Woodturning a simple Christmas tree

It's that time of year again! This is a quick and easy Christmas tree with a modern twist!
Using only a parting tool, spindle roughing gouge, and a bowl gouge, (to get a smooth finish).
Not much sanding is needed with this design either!

I also like leaving the natural wood bark on the base of the tree. Looks very nice. You inspired me to make one like yours.

I believe that if you use green wood when making a tree like this, if you make the sections narrow enough, that when drying the sections would warp and twist adding a whole different look.
Might be something to try!
