To sum it up:
1) Learn computer fundamentals - operating systems, networking, databases etc.
2) Learn the tools that cloud engineers typically use - Linux command line and bash, Git, Git Action, Terraform, and a programming language of your choice, either Python or Typescript.
3) Pick one cloud platform from 3 of the most popular platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), pass entry-level certification.
4) Start building projects to demonstrate understanding.
5) Apply jobs.

I have the same aspirated and goal set in my mind to complete and wanted to ask you with your experience is cloud computing commonly outsourced overseas?
I have a degree in business administration, which had basic IT modules, like java programming, basics in web development, databases and some i troductions to SAP modules like production planning....so im not a complete beginner from zero in IT.
I will begin my cloud journey today, but im thinking of doing a couple of courses on coursera.
I just completed the Google IT support certificate on Coursera and almost done with the Google Advanced Data Analytics certificate. But they are more general and not as focused.
I will follow your plan as it seems more focused and to the point.
Based on what i just said, if you had to give me a timeline estimate, how many months would you give someone like me to learn the skills as you suggested??

Great content! One question here, do u think getting CCNA is good for ppl who persuing a cloud engineer career? Does company require ppl to have CCNA togther with Cloud Cert?

You mentioned working on the fundamentals first before diving into Cloud certifications. Does this mean those with no experience should start by earning the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification to understand Networking and Red Hat certifications to understand Linux before getting into the Cloud Providers certifications?
