When you say not opening properly, what do you mean exactly? It would never be bad to clean it every so often however. Now to test it fully, you would want to hook it up to a vacuum pump of some sort and manually actuate the valve and see at what vacuum level the valve is opening and if there are any hang ups in its opperation. Thanks, Rick
As long as you have their pipe specific for the HKS valve, it will be a direct bolt on. The pipe you would need ot have is: www.rallysportdirect.com/part/blow-off-valve-flanges/fdbh00006b-cp-e-exhale-hks-bov-kit Thanks, Rick
You’re gonna need a new engine. On the plus side, it would sound super amazing and sequential and jdm until it blew up later that day 😂 STI are maf cars, you have to convert to speed density to run a bro-off valve. But I don’t know why people are in such a big hurry to waste the boosted air that your engine and turbo already worked to compress lol Honestly, standalone ecu makes sense in 2022 with cobb’s games they’re playing, so speed density is realistic. The stock bypass valve is honestly good for more power than your block, but if you feel the need to upgrade it I recommend the Cobb LF BPV that’s bypass valve bpv not bov. Other companies make them too, such as Grimmspeed, but I can’t recommend them I can only recommend the one I’ve used Tbh bro, everyone on planet earth thinks I have a “loud blow-off valve” 😂 It’s the intake And bypass valve, but it gives you the choof sound you’re looking for, trust me. You’d swear my car had a blowoff valve. It’s funny. Build a bit of boost and lift CHOOOFF
No, no tune required. And you will get some afterfires when running fully atmospheric as you will get rich conditions between shifts, but most cars seem to run okay with them on. Thanks, Rick
Does it come with plier tools for the c clamp??
I have one of these and I think it’s not opening properly. Do they need to be re-oiled or have maintenance every few years or so?

I have a 2017 sti. Would this require a tune after install.
No you should be able to bolt this on with no other modifications.
Thanks,
Rick
Best BOV for Subaru!
Toto Ash yeah but they don’t run that good with stock tune
@@PuertoRicanThor why run a bov on a stock tune
why does the thumbnail say hks turbo timer type 0
Does it work on audi Q7 2011 3.0tdi

What adapter will i need to install it on a 2017 Subaru sti limited?
You’re gonna need a new engine.

turbo is important for install this thing?
You need a turbo to make the blow off valve work, other than that, it's just a waste of money.
Thanks,
Rick
does it work on subaru wrx v9?
Do these leak boost??
No in fact I would say these valves are the least likely to leak boost due to the design.
Thanks,
Rick
RallySport Direct sweet! Thanks!
if I go 50/50 like my sti 05 already is can I order one and install it with out needing a tune
if I need a tune I would just go full atmosphere
+tony guzman Yes, and the blow off valve will not require a tune :)
Thanks,
Rick
If I go fully atmospheric will I need a tune? Or will it run fine as I researched it does have some backfires when running fully atmospheric.
No, no tune required. And you will get some afterfires when running fully atmospheric as you will get rich conditions between shifts, but most cars seem to run okay with them on.
Thanks,
Rick
Only want recirculating for subaru unless you want to pay for a tune to run the fully atmospheric.
will this work on a 2016 wrx limited?
+916medic You would need the proper adapter for it, but you should be able to make it work.
Thanks,
Rick
916medic did you end up installing this?
