- Walking around my custom Motovan by The Motobox!
This Sprinter motovan is truly the best of both worlds when it comes to hauling the toys and being comfortable on long road trips. The rear fits 3 motocross bikes even with the large wheel-wells. When it’s time to get the race car to the track, I throw my enclosed trailer onto the back of the Sprinter and load up. The dually (3500 series) handles towing great and keeps the van stable at highway speeds and crosswinds.
The retractable bed and middle lounge area also makes the van a great camper and work-station. There’s been plenty of times where I road trip from Arizona to California with friends and they’re working in the back with the table that can be set up in the lounge area. This sprinter does require a taller garage (ten feet tall) and you will need at least 24 feet in length for this van to fit in a garage comfortably. Overall, I really wouldn’t go any other route for a motocross and race car hauler.

The 170 does really well with 5k tow even on inclines. The light race car and aluminum trailer make easy work for the Sprinter.
@@CharlieFerer do you pull an enclosed or open trailer?
@@kurtkrummel I now have an all aluminum ATC enclosed trailer. Pulls no problem.
What about tool storage?
We have a designated spot for our tool box in the right corner by wheel well that fix perfectly.

Charlie - why not the premium chassis with LEDs and bigger screen? I had to wait another 4 months for mine.
That is what was available. I have an aftermarket large screen as part of the stereo conversion that includes a full time camera for the back besides the rear view camera that is in the rear view mirror.
@@CharlieFerer can you share or post info on the back camera you mounted?
Ps. This build layout is amazing. Perfect sofa / changing area and the garage is legit.

The van is lovely . What have you done to the shoulder /arm . Did The old girl throw you off the weekend
I injured my shoulder in a Mx race. Complete rotator cuff tear, long head bicep tendon and labrum tear. Just had surgery.
@@CharlieFerer sorry to hear about the injury coming on the bike. They bark and they bite. Been bitten a few times. Been off the MX bike since March, and I'm just now good to get back on.
