    You need to reduce drag. The antenna could be incorporated into the vertical stabilizers, making one less drag surface. Also, the body mounts and clips could be inverted so the towers and clips are upside down and behind the wheels, making four fewer drag surfaces. Finally, airplanes have cowls on their wheels for a reason. Extend the skirt of the body to encompass the rear wheels and taper it towards the rear (you could, with sufficient planning, cowl the steering wheels, but probably won't). Those changes will give you a total of seven drag reductions. Best of luck!

      Absolutely. Every little thing. Painting B-17’s in World War II made them faster because it filled in gaps at the rivets & seams. They just didn’t paint them so they could get them off the production line faster, which is what really mattered at the time.

    Raz Have you thought about bringing 2 ladders and a board to stand up high that way you can get a longer run and see the car better? I see all the guys going for the record either standing on a ladder or the bed of a big truck to get a height advantage so they can get a longer run-up. When we race the driver's stands are up real high so we can see the corners of the track. You should try it. Might be that extra edge you need to break 200+ mph.

      Aircraft style running lights so you know which way it's pointed may help as well. A buddy used to paint his high speed planes in odd blocks of colors so he could tell the planes orientation at distance. Not pretty, but he found it effective.

      Roof rack on any vehicle would suffice.

    • @SeanReevesD
      @SeanReevesD ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@donaldrieger381 trying to keep weight down might be the issue. However, putting high-vis reflective tape (different reflective frequencies for front and back) and shining high-output lights down the track would serve the the same purpose adding only a few grams to the build.

    Great build as always. Sucks about the lipo shortages. Quick question tho, do you think your burn outs just before the pass might be chewing up your foams? I know you’re probably trying to heat up the packs and tires, but that’s a dangerous move IMO. Love your content and wish you the best. 🤘🏻

    Going in a straight line is one thing , it might be interesting to see this beast on a track, maybe a 1:5 track or a go cart track so it could unleash itself a little :D

    You need scaffolding so you can see the car through the long runs it will help so much

    I'm not a RC guy at all, but enjoyed the video. Just looking from a lay persons POV, the shell of the car looks like the weak point. The thin clear plastic shell at 200mph must be flexing all over the place. Added to the that, is there really a need for the "cockpit" atheistic to be on the outer shell? That must be 5 mph in drag alone.
    I would have thought a low as possible, carbon body, flat all the way, would yield the best results.
    I look forward to your next videos!
