So THIS is the Toph and Zuko life changing adventure.
Yup it took a while but here it is
Underrated comment
I thought I was the only one who thought plus with tea involved which makes it better.
At last 😂
LMAO you beat me to it
Mark Hamill for the finale would be crazy
Yes please. I was thinking the exact same thing.
The crazy thing is I bet he'd absolutely do it if he had time. He seems like such a chill dude and he genuinely loves Avatar and the messages it portrays.
I would love that Luke and Toph react on the finale
that would be absolutely the craziest thing, oh my god
@@alexo_pog indeed
Was waiting for Dante to say, "Hello, Zuko here". There's still time ~
'that's rough buddy'
He's done that a lot, so it would probably feel dated, I think.
hahahah
next time you gotta have him open with that XD@@michaelamostly
He had an interview with Dallas Liu (Netflix’s Zuko) a week or two ago. Check it out and see what happens.
Toph is finally getting that life changing adventure with Zuko. Very fitting tea is involved too.
see, Toph got her awesome moment with the original, Iroh. the rest of the Gaang get their moments with Zuko, because they don't get it with Iroh himself.
Just make sure Toph makes the tea. Neither of them is surviving if Zuko makes it XD
Its funny hearing Zukos voice talk with Dante's mannerisms 😂
I imagine if Zuko ever smoked weed he'd act like Dante.
Nah he just needs cactus juice😂@@RJALEXANDER777
lol
Anytime dante talks i can't help but imagine it's jake long or ruffio 😄
@isaiahedmonson5832 All great characters! Rufio was my first of his characters and Zuko being the first of his VA roles
Dante starting a TEA company. Coincidence I think not. Uncle iroh would be proud 😎
right!!!
Wait is that true?!?!
@@michaelamostlyI’m a dog too! I was born in August of 94.
I love the fact that out of all the guests so far, Dante seems the most invested in actually watching the episode 😂
dude right, bro was not paying attention to anything else lol
I think he was just baked.
@@CrownRock1 He could've been a little. He slipped on some words and sentences XD
@@CrownRock1 bro was definitely hella baked with that whole Tea history hahahaha I loved it, bro was more baked than a burnt brownie 🤣

llmao dante was so focused on zuko when he appeared on screen he was not paying attention to anything else love that
hahaha we love it
Hearing Dante still sound like Zuko after all these years brings a smile to my face.
I’m close to his age. I was around 30 when this show came out. He not wrong. He still sounds just like Rufio from Hook.
I love that at the end of the episode Aang and zuko are sworn to secrecy and then immediately go tell the rest of the group. 😂
Alternate Title: Toph and Zuko’s Life Changing Adventure
The ATLA cast is singlehandedly keeping the series and the fandom active to this day.
One of the fans still rewatching the show...... Really a classic.
Dante Basco literally doesn't age.
I just love how much he clearly loves this show, and how fucking proud he is to be a part of it.
I can understand their perspective. At the time they were just reading lines, probably in bulk. They weren't able to go back and see everything in context, and how amazing the show really is
dante watching the episode like he never seen it before 🤣
This is pretty much how their "life-changing" trip went in the finale. Toph talking about things and Zuko just being like "yeah.... um, let's just focus on finding the Avatar (watching the episode)".
Most celebrities dont watch the material they are in
bro was so cooked lmaoo
My kid started watching this show before I did, and they were a kid at the time. But once they saw the episode when Zuko betrayed Iro and sided with Azula, they just said, "Dad....you MUST watch this show" And they were right. It's a fantastic show. It was written for kids, but was absolutely excellent. And Zuko's story arc absolutely made this show.
Honestly it was made for Kids and Adults
Same here and Tara strong I think starred in another show on Disney called American Dragon Jake long cartoon it’s was a long time ago but they were great in that too
really need someone to animate Zuko saying "incase of emergency breakdance" and "sokka listen bro its called breakdancing." thank you for the episode.
The fact that Zuko started a tea company and it's named after his Hook character and not Uncle Iroh 🤣🤣
Toph is finally getting her field trip😁
It’s been decades zuko let’s go toph smiles 😂
Zuko failing to firebend reminds me of a funny meme.
Book 1 & 2 Zuko: Boss character
Team Avatar Zuko: 2:25 When the boss is now the unlockable playable character. 😂
@lilunette9319 the avatar is too op that's why he's banned in tournaments
Zuko is Minthara
Azusa’s blue flames are a visual representation of her dedication to perfectionism. She, unlike Zuko, thrives at being a perfectionist. Of course it inevitably catches up with her. She is the only one that ever displays blue flames because of how devoted she was to perfecting them. Even the various Avatars never showed that level of dedication to perfection.
Scientifically speaking a blue flame is hotter, a “perfect” flame. Blue is even hotter than white.
I really think Jeong Jeong understood and talked about all this - fire is alive, the sun is in perfect balance
He was just traumatized from war seeing how it can also fall out of balance
"Flameo hotman"
Some say there's no such thing as a perfect end to a video
Love Dante, he's awesome. So glad he made a return as General Iroh in Legend of Korra.
"his flame's small" *if you guys know what i mean* *ba dum tiss* That was beautiful
I always think and asked myself like "how would it be if Zukos fire would look like the dragons fire after this episode"
Dante Basco ALWAYS sounds like Dante Basco, that is how he can be recognized in anything he voices! He also legit looks exactly the same from when he played Rufio
the zuko field trip she didn't know she needed.
I love this episode! The Aztec were in central mexico and the Mayans were on the southern region of Mexico. The Aztec did worship a dragon god named Quetzalcoatl. There's carvings and statues at the pyramids of Teotihuacan. 🐉
I thought he was a snake?
@@potatoesdeterre well you thought wrong buddy. His name means feathered serpent/flying reptile. 🐉
@@nathancanaan102 Snake with feathers.
@@superblahman 🐉
LES GOOO. DANTE IS HERE! Love him! Always seems pretty chill!
he's awesome!!
After meeting the Firebending Masters, I think Zuko no longer does any of his angry grunting whenever he firebends.
I kinda wish he had a bit of that rainbow firebending as well, but still very cool.
Dragons: can you break it down as to why you deserve to learn?
Zuko and aang: *proceed to break it down*
Fr tho I love how Dante is just so into the show nothing else exists lmao poor Michaele just wants to talk about her tea and he's just glued to the screen hahahaha
I absolutely love these episodes and watching them while having my tea 🌱✨🤍
so glad you can join us!!
I don’t think Aang could take the dragons without the Avatar state, but compared to Zuko, he could quickly escape.
YOOO, First guest from the Gaang! It would be so sick if Mae Whitman or Jack De Sena shows up later, water tribe rep!
Edit: CALLED IT!
Not the first. She had Azula on first just go get the point across that Azula always comes before Zuko lmao.
Lmao I love that 😂
@@gabblebabbles2017 But Azula didn't join the Gaang, I think that is what Tobey meant with the comment
@@pistazieneis415 My bad, I skimmed their comment earlier before work so I wasn't paying attention to that.
It's him! Dante Basco! 🤩
Mindblown Zuko and Toph VA are 18 years apart and both born on August 🤣
Lol, I love how he got so into the show, he didn't pay attention to someone actually talking to him
I would love to see Dante in the live action show as a part of the division that Zuko saved he was in The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra it would be cool to see him in all three TV shows
Zuko - your voice is a gift! LOVE you so much!
You were close with aardvark dogs! They're aardvark SLOTHS! That dragon scene is just so cool with the spiraling flames in different colors, the chants from the credits, and the dragons dancing with Zuko and Aang...all that combined is chef's kiss. When Aang gets given the flame to hold and says, “it’s like a little heartbeat” is a great moment of this journey to understand firebending as more than “the thing bad guys do”. I really feel like I understand the same thing he does in that moment.
My favorite thing about this episode is that through learning the true nature of Firebending, Zuko and Aang learn the Dancing Dragon form. Zuko saying "I understand" in that scene is one of the most beautiful scenes in that show. The entire Dancing Dragon form is based off the real life Long Ying Mo Kui, the traditional Southern Dragon kung-fu style. The key to unlocking the secret of Firebending was a dance. Remember in the Headband how no one in the Fire Nation knew how to dance, and actively tries to stop it from happening? Kind of poetic. Iroh not actually killing the last dragon goes to show you Iroh cares not only about humans but also wildlife as well. What a compassionate being that Zuko is lucky to have
Some people saying that Dragon... no. East Dragon are real. But the east dragon has shape shifting ability. So nobody would know that dragon exists.
RUFIO RUFIO RU-FI-OOOOOO!!
"You are the Pan."
I did not realize it’s the same actor! Damn. Pan is more of a Gen X thing (my tribe.) Last Airbender is way more of a Millennial jam, although it’s on my bucket list now. Nice to see some cross-over representation!
Never knew he was ruffio until now he was perfect in that movie
Bangarang!
Toph having tea with Zuko. Love it.
Does that tea taste good?🤷🏿♂️
Dante better get a cameo appearance in live action ATLA. It would he a huge huge missed opportunity if he didn't.
I can’t just pick one episode as the best. The entire series as a whole is a complete tale that I simply love.
that's why we're saying "one of the best episodes". picking THE best episode seems impossible
I love that Dante is still loyal to his fictional nation. It always feels fun seeing actors get so into the worlds they work in.
Dante's voice never changed. Zuko in the house!
as a 26 year old who would rush home in 3rd grade to watch avatar every day on nick, thank YOU michaela for providing content like this…the kid in me is so excited watching yall react to what basically built my childhood PLEASE keep it up hahah
"Red dragon! Red dragon!"
Pretty sure that's just the American Dragon in him cheering for that scene.
(Yes, that's Jake Long's VA for those who don't know.)
Dante is looking legendary for being almost 50.
Its so refreshing to see Voice actors meet eachother sometimes, there has to be some kind of friendship while acting
Sun Warrior tells them not to tell anyone, and next scene shows them telling everyone😂
Just occurred to me that Dante was about the same age when he voice Zuko that Michaela is now…
So
@@DeadPiixxel They probably wanted to point out how fast time flies.
Love how he talks as if he's zuko.. who am I kidding he is zuko!
This was the best episode to have Dante on but we missed the classic "that's rough buddy" moment by 1 episode.
I love how Dante and Mae were also filming American Dragon during Book 1, if I remember correctly
Yassss I was waiting on that American dragon was my show him and rose were so do cute I would love if they made a live action movie and zuko and Mae did a cameo
My Chinese zodiac sign is a snake! The Water Tribe jersey has Katara! In soccer/association football, in the early era of Chinese football, the number 0 was often assigned to a substitute goalkeeper, but the number 0 doesn't necessarily mean goalkeeper. However, it's a very non-traditional number since in most leagues, players are assigned a number between 1 and 99, with a few exceptions. Moroccan player Hicham Zerouali famously wore 0 on his jersey as a play on words with his last name. The ancient Sun Warrior city and culture was inspired by a combination of different cultures. The ancient city's architecture was based off Mayan architecture as well as the ziggurats of Mesopotamia in what's now Iraq.
The culture was primarily based off the Mayans and Aztecs of Mexico as these civilizations were sun worshipers and careful observers of astrological movement. The eternal flame references different religions like Catholicism (as Dante mentioned) as well as the Hebrew Bible's altar flame. The warriors also have a shofar, a musical horn made from ram's horn used to announce religious ceremonies in Judaism. The tribe's clothing is reminiscent of traditional Southeast/South Asian warrior attire, particularly the headdress of the leader, which resembled Iban (from Borneo) feather headdresses, while their pants resemble the Indian dhoti. Their chants during the ceremony (the same chants from the credits) were based on Indonesian monkey chant
I think when we get to Sozin's Comet, you should bring the entire gaang and have a watch party and watch the entire thing cause I feel like you can't just stop between each episode during that final battle!
YES. DANTE IS HERE!!! LIFE CHANGING FIELD TRIP ACCOMPLISHED ❤❤❤
Without going into too much detail, I can genuinely say that Zukos story saved my life. Loved this episode
In my head canon: during the final part of their Agni Kai, Azula and Zuko swap colors. The part when their fires are almost burning each other at the sides. Super Carlin Bros.(Ben) explains how Azula is the most PERFECT firebender. However, here Zuko and Aang learn the TRUE MEANING of firebending. Plus, Azula is having a mental breakdown, and I think that extra small detail would just add more fuel to her own mental fire.
Netflix could do this for the life action remake, I hope they are taking notes on Fan suggestions
Haha, Dante looks like an extra from original series Star Trek for some reason. I know my eyes are bad and partially colorblind, but it looks like the gold series command uniforms lol.
Thank you for subtitles and not YT CC. Someone with auditory processing struggles its very helpful
Toph and Zuko going on a tea-bender after Iroh died as a way to pay their respects would make for a banger Toph and Zuko adventure (which we still need)
It’s so cool to see you guys still so invested in the show even though it’s been so long. Everyone was phenomenal in their voice acting, big fan ❤
This episode will always have a special place in my heart.
The scene of Zuko learning and embracing true firebending is my favorite in the entire series. This episode is about change, life and choice, it's about perspective, destiny, and finding yourself. This is just a beautiful episode, created with love and passion for its characters and their legacy, just like most if not all other ATLA episodes.
And of course, seeing Dante Basco is always a pleasure.
Love the dragon reveal part when Dante was adding comments to it like he was Zuko. Hilarious!
What I always love about this episode is it shows that dancing is a key element to firebending. It puts the footloose episode from earlier in the season in a whole new perspective, showing how far the fire nation has strayed from the original source of firebending.
We appreciate you guys so much. Thank you for everything you guys do for us and bless you and your loved ones!
This is one of my favorite episodes, the first time seeing Zuko and Aang having quality brother time
I just also realized how the tea is so colorful, just like the dragons fire.
Good to see the homie Dante...hes looking fresh nd clean. And also...I need to know his secret to stayin that fresh and clean.
I love hearing your voice all these years later and still hearing your voice for Toph within it. The red suits you very well madam ^_^
Lol i love how much Dante is into the episode AND the TEA😂❤
HOT LEAF JUICE
I’d love to see Dante and Zack doing the dragon dance irl. That would be amazing. Love seeing original cast getting back together, especially for something fun like a react. Their interactions are so great. Part of why I love braving the elements so much
As an older brother, “get your own fire” speaks to me on so many levels 😂
The way you brought up about him burning your feet like it really happened is so cute and awesome, the small details 🥹👌🏻
We finally got the life changing field trip for Toph with Zuko!
I love how they’re also big fans of the show.
Dante!! Was a fan since you were RUFIOOOO!
The reason the tea was so beautifully diverse in its colors was to reflect the moment Aang and Zuko are engulfed in the flames.
The entire video I was expecting Dante to go “Dragon Up!” at some point. He missed a golden opportunity there.
Good people in the fire nation.
Been a fan of Dante Basco since Hook.
Bangarang!!!!!
My wife and I got to meet him at Salt Lake FanX in '22, it was such a memorable experience. 11/10 would DEFINATELY do again.
Thank you Dante Basco for being in so many Last Airbender-related TH-cam shows. Tea Time With Toph, Channel Awesome’s best/worst Avatar episodes, and your recent Braving the Elements podcast.
This has been an awesome little peak behind the curtain
I definitelly agree with you both about rewatching the show. I grew up on the show and I rewatch it a few times a year as an adult, and every single time I learn something new, and gain a new perspective on life. Truely the best show ever created.
I love Dante. I hear Zuko so clearly when I close my eyes, but the second I see him...RUFFIO RUFFIO! RU-FI-OOOoo!
I love that you guys are friends and hang out. It’s been so fun enjoying all the nostalgia, and everybody getting excited about Avatar again. I was in middle school when the show was on, and it was one of the only times my brothers and I would share the tv without arguing 😂😂 it all just makes me so happy 💜
It is very amazing that we ATLA fans, had gotten to see the voice actors of Toph and Zuko reunite. The prince of the Fire Nation and the Blind Bandit, had finally gotten to go on their life changing adventure.
The reunion we’ve all been waiting for! Seriously, one of our favorite episodes 🤩 love seeing your reactions & getting together again. So nostalgic 🥹🫶🏼
it's so funny how he's so focused on the episode while she describes the tea lmao
I can't stop smiling through out this whole video.
there are so many times where you still sound like Toph!
IT IS REWATCHABLE!!! saw this series 4 times!!!
Awww yay, you get your proper field trip with Zuko!
Hey, we finally got that Toph/Zuko episode.
I fucking love Dante Basco ever since Hook. He's amazing and would love to see him in more stuff.
