weekly quota
always love your chill vibes! good to see you guys come back finally~
they're finally back!! I've missed this

I missed listening to Taimur case studies 😂. Pls do it more often
I missed this podcast so much 😭 I'm so happy it's back!!!
Top comment says it all. I’d love to see a more regular upload and get more value from this than deep dive and indeed most big podcasts etc
Yay! They're back 👌🏿
Always fun to see a new episode of "AliAli TalkTalk"
the almighty has heard my prayers

can someone list the books/podcasts/recommendations mentioned 😭🤌
You're Back!!!
Diary of a ceo gets cringe but is soooo popular and easy to watch for first time listeners
Yes
All consistency went out the window as soon as you guys stopped taking sponsors, happy to see you back though
If you have seen the movie face off. Taimur reminds me off Nicola cage younger brother in the movie 🤣
35 mins onwards -- won't stop yapping away...bros a yappasaurous rex

I think its a matter of priority really.
They both run businesses and have lives outside of this that is clearly working out for them 😂
Ali's career is based on productivity, not Taimur. On his own channel, Ali's quite consistent with releases.
