that unit was faulty. i've seen many users of this same car in Nurburgring saying that it's an absolute monster with no errors in many many laps at full speed.
Let me explain: exact the same happend to a friend of mine, because of the weat road and ESC off, the gearbox was confused and didn t know how to change the geara anymore, not a faulty unit.
@@clauditzu02 Yes, EDCs don't exactly like it when they're in manual mode. They usually know best when to shift.
Gotta give it to this guy, he handled that gearbox problem like a champ.

I realllyy love the clio rs, but do you know which is faster? Megane rs or clio rs? Megane has 250hp or something clio has 220
That gear issue is not a massive problem. A stage 1 remap will fix that, and doesn't happen all the time

Yeah, it's never a good idea to try and use launch control in a FWD car when the weather is wet and greasy like it was when you made the video. You just found out the hard way.

i have been watching his videos for a while now and launch control isnt really his strength. i am subscribed only because i like the cars he shows, not what he says and neither what he does. as a driver, you cant really call your self experienced when you drive tons of cars taking them for just a spin; and it shows. i also want to see accelleration and top speed than anything else. i want to buy this car
Launch control is fine. It has 0.5 seconds front wheel slipping then it just accelerates to 70 ~ 80kmh before you shift to 2nd. My friend owns a clio rs trophy '16.

This car is a good one as i daily car BUT only for a person who don’t drive always fast BECAUSE this gearbox is DRY GEARBOX SISTEM (there is no oil inside) but as i said this car is perfekt for a normal daily driver who likes from time to time to press it but not always 😉
Where did u hear that? There is no such thing as a "DRY GEARBOX". Any mechanical system that has metals grinding against each other needs oil

@@e.demirovic True, the Renault clio from my mom's company sucks so much, it's the van model, 1.5 3cyl gasoline with 90hp that feel like 40, the AC stops blowing cold when u hit the pedal hard 😂, also it's noise af on highway, wind gets in from doors because they reused the normal clio doors for the van model and they lack any type of wind isolation

This little fun car is fun, but it definitely needs more horsepower.
I work in a bigass building where one of these was standing there for me to wash.
I looked under the hood and definitely agreed with myself this ride needs a bigger turbo.
Maybe fit a 4x4 into it and you'll have a nice little fun all around all season car. :D
Stage 3 done by a german company upgrade the turbo, but the main Clio RS Trophy issue is the EDC gearbox. You need to limit the torque to under 400Nm else it's bust. This being said the car is hella fun on a twisty road, or on a course, where the suspension and chassis shines! And in regards to the seasons, all I can say good winter tyres matter :)

220 ch qui marche moins bien qu'une Audi A1 de 192cv avec laquelle j'ai pris 256 km/h sur l'autobhan toute d'origine .avec un 0 à 100kmh de 6,4sec .
c'est normal l'audi est une quattro, meilleure motricité à l'accéleration
Cedric Clement la 192 cv est une traction, la quattro c'est 231cv
256 compteur? La même provenance que son système de dépollution? J’ai eu une A1 Tfsi 185, plus petite, plus légère, mieux finie, 0,8l d’huile au 1000km... sinon, quel matériel pour ton 0 à 100?

Tbh , a wonderful lookin hothatch TOTAL ruined by a TERRIBLE semi-automatic shift. I will never ever buy one. Going for a Corsa OPC with sport pack.
Good luck with that OPC engine than.I heard they are wery fragile when pushed often.Mine bet would be on that Clio when it comes to reliability and resale value.Also faster on B roads then Corsa OPC

OPC engine got a very well knowed issue with piston 3. But only on the pre-facelifted model. The last OPC series is just excellent , especially with performance pack.

@@ivanlazarevic78 just to say , i own a RCZ-R ecu remapped to 300hp from 2 years and half. I'm soooo satisfied by my choice , that 1.6lt runs a fuckin DREAM i love it , seems to drive a 2.5 lt !

oui enfin quand "ce que notre pays fait" a un problème de boîte en plein milieu de l'autoroute... comment dire? C'est que c'est pas hyper au point. Quand tu compares les renault actuelles avec les anciennes tu te dit qu'ils commencent à un peu faire de la merde en ce moment. La clio II RS n'avait pas autant de problèmes méca ^^
Ceci dit tu me dira, la boîte EDC est la première boîte robotisée de Renault donc dans la mesure ou renault n'avait pas autant de savoir faire que volkswagen avec sa DSG, ca peut expliquer quelques problèmes de jeunesse.
Mais bon, c'est assez chiant de voir que la caisse que tu payes 25-30000 euros au bas mot te fait ca dès que tu tires un peu dedans :/
