- We had such BIG PLANS for #YTG2020, and then the craziest thing happened. I couldn't write a more unpredictable script than what mother nature provided for us. March 2020 - a health crisis hit the world and historic measures were taken to stop a small invader that worked its way around the globe. People and businesses shuttered and Canada issues a "Stay at Home Order". Everything comes to a halt. My TH-cam GOLD Crew - kept safe and healthy away from the mine site.. are mandated to stay away from the directly from the Canadian Prime Minister. Yet.. there is so much work to be done at the mine site. If I don't get started on my own.. then we will never be ready for when the crew can return and we can start mining for GOLD again!
The mine site is a complete mess - and the winter of 2019/2020 was brutal to it. We left Season 2 in quite a hurry as the snow was falling and we were freezing up. Now.. I am left with the clean up task.. and to deal with the constant issue we were dealing with last year.. MUD on the MINE SITE. This is a terrible thing.. and stops the progress of getting any pay dirt washed. Well.. I have been working on a plan all season long to put in a proper road.. something durable.. and something that will last. It's a long project.. but since Im heavily invested in this equipment anyways - I should put my skills to work.

Just watch out when the wood gets wet with some dirt on it, it might get a bit slippery.
Try painting it and sprinkle some sand onto the wet paint for extra grip as you want it to be safe, not like the Loading Kings warehouse!
My wife was like "it's going to take him forever to complete this with small RCs like that"... I told her that you had a full sized CAT that is remote controlled, then like 30 seconds later you brought it out LOL.

Hey Aaron, why not break out the mine truck to move the fleet out to the site.
If not the fleet, then line them up and use 1 of your truck and trailer to haul the remotes out.
It would save you a lot of time and walking.

I saw you post this first episode for season 3. I went back and finished watching all of season 2 first before watching this video. Awesome content as always, if you are able to get everyone together would be even amazing! season 2 was packed full of "that's what she said moments". Specially towards the end with Everett with gloves trying to clean the hole and mud! TH-cam Gold!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great idea by using the cedar wood for the roads. If by some chance it starts getting wet and slick you could always get a few pieces of shingle roofing and Tack it down. It would act like grip tape for a skateboard. Lol

The mine site is shaping up nicely after the winter season. I think in my amateur opinion that all this lockdown, quarantine stuff should be ending soon. I also think it's going to take some basic common sense precautions for quite some time to continue to deal with it.
On a different note, gotta like Bob. He's the real strong and silent type.

If you do a small gap between the bords it will help for the dirt that falls onto it.

A suggestion, you might try window screen for road matting & lay thin layer of dirt on top for decent traction & it will be more to scale than cedar slats. Can't wait for season 3 to start. Stay safe!
