Been watching you for a bit. I'm 30. I used to ride bmx a lot in my teens and probably stopped around 21. About 3 years ago I bought a bmx again. It was something that still interested me. Found out very quickly that I wasn't the kid I thought I was & used to be. Hit the deck a few times. So it got stashed in the shed. Fast forward 18 months. I couldn't stop daydreaming about riding. So I bought a mtb. Been riding it a lot at some of the local trails. About 6 months ago for a laugh a dragged the bmx out of the shed just to ride it on some of the real easy trails. A lot of confidence and skill had come back. 2 weeks ago I went to the local skate park. Although I'm no were as good as I was when I was younger. Still no tricks. Just riding the park, dropping in, coming out, small jumps and air, pumping the ramps. No one could of taken that smile off my face. Look forward to the new series and keep up the good work.
The mtb teaches you how to handle a bigger bike, so I'm excited to see how that translates to BMX. We're the same age, and I probably stopped around the same time as you.
Im a competition mtb trials rider. Two tips: -Brake with only one finger, this will make hopping en paddle kicks much easyer. -Try to paddle kick off of high ledges and drops. This video series is great. Keep it up.
When I found an old MTB in the garage, the first thing wanted to do was do street tricks since I live in the city. I searched through TH-cam on MTB tricks, and there wasn't that much .. and then I landed on your early video on how to MTB bunny hop (< 500 views back then). Throughout months of practice from your help, I decided that I was willing to dish out for a street BMX. Although, most of your new videos are towards MTB, i always watched every video because it was really informative... Wanna Say Thanks ! You were one of my early inspiration. I would have not be trying to tricks if I never saw your video. Cant wait for the new series ! Sry for bad english.
Okay, im stoked af about the new series ^^ But the trials series was also pretty helpful for me, especially the hopping tutorials and the drop tutorial. I hope you keep up the good work :) Greetings from Germany :)
I look forward to your following videos. I am currently trying to get a hang on basics, like bunny hop and manual. Thanks to your (and some other) tutorials I have figured out a technique and the right way to improve it, because everything I've ever done before was completely wrong.
Sweet!! Perfect timing, I just went to an indoor bike park here in Portland called the Lumberyard with a bike rental and realized how much I missed BMX! Was the first time I had been on one since grade school but could still remember how to jump things and even got to manualing transitions before I left. Definitely looking into getting a bike!
Up until now you videos were more than helpful and entertaining.I hope you keep up the good work ! PS: Allthough i ride a mountain bike i will still watch your videos :)
I have no internist in riding BMX. But I am such a Seth's Bike Hacks fanboy, I cant wait for this series lol. Keep up the great videos, man. Hope you dont stress too much about putting up new content. Do you first, man. We will always be here ready to watch. ps. is there anything we can do to support your channel besides subscribing? Happy Holidays, Joey
Since you don't use it anymore you should do a giveaway with the trials bike. Pity my bike hasn't got a front brake! Its a dirt jumper. Nevertheless I've almost mastered the European bunny hop and track Stand!
As an all-mountain rider i bought a street mtb when i wanted to start riding street and park, i think i made the perfect choice, that's my advice ^^ But your Inspired is pretty much the same bike as my street mtb (NS Holy 2) except for the geometry and the brakes (24'/rigid/single speed/brakeless). Anyway i'm very stocked about the new series !
+Dédé LABINOUZE A street MTB is the funnest object in existence in my opinion. It really is a bit different than that Inspired, which I honestly don't find as fun as my mountain bike. A fully rigid steel hardtail would do the trick.
hell ya bmx. thats what i ride, im so toked i want to know bike geometry and how to make your bike more usable for a bigger person. Like a tall front end. hell ya man good job.
Could you do a buyer's guide style video for the BMX series. Thinking about getting into BMX alongside MTBing and road biking. But hey I am a college student so my budget is tighter then a...ok lets not get to much into detals ;) You get the idea :P
What gearing do you use on your trials bike? Im trying trials on my 4x bike, but i think its just too heavy. So im thinking of building my ownw trials bike. Thanks!
Can you do things like this in a normal mounting bike or do you recommend getting a trials bike but I still want to ride trails and I only want one bike please help
Hey,man after performing mtb street trials I feel a lot of pain in my whole body... especially in the waist and thigh joint... Any recovery suggestion???? By the way you're tutorial videos are working greatly for me.. Thank You.
Thanks! Yes, trials is hard on your body. In my experience it goes away as your body gets accustomed to it, but this series has beaten me up pretty good. Right now I'm doing a BMX tutorial series and my body doesn't hurt nearly as much as with trials, if that is any indicator. Make sure to hydrate a lot, and also focus on using your legs and arms instead of your waist. This is the same for if you were lifting boxes all day.
Hey Seth. I'm trying to find a trials bike. Yes I have a normal mountain bike but I find it heavy and too clunky for most street riding. Never the less I would like to get a trails bike that is decent sized (pref 24" but 20" would be ok) but is within a decent price range. What do you think I should do? I'm kinda stumped.
Unfortunately most of your options will be online, and at a fair expense. To be honest I rarely put time into trials since nobody else I know does it, so personally I'd prefer a dirt jumper or really nimble hardtail for riding street. If you really are looking to do trials, maybe Ebay would be a good bet for something decent and used.
I already have a hardtail that i ride as my main mountain bike and recently picked up a bmx. Still trying to get fakie's down but as soon as i learn how to roll ill be watching your 360 tutorial Seth's Bike Hacks
+ahmadizz izz Proper? lol. For me, a hardtail will always be proper. Someday maybe I'll add an FS to the lineup, but I'm still lusting after my next hardtail.
Hey man I'm 14 and I've been riding mtbikes but lately I've been into the dirt jump scene and I was wondering if you've had any experience in it and if you do it be cool to get some advice from an avid rider like you
Since you're mostly riding bigger bikes now why don't you consider 26" Dirt Jump/Street bike instead of a 20". I'd be way more interested in watching you toss that around.
+Seth's Bike Hacks One of the DJ bikes that accept derailleurs (like my Santa Cruz Jackal) would be sick for what you do. Enough gear range to get around town easily and still shift down for trials type riding, but with the aggressive geometry for riding park/manuals/tricks. Stoked about your BMX segment though!
You're 100% right, but I'm just getting this bike for the channel for fun, and then probably getting rid of it or giving it to someone I know... unless I somehow gave time to ride it on a normal basis. Eventually I'll be building the ultimate fully rigid DJ for street.

Thanks!

Hell yes!!!! I just got into bmx and your my favorite person for tutorials
So true that you learn more teaching than being taught.
+No no It really is... you need to think about it hard and break it down into steps.
+No no, yep! it is my favorite way to learn!
thanks for the heads up I will enjoy the series
Looking forward to the next video.
Up until now you videos were more than helpful and entertaining.I hope you keep up the good work !

@Seth's Bike Hacks But will it have any brakes? That's the main question.
yess!!!! BMX!!! i was planning to get a bmx
I was just wondering, what gear ratio do you use on your trials bike? I'm thinking of building a trials bike myself. Thanks!
What bike do you have.?? In this video??
inspired fourplay
What gearing do you use on your trials bike? Im trying trials on my 4x bike, but i think its just too heavy. So im thinking of building my ownw trials bike. Thanks!
You should do a bloopers video some day. I'm sure even pros have their off days.
cool and the music was interesting lol just be cautious out there bro, were not as young as we once were lol
Yeah I hear that... I'm not gonna be messing around with handrails, or anything involving taking hands and feet off the bike. Too old for that shit.
+Seth's Bike Hacks When will the first BMX episode start and which one do you like more MTB VS Trials VS BMX?
yay well I am a DH mountain biker but I do bmx so this is gonna be fun!
Could you do a tutorial on how to do one handed wheelie plz?
Can you do things like this in a normal mounting bike or do you recommend getting a trials bike but I still want to ride trails and I only want one bike please help
Where can I buy a trials bike like yours ? 🤔
where would be a good place to get a street trials bike?

is the giant atx 27.5 good for all this series?

Awesome. But PLEASE use another soundtrack for the next series.
Seth when are you going to have a proper trail bike. A full suspension one?
+ahmadizz izz Proper? lol. For me, a hardtail will always be proper. Someday maybe I'll add an FS to the lineup, but I'm still lusting after my next hardtail.
Yes do it. And upload them quickly

Hey man I'm 14 and I've been riding mtbikes but lately I've been into the dirt jump scene and I was wondering if you've had any experience in it and if you do it be cool to get some advice from an avid rider like you

I miss my BMX. (I'm 42).

So.... will you maybe give your bike just wondering
Hi seth can you please please please please make more bmx videos
i see squirrel hopping
Do you want to sell the Inspired Forplay trials bike? I live in Coral Springs. I'd be happy to take it off of your hands.
He gave it to Eric Porter in exchange for a DJ bike.
@@xx-----------xx873 Thanks
go to custom riders site and look for bmx
Yea, BMX.
why bmx not dirt ? :D
Because I'd need dirt jumps for that
Since you're mostly riding bigger bikes now why don't you consider 26" Dirt Jump/Street bike instead of a 20". I'd be way more interested in watching you toss that around.
Well I'd like that a lot more, but to do a proper BMX series I need the right bike. In the future it would be fun to do an ultimate urban mtb build.
No more mtb ?
Lol this is a mountain bike channel, so that's not going anywhere. I'll just be building a series of BMX videos for fun.
Hey Seth GIVE ME your trials bike
Get a Dirt Jumper instead of a bmx! so many more uses
You're 100% right, but I'm just getting this bike for the channel for fun, and then probably getting rid of it or giving it to someone I know... unless I somehow gave time to ride it on a normal basis. Eventually I'll be building the ultimate fully rigid DJ for street.
Oh okay nice!! Anyway love your channel!!

Wait wait wait... U discovered this a few years back. And u bought a 3000 plus dollar bike. Yet ur MTB, which u ride often, is sub 1000...
