Ah, the early 2000's. A time when they hadn't quite conceived of the idea of Cartoon Network City yet, but were willing to get experimental with just about anything.

OH MY GOD I USED TO LOVE THIS SO MUCH. JUST THIS ONE CLIP. IF I HEARD THIS MUSIC I WOULD COME RUNNING TO THE TV TO SEE THIS. I feel like crying. It's all gone
I just cried. I miss being a child where these little shorts could still be watched. Boomerang was such a good show. 😔 Used to watch it at my Grandmas house.
My brother and i watched this on TV in between our favorite cartoons when we were just kids and it used to scare me sometimes but I still loved this video. In fact, i still love this video.
At least I'm not the only one. Looking back now, I see that this is very creative and well animated. The music definitely gave a south-of-the-border vibe but also made me feel anxious and fearful. I have found the source my irrational fear of this animation style. In the end, weird but very cool.
@@halcatio7971 I never forgot about it. I always knew about it because I still have Direct TV and Cable TV, and it's almost entirely engraved in my head.

Me too. That is what I remember and the ending scene. I was getting a flashback to this b/c I have to read "Huckleberry Finn" and I was thinking wait... isn't that a show on boomerang? I was wrong b/c it was Huckleberry Hound.
I like going back and seeing how fun, quirky, and well done the animation is. I completely forgot about this and now I am going on and looking at old Boomerang videos.
As a kid I'd literally scream at my cousins and siblings just to tell them this animation was on😂😂for whatever reason from the animation, music and story it just captured us in its majesty. Great memories🦾
I loved this small animation as a kid because "Wow! So cool. Good guy wins!" And that still stands, but the thing that stands out more than anything to me now is the music and sound effects. They fit together so well, especially in the train section.
Remember when Boomerang and limited commercials, actually old school HB shows, and beautiful shorts like this? Ugh what a time that was. We could enjoy the old with the new on Cartoon Network. Rest in peace, television and Saturday morning cartoons
I love the feeling of two worlds colliding. I became a fan of Calexico when they collaborated with Iron and Wine many years after this, I had no idea I had heard them before
I still have very fond and descriptive memories of seeing this come on before Secret Squirrel whenever I’d spend the night at my grandparents’ house on the weekends.
This one short must have influenced so much of my artistic style aesthetically and culturally-from the Mexican/Western setting to the colorful, collage-esque animation. Nearly cried rewatching this at least a decade after they stopped airing these shorts.
Bruh I thought I was the only one who used to be scared of this, until I saw the comments lol. As I got older I started to love it even more, bro I so miss the 90s and early 00s Cartoons they were the dopest.
Just heard this music from a video with similar music and I knew I heard it somewhere before. I somehow found this video and totally remember it from my childhood! I am proud I found it. Good times.

I was around 4 when i first started watching boomerang and reruns of older shows, it took me a while to remember but after i heard the sound effects, i got a wave of nostalgia. Im 16 now, and i still love cartoons to this day, and i owe it to cn and boomerang for showing reruns of shows like pokemon, ben 10, johnny bravo, ed edd n eddy, the flintstones, tom and jerry, etc.
