Her husband, or dad must be very proud of her. I showed this to my wife, who helps me with all the work we do at our house. Only thing she won't do is go up the roof.
Hey, when I do my valleys , I snap a line on my under course. That way especially on hot days I can cut as I go when I come back with my cut course, and make sure all the CORNERS are not missed. Give it a try works great and easy

In all my years of framing I've only seen 2 roofers hit the ground. Both were walking on felt paper that came loose from lack of button caps and they slid down on the felt paper fast with eyes wide open.
No houses in UK are done like that. We only use concrete, clay or slate tiles for roofs. ....life span is typically 60 to 100 years Of course we don't get hurricanes, maybe that's the difference.
Would have liked to see how you cut that valley to finish it off. I use starts and cut as I go. I find most people that install this way don't finish it properly afterward. Otherwise nice job!
@@JesusAlvarez-jn9eu I got maybe 2 nails close to the seam. In my opinion, every roofer gets them and ones who act like they never do.. I call b.s. the best roofers will still get a low nail, seam nail.. or high nail.

Wow your really not a roofer and should have read the directions on the packet. Any clown can use a nail gun. We see this kind of scrappy work all the time. Installers nailing shingles incorrectly, flashing incorrectly and all around poor workmanship with zero pride in the work. What your doing is not roofing it just covering a house with shingle products with no regard to warranty specifications. Thanks for all the work

I always flip the shingles upside down to mark them on gables as well, I believe factory on factory is always best. Good video 👍

What is wrong? it is a closed cut valley and this is the most commonly installed valley in our area. How do you do yours??
