This is an awesome tiny-house apartment built on an NYC Roof. You get a roof deck, crazy view, and 2 floors.. just like a real tiny house. The only issue is this Tiny House apartment doesnt have a tiny price tag to go with it…

Let me get this straight: 6800 bucks for a one-bedroom apartment AND it's on the sixth floor of a walk-up? Look, I don't care how modern the apartment is, how many amenities it has, or where it's located - that's absolutely outrageous. Yeah, I mean, it's a nice unit and all, but that rent is borderline criminal. The sad thing is, I know someone will pay it.

That, and the price has gone up by an exorbitant amount in 2 years. I'm sorry, but having a wine fridge and a sink sprayer aren't enough amenities to warrant that. But people in NYC seem to have different priorities than I do. (And more money. 😜)

I know Cash always tries to look on the bright side, but really, $6770 for this place, a 6th floor walk up, with a terribly cramped kitchen (no counter space for even a coffee machine)), a tiny bedroom also with no space for any personal belongings, etc. I'm sure someone will rent it--after all, it does have a sink sprayer and a medicine cabinet--but it still is criminally expensive...

6:40 No. No! No one in their right mind wants a bedroom where others have to walk through to get to a shared space.
8:10 That kitchen looks like its the exact same as your previous Creepy Town House video and I do mean exact. Exact same fridge, cabinets colors, 2 handle pulls, pull out drawer above the sink, even the beverage cooler. Trim is also an exact copy of flint blocks, flutes, and roseries door casings, exact bathroom tile design, even the opaque glass door to the bedroom and door handles are all the exact same. Looks like someone hired 1 contractor to do multiple apartments and they purchased everything in bulk to make a profit.

    • @rtd1791
      @rtd1791 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I don’t understand what the problem is. What’s wrong with waiting for clothes to dry? You have to wait regardless of how you dry your clothes--line or a separate unit. For most people, according to the how to get life done experts, washing, drying, folding, and putting your clothes away before starting a new load results in a tidier home and less stress.
I think most people wait too long to do laundry and then there are many loads to do. But if you just make it a habit, laundry is going while you are cooking or watching a movie or even while you are out. All in one units mean you don’t have to worry about wet clothes sitting.
I got rid of a stacked unit and replaced it with a single unit when I remodeled my condo. I’m delighted with it. I gained significant functionality. My place is just under 1100 square feet and had neither a broom nor a utility closet. I combined the laundry alcove with my bathroom. Now I have storage for cleaning supplies and tools.
When I had my home appraised earlier this year I was told the laundry room & bathroom remodel added about 10k to my condo. Apparently no one really likes doing their laundry in a hallway. I don’t live in NYC, so maybe that makes a difference.

You could get some large hooks from Ikea to hang the folded stools above the area you suggested for a dropdown table if you needed them out of the way. @@amywalker7515 The cost if living here is better than some places. Our gas avg. is $3.49 gallon. But some wages are still behind the cost of living, so we have many people here having trouble as well. It's crazy everywhere, some places worse than others. I truly feel for folks.

just realized you always post your videos at exactly the same time, 3:39pm (in my timezone) is that on purpose or is that just a crazy coincidence?

Likely intentional, you can queue videos to upload at a specific time.

Was gonna say “first” but looks like there’s already a bunch of comments. We moved out of NYC a year ago, and your videos are making us miss it so much! Keep up the amazing work!

I used to worry that regular folk might be hating on tiny house bathrooms because they tend to be small (mine sure is) but after seeing this claustrophobic mess of a shower (I mean, it's one wall short of being a casket)---I also used to be so surprised at tiny houses costing 50-60k to build, but again, after seeing this 6750 monthly calf-builder... I'm good with my tiny, let's all be proud of our vans, box trucks, bike campers, whatever--because honestly, this apartment is just hiway robbery with extra mirrors.

I love to watch your show! Love the apts even the dark ones! I’m in Miami and the rents are getting as pricey as New York! Happy New Year for you and your family!

NY taxes are the reason I don't live upstate, or anywhere at all in NYS.

I think I watch videos about NYC apartments just to be amazed at how little outdoor space they have to themselves. I have a big lawn. Love it. Also things I couldn't live with are noise, weird closets and, all the weird areas. Why do people choose to live on top of each other?

The location is great but a 6 story walkup? I lived in a 5 story walkup for a year it was not fun.
