Tony Slydini was a legend of magic. This rare television appearance on the Dick Cavett show demonstrates why he was so revered among magicians. Enjoy! Slydini Magic Magician Close-up Magic
I saw Slydini at the club meeting in the 70's. He blew me away with his coins through table. Maybe he just seems too "old school" for me now, but his excessive manual flourishes bely obvious technique (while impeccably practiced) and it seems that the hand movements display a definite "I'm hiding something from you, oh, here it is again." So be it, a great artist for the ages.
Song is "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes." Old standard, originally written in 1933. Pretty appropriate for a routine involving cigarettes.
You may know a lot of great magicians now, however Slydini had such a style that'll never have a real match.
Ahh i never get tired of watching slydini beautiful absolutely beautiful
This video is so relaxing!! I watch it over and over.
