- Installing a lane regulator in your Kral Puncher rifle.
ATTENTION: Make sure the gun has been fully degassed and no remaining air is in the air reservoir before attempting any disassembly.
NOTE: Your regulator will include a packet of silicone grease. Apply a thin layer to all O-rings and seating surfaces prior to re-assembly.

Troy, I finally got my lane regulator in the puncher breaker silent marine. I had a problem with the gun leaking air. I found that on the top of the hammer spring cap, it had deep scars from the factory. When the cap in-gauged the regulator the small scars caused the regulator to leak. I had to polish the top of the cap with a 8,000 grid stone. Once the cap was polished the leaks stopped. I noticed the cap in this video is nice and smooth. After I finally got the problem solved the gun shoots great, nice and quiet. Thank you for all your help and e-mails. To all who watch this video I would highly recommend dealing with Troy and The Robert Lane Regulator. Thank you also Robert for a fine piece of equipment.

totally agree. All the YT that can't afford a tripod and insist on making a shaky YT video. And the ones that post an out of focus video. but my favorite are the ones that for some reason think they have to have back round music. 22 years of school and never had a teacher play music while they taught.

Before starting anything have to fully degass/empty the tube. How does one do this??
After installing the regulator do you fit the valve cap on tightly or do you have to leave a small gap so the air can escape? Lane videos show you have to drill a hole in the air cylinder to let the regulator breathe.
Does the pressure gauge still work???

Hola saludos desde argentina, me podras decir cuantos tiros y a cuantos fps te quedo tirando, le coloque al mio y me arrojo 42 tiros a 900fps con JSB 18 grains.
when you have a problem with you valve stem seal you can use this spacer(there are 4 pices in the Lane kit) to do a new valve seal.. it is the same diameter the only thing to do you must grind the spacer down to 2 mm and put it in your valve stem seal ....and you will have a new seal for your valve when your original valve stem seal i leaking.....it is my sugestion then you have leaking valve stem seal

After installing the regulator, what was the end fps and shot count.
It's still adjustable on speed. I set this one at 800fps with 15.89gr JSB and was getting 72 shots on a fill.
What defference between regulated and un regolated pcp in funtoin ?

I do a lot of adjustments. Different hammer springs completely, larger ports and internal valve mods. Really all depends on what you're trying to get from it. Power/shotcount/both
You should use tripod for Cam. against vibration in order to get better quality of image.

what is to hold the regulator in place... could not it separate from the valve?
The higher pressure in the tube keeps it seated against the valve.

After reg install. The pressure gauge now shows the reg pressure and not the cylinder pressure?
In the mega it shows reg pressure. In the breaker it shows tube pressure.

I have just fitted this regulator. It was set at 90 bar.
I am only getting 8ft llbs power since the reg was fitted. I noticed that the transfer port on your valve appears to be approx 4mm. The puncher breaker transfer port is only 1.5mm. Is it necessary to open up the port? Someone else told me to shorten the spring on the Poppet valve to get the power back up. What would you recommend?
Drill the transfer port in the barrel, through the breech in to the valve to 2.5mm. If you cut the valve spring you'll waste air. Use the TP to bring it back up.

@@AnnihilatorAirguns I drilled out the TP to 2.5mm on my homemade milling machine. The TP in the Barrel and Breech was already at 3mm. now shooting at 14ft llbs. I have dialed it down to 11.5 ft llbs with the power adjuster(UK restriction)
I have removed the grub screw and small tension spring from the power adjuster and replaced it with a longer grub screw. The power adjuster is now locked into place.
Still getting hammer bounce though but this Airgun has always had this problem. A plus after fitting the reg is that the annoying ping has gone. I will put a full shot string through it tomorrow to see how it performs.
In your video. You fitted a nylon washer behind the Poppet valve spring to give the spring more tension. Does this solve the Hammer bounce?

Another thought : The Puncher Breaker has a 280cc tank . The NP-3 has a 180cc tank . If the diameter is the same , I could replace the filler port end with one that has the gauge on it and be able to read tank pressure and regulator pressure .
The tubes are not compatible. NP-03 tube is aluminum and thicker wall meaning the valve would be too loose plus it would extend past the barrel.
@@AnnihilatorAirguns I was thinking just the filler port assembly by the muzzle and use the original tank tube of the NP-3 . I could machine an adapter if the difference would allow enough thickness to be safe . Probably more simple to design a new filler port with a foster fitting orientend inline with a gauge port on the radius .

Hector Chaparro I'm not sure they supply one. This is for a Lane regulator install. Last one I saw that was a huma was on a customer's gun they shipped me for work. It was supplied with an o-ring that went over the threads of the depinger cap to seal it but it leaked. I had to modify the parts to fit. You will want to contact Huma to see if they have any advice on installing their regs in a Kral.

It is steel. I believe it's 2.5mm wall

But as far I can see then the air gauge will show regulator pressure and not the pressure in the cylinder. Am I right?
Miloš Dalmacija the mega shows reg pressure but the pro and breaker show tube pressure since their gauge is part of the fill port.
I have mega puncher, so I will see then regulated pressure. I will then see if the tube is empty only when regulated pressure is lower then set up.

yes the valve, at 2:36 of the video where you put down the camera. you made it seem so easy, i tried putting an allen wrench and still doesnt budge
mixplate you need to apply heat to the tube where the threads screw in. I'd already had this one apart and that's why it looks easy. I use a heat gun and a 13mm wrench to take them apart the first time.

Nice. I have the 22 cal bullpup and was looking at a regulator. I am trying to get about 900-920 fps with a 16 gr pellet. Any suggestions on how to achieve this?
Well if you install regulator you'll have to try out the settings and measure the pellet speed. For me 920 fps is too fast for 16gr pellets. Try 18,13gr, because it has way better stabillity.

ike Viljoen on the mega the gauge reads reg pressure. On the breaker it reads the fill pressure.

I've not gotten to try that gun yet but looks like the Lane or Huma for the Puncher Breaker/Mega should work. You'll want to ask them to be sure first.
i have problem with my valve steam leaking.....what i do ....the white spacer for the hammer spring tension is ecact the diameter for the seal what to do is only grind it to 2mm.
I don't understand your question. The white spacer goes in to the de-pinger cap to add additional tension on the valve stem spring to lower hammer bounce since you are running on lower pressure.

It can. A Lane or Huma bottle regulator will work.

Degass the gun by loosening the gauge until all air is out.

That's the stock action that comes on the rifle. I'm not sure where you can find a replacement.

you should show a complete ,start to finish , you are very thorough in your innerworking but you started out in the middle of the job and didn't show the finished product
This video was just to show you how to install the regulator. Really only started with the stock removed and the air pressure released and you should be able to do that on your own. This keeps the video short and to the point.
Good information, but get a tripod.
