There were rumors about Jim's Japanese VA quiting voice acting, so giving another one was all the best Konami can do but it fit very well. Really a badass character with badass voice both English and Japanese.
@toony1232 I've also watched those episodes so many times (Jim vs Haou is one of my all time favorite duels), but I'm not gonna lie, I didn't notice it was someone else. I think I was just too excited that he's in the game, heh. The new voice actor does a great job regardless. So much fun
They gave him a unique voice line for Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo's effect, nice. And we know it's unique, not just a redo of anime dialogue, because Pachy's anime effect is completely different.

Yet Sartorius gets lines for cards that don't even exist in any shape or form. Maybe Konami got possessed by the society of light.
Notice that as well. I could see this two ways: It got too long to have them state non printed cards. Or they did not want to confuse people who seek the TCG game and the cards do not exist. Notice a significant chance Post Arc-V in character lines ( No longer Manga/ Anime cards that are not printed )
I thought he'll have unique dialogue of Canyon or wasteland which are field spells that support rock type monsters, more rock type monsters like Giant Soldier of Stone, Pot of Avarice (which he has in his hand while dueling against Hassleberry) and Call of the Haunted (which was destroyed while not activated due to Hassleberry's trap card)
I'll always associate Canyon with my dread facing Jim in Tag Force 2 because it means I'm on a timer before he activated the Field Spell and softlocked the game.
His Japanese VA retired during GX to focus on music and his English VA was never really much of an actor, he’s a vocal coach and is busy working on way more high profile stuff than this. At least they got two pretty good replacements
I missed his event in Duel Links :( I just started the game again. But I love to have him back. He's a amazing character. Sad that he wasn't in season 4 at all.. Also.. that sprites 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I came here to see if I was the only one who noticed his Japanese voice didnt sound the same as the anime. Based on the comments I guess I wasnt crazy. Quite sad, I wanted Jim in the game since the beginning, unfortunate that they couldnt use his original voice. Jim was great.
this has the same energy as Anna Kaboom not having a line for the rank 4 number she used. it's very strange that this kind of thing has been more common. At least Jim had more lines than Rio does i suppose.

I immediately recognized it wasn't his OG VA. God knows how many times I have replayed the Haou Judai Arc (in Japanese, English and Spanish)

I love the attention to detail in putting in the SFX, from Shirley's growls to Jim’s finger snap when Skullgios attacks.
Funny thing is that Karen (Shirley) has her original Voice.
