    I like the concept of this, but the decision makers (producers, directors, etc.) would also need to embrace this shift. They themselves operate and rely on a system where they rely on CD's and agents/managers to provide them with talent. On these platforms you'd still need to be connected to these decision makers in order for them to even know you exist, let alone see your content, and most won't just connect with a bunch of actors.

      Thank you for your thoughtful comment. The approach I'm suggesting is an aggressive one. The actor assumes 100% responsibility for his or her career. Yes, many decision-makers will not connect directly with actors. But they will pay attention to audience numbers. Those numbers mean $$$. This is not simply my opinion. It is already happening. Watch the video I recommend at the end of this one. Those young talents bypassed the traditional system of auditioning for roles. They created their own entertaining content, pleased and gained a large following, and were then offered sizeable roles in TV and film projects. The psychology of this approach is to flip the status game in your favor. It's bold and gratifying. You no longer chase the work. The work chases you.
