    Nice Video! The cheap version of your motor support is a big rubber O-ring. That's what I use on my cars with heavy motor to prevent bending the mount. If you seriously think about going into 5th scale have a llok at the FG onroad scene, that might be right down your alley interms of speed on the street!

    Hey Raz funny to see the Talion build it was my last build fishscale adapters for scale wheels new Talion EBX crazy I did the same thing. Only problem I had is my adapters needed to be machine down they make the car too wide which made it hard to drift I don’t have access to a lathe you may run into the same issue except you’re really good at solving problems😏👍🏻🤟🏻

    Yes 💯% You will really enjoy 1/5.
    And it will be very interesting in what we will see you do with monsters. I had a hpi baja ss for a long time multiple 2 strokes went in. All my motors I bought in parts and built my self. Last motor was a esp 30.5 2mm + STROKE AND STUFFED CRANK, 990 CARB AND LOTS OF UPGRADES. Second spine surgery put a end to all that.🤷‍♂️
    Can't wait to see what you do.

    You should make the motor support out of metal. It would transfer a lot of heat to the chassis and keeps the motor cool. 😉

    • @tysemilicia3931
      @tysemilicia3931 2 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @FarmerFpv
    @FarmerFpv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Same problem with all my arrma bashers. I bend the motor mount or bend the can of the motor. I made a rear aluminum brace on my lathe for my arrmas. Now it also transfers the heat from the rear of the motor to the chassis. I had to put thermal paste between the mount and chassis for it to transfer heat really well. I thought you were going to be gentle? lol

    I find 1:5 to be too large for me in the sense of fun vs work! Tough to carry around and all that! Having said that, I love what you’ve done with the Losi and I do want more content of this type!
    In a way 1:5 scale it’s like with RC boats for me! I love them but I find the maintenance to be a tad too much!
    Who knows, maybe there’s an XMaxx or Losi like the one you built in my future, one never knows! Anyhow, you do inspire others 😁

      @@EJ-74 Maybe later in my life when I have more time, and will eventually get that Ford Raptor😁, I will start toying with 1:5! Right now 1:7 is perfect for my “carrying around a large car” tolerance 😎!

    add more walls to your print, like 5 or 7 (around 2.8mm thick ) will make them heaps stronger and 100% infill but instead of infill increase top and bottom layer count s o its faster.

    I don't understand why that type of Motor Support isnt stock eqipment. It seems like a no brainer to hold the motor up from heavy landings. OR, even make one out of aluminum so it conducts heat into the chassis for improved cooling. Why not? obviously make it round so it wont deform the motor can
