    Biggest mistake is not opening the coach position nationally. How many Head Coaches would have killed to follow legendary Jim Boeheim. Does anyone remember a year where Jim Boeheim was regularly losing by 30 to 40+ points, crazy. I graduated Syracuse U 1974

    Why would he not test the waters ,and as for transferring not going to happen if he stays he will play for Syracuse. He’s a starter guaranteed at Syracuse and doesn’t have to prove himself elsewhere. Might be a bit of a ball hog but last season a lot of times he didn’t have options if Bell was off and Taylor was practically nonexistent. A lot more options next season for sure. We would be crazy to not want him back and for the ones saying that have zero idea of what they are talking about.

    Malike Brown is not a true center but he was quick and he had good footwork. He hopefully gets his body stronger during the off-season to be able to have the strength to bang with centers . I also hope Malik work on his 3 point shot. MALIK has NBA potential

    • @LockedOnSyracuse
      @LockedOnSyracuse  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I totally agree. Rn Maliq projects to be an undersized 4 at the NBA-level... if he can develop a 3-ball then teams can use him at the 3

    When he doesn’t ball hog but is involved, they played really well. In his mind he needs the ball to be involved, but he’s learning.

    Yes, he needs to work on his outside shot, then he's a top ten draft pick in the NBA.

    My only problem with Mintz is his uncontrollable drives, when he’s getting calls it’s great. When he’s not getting calls it equates to turnovers or offensive fouls, killing momentum

    • @jeremymartin188
      @jeremymartin188 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      He needs more space. We have 2 Freshman coming in that will help but if we could get a big that can shoot it will allow our guards to get to the rim. We were one dimensional at times this year and Judah had no choice but to force it.

      😢Even though I agree with most of what you said and the complementary players on the team, including those coming in as freshmen that wilh westry, as well as the red shirt freshman center, that can kind of double as a power forward..VS flat footed mcloud.. I think it's about setting plays,screens,motion about having an active offense set.freeman and maliq as 2 power fwds. Starting..no need for small forward. Matchup is small forward playing at tall guard.. Also, multiple 3 point shooters, including Hughes and bell, will space out the floor for Judah. I think it's about motion.A team like that needs to run it similarly to the Bulls The team looks like it's set up for the Triangle- They have not been necessarily running it that way..and I'm really surprised, I thought.
      This this coach, AA was better from An.
      Understanding of players. Of what we have, how the best players ...can get the most time. 24:22 24:34

      @@LockedOnSyracuse I don't agree. Starling will be better at the point mainly because he is more dangerous from three and has the same ability to get to the basket. With the new recruit, Elijah Moore, playing starting shooting guard this is more dangerous than having Mintz on the floor, because now you have two guards who shoot from outside. That will open up the court for the bigs to operate around the basket.

    Judah may spend a year or 2 in the G League, but if Buddy is seeing the court (he actually is playing for detroit and getitng in games), Judah has a great shot at a 2 way at the least. I think Judah leaves----but if we throw high 6 figure NIL money at him---maybe he pulls a Battle and stays 3 years....

      We shouldn't pay extortion for a player that really isn't 100 % in...just to keep him...bad precedent...if you want to go, then go...we'll be alright either way...just announce your decision earlier vs later...waiting until the last min isn't good for our team, coaches , other players, or the fans (the people that now pay these young adults)...but it is what it is...

      First of all, he’s as good or better than a number of guys who went first round last year. Just check his numbers. Same is true for this year. Hard to believe Dillingham, Wagner, Collier, Shead, Koleck, Smith, Lawyer and others are head and shoulders better. Was the second best guard in the conference to RJ. But his role was different. RJ had no point guard responsibilities, just got buckets. Mintz was top 5 in 3 categories, 5 if you count free throws attempted/made. Will get better at the 3 ball with more practice, and that can happen with more time to get up shots which the nba will provide. He will be a mid to late second round draft pick because he’s not from a winning program and is competing with a lot of younger guys who’ve been stamped as nba prospects since high school. If the right team drafts him and invest in his development, he will be a steal and go on to have a solid career. He might even raise his stock with a great combine which would not surprise me. Any objective evaluator of college players can see he has nba talent. Forget the analytics and pay attention to the eye test. His 3 ball will get better with a breakdown of his mechanics. Based on his free throw percentage he’s capable of being decent. Lastly, don’t place a lot of stock in these mock drafts. They’re all over the place. Any nba agent will tell you that. Judah’s handlers know what they have and would not be investing in him if they didn’t believe in him.

    • @briangray5133
      @briangray5133 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @carlmintz568 Don't need to be head and shoulders better, just better...maybe even higher ceilings...belief in your handlers and yourself is certainly important, but all of your above listed players have the same ... shead certainly helped himself with his showing showing defense, extremely poised, great leadership and decision making...very impressive...
      Good luck with Judahs decision...hope he makes the correct one that leads to success...whatever that is for him...

      @@josereyes1148 If I was in Mintz's position I would get a degree in business or economics. He will eventually make the kind of money that a good working knowledge of how to make his money work for him will be necessary from the outset. Being too reliant upon his agent and not knowing what is going on in his financial life is a recipe for exploitation.
