  • Is grading your games a good idea?
    Is CGC the way to go?
    This is my best attempt at a completely honest blind unboxing of CGC Graded Video Games. I was super excited going into making this video and if you watch all the way through you will see some of the things that cause me some concern and irritation at the condition and inconsistency of the grades. I am not a grader, but being a 25 year collector and a 10 year video game store owner I've seen millions of games at varying conditions. Regardless of what I may have expected in grading, the major concerns are with the acrylic cases and how long it will hold up over time. Please just watch and judge for yourself and comment below what your thoughts.
    Please like and subscribe for more, I will be shooting a follow up video next week

    You can send off those graded games to my company and for a nominal fee we will inspect and grade the protective casing and printing that CGC did. We will also put a protective casing around the protective casing with a grade for the CGC grading (& package job they did). For protection. This will ensure that the CGC graded packaging does not loose its value.
    You can reach me at my offices located near Scam St. And Suckers Ville Rd.

      But can you protect the protective case you put around the CGC case? I need full Acrylic Inception!!!

    Loved the unboxing. I stayed till the end and I like the old NES games. Modern Is cool but the NES is history

    The plastic pieces in the case is disappointing. One of my game had a small piece of lint stuck in the corner. Looking forward to hearing how CGC respond to this issue

      Finally. Exactly. They are plastic cheap flimsy cases. Not acrylic cases. They are liars.

    I'm such a fan of the Gold Art Cover of WW HD, and although the grade wasn't the best it was my favorite out of the bunch. I've been seeing a lot of complaints in regards to the quality control on the cases at CGC. There should never be sharp pieces of acrylic in the case. I'm also seeing surface scratches to the acrylic cases. If they scratch so easily I'd be worried that they will not display well in the future. I'm honestly disappointed with CGC so far. Thanks for sharing and I hope they help you out. Cheers!

      Thanks for watching and leaving such a detailed comment. I feel the same, worried about longevity of cases over time and O have been in contact with CGC about the broken pieces. I will be making a follow up video soon

    I want to grade my Metal Gear Solid for ps1. Its my favorite game of all time. I want to grade it, not to sell it. I want to grade it because i love the game and its special to me. I want to protect it and put it on display.

    Hi I'm from Canada and I'm going to use the Canadian General Post office air mail parcel to send my video games to Cgc,
    May I ask which address to use to send to Cgc video games? should I send to the cgc p.o address or to the 5501 Communications park way?
    I'm afraid I'll lose it if I send it to the wrong place

      I didn’t mail them in I dropped them off at a convention they were at. Sorry. I would recommend following the directions or address on the submission form. I know cards, comics, and video games all go to different locations

    Man those shards and scuffs is unacceptable. Horrible QA by CGC. I hope they fix this for you, free of charge, and cover your shipping, and give you a refund for the hassle.

    How can a factory sealed just get 9.6?

    • @blueshellgaming2265
      @blueshellgaming2265  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure how they give 2 of the same sealed games 2 totally different grades!

    • @apebitmusic83
      @apebitmusic83 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A factory sealed game could get run over by a truck and still be factory sealed

    Looks like a very disappointing experience honestly, sorry you had to experience that after spending a fair chunk. Those shards should really get you a refund for negligence, especially if damaging the game seal

    They screwed you over. Whoever graded those should be fired. CGC should offer to grade all of the games again. Once they get bad word of mouth they will fail.

    I personally don't believe in the slab hobby in general. Not books, much less games. But at least with comic books it could be cracked open and read 30, 40, 50 years from now. I don't know, maybe some relic collector might become curious with the content. But with games, without the console it's useless. And I doubt there will be any console for those games 30, 40, 50 years down the road. Yeah maybe one or two in a gaming museum.

    • @blueshellgaming2265
      @blueshellgaming2265  ปีที่แล้ว

      The NES came out 40+ years ago and I play mine every week. So 40 years from now yeah I do think people will still be collecting and preserving these games and consoles.
