I got the 2018 about a week and a half ago. It's a really amazing bike. Already at 1100 miles. Baught it new with 2 miles. Massive upgrade over my 05/06 636. Smooth as hell and very manageable power. Gotta flash ecu to gain autoblip down, but that's coming. I got videos coming soon. But overall, very happy with my purchase. Incredible bike.

How do you work with the ECU? Yourself or someone else? Also is auto blipdown the clutchless downshift or something else? Thanks :)
@@adamadam6351 ship it to a company who knows what they are doing. for example i am going to get mine flashed by schnitz racing. And yes, auto blip is clutchless downshifting.

Corey DRIZZLE whatup dude i can definitely recommend getting the ecu flashed to unlock the blipper as ive done it myself with my 2016 winter ❄️ edition and it works absolutely amazing 😉 so definitely get that flash 👍🏻👍🏻Adam 🏴

Do a few front wheel stands to get the new brake pads to bite. You can soften the front and rear suspension for street riding. Good review for non track riders.

Just a heads up on this awesome bike , the brakes really get better at around 7 to 10 thousand kilometres, and after a ecu flash mine got 207 hp, but mines also the euro version

Dude its a zero miles bike of course the brakes didnt bite well.. u need few hundred miles then it will perform its true braking..
Not even, the zx6r has better stopping power with 0 miles on it. And I rode two of them with 0 miles and they had better bite then the 10. Just disappointed in the brembos is all.
@@FRJohnny777 yes and no. Thought the same thing, but they really do break in. I'm at over 1k miles and they now break extremely well.

Breaks even with hh sintered street pads are not as aggressive as I wish they were. I’m upgrading my master cylinder to see if I get what I’m looking for out of that.

got 1 beginners questions, if turn on the bike from Neutral and go to first gear do i need to squeeze the clutch and slowly release it like a normal bike?

Stock suspension settings are too stiff. Check your body weight and adjust it based on your weight
Which sits you up more, the 10 or the 6? Hire about flat footing... which is easier?

Looking at how they are doing in sbk... they might have already started redesigning the bike for 2020...
If they redesign anything it better be the dam dash. Yamaha did it in 2015, Suzuki & honda did it in 2017. The RR amd SE models.or 20k plus bikes with analog dashboards. Im with you though i own a 2014 right now looking at a 2019 but if in 2020 it gets a makeover ill be pissed.
@@kawilifezx10r23 look into AIM mx10 i believe it is. it's a dash just for the zx10r, with nice features. On my list after i get my exhaust... which might not be for a while lol.
@@vali69 just hope they 2021 gets any changes. I am upset they updated the dash on the Ninja 650 to a pretty TFT display but didn't think to bring it to the ninja 400 and the ZX-6R. Price wise I can see why the zx6r was skipped over since it was just released a year ago and built into a narrow price point. I highly expect the unreleased Z650 and z900 will get the much needed dash updated as they are probably higher priorities.

can i ask something, is the quickshifter requires speed to use the quickshifter or can you use it at any speed on the tachometer

There's a couple of things I don't like about the ZX10R for me, the tail of the previous gen looked way better in my opinion. That X style tail/light is not that good looking for me. The gauge cluster is an eye sore. For the price it looks outdated. Wish it had a color digital dash and finally it really needs an actual fuel gauge. Love the overall look though. All the liter bikes are looking beautiful.

Kawasaki doesn't need to change the looks of the zx10 they just need to enhance the engine performance even more than they already have adding more quicker acceleration to get the bike out of corners quicker other than that the zx10 handles corners phenomenally!
Well I think unlocking the ecu and giving it a flash makes it outperform phenomenally. There is even more performance out of the 2019 than the 2018 with the new engine updates once the ecu is unlocked.
So I have a 636 05 wanting a zx 10r for my first 1000 is it worth it looking for my answear in the comments this wont be for another year or 2
November 23rd kawi unveils there new bikes and updated versions zx-10r is one of them 🤪

If you dont ring a new bike out a little bit on its run in process you can end up with a potentially slower bike than it should be!

I have and love my zx14. But the zx10r is beautimouse!
I am a kawa man with a Z1000sx/Ninja 1000 and a KLR650 but if I want to buy a super bike it will be the Suzuki GSXR1000R. It's just a better feel for a tall guy like me and the gsxr developed more for 2020. Sorry Kawa, but your cousin manufacture more up to date bike at this moment with better ergonomics for taller riders.

I can’t remember exactly but I believe the throttle has to be closed or the bike has to be stopped

You can change tc on the 19 while moving, even stock ecu.
They still have not updated the dash screen for 2020. Other than that, this bike is the best bang for the buck.
But when they do update it......this will be the best bike for the buck period.
They need to but the 2020 ninja 650 dash display on all the 2021 bike going out

It doesn't have true Brembo. Only the calipers. Master cylinder is not from Brembo. That is why it is not as good. However, if you get a bike with true Brembo like the Panigale, they are fantastic.
EDIT: my gsxr 750 has Brembo calipers only. Which is cool because it will full some people to think it has top shelf braking system. The gsxr not a full Brembo system. So, the brakes are just meh. But, a full Brembo system is amazing.

Zx10r should upgrade its power parts, ducati is just leading due to its engine power and yamaha are catching up on kawasaki in power and cornering performance.

They don’t. Brembo normally nails it but they did not feel like they should of on this zx10. I don’t like saying it myself trust me but my zx6 bites better then these

It has been winner of SBK races all the time until the new ducati panigale v4. You have no clue what you are talking about. It is an excellent machine. Obviously kawasaki will respond because of the panigale v4. So expect a redesigned ZX10R in the near future.
@@EyeForKnowledge. I don't even know what you mean by "old and tired". By your logic the new zx6r is way better looking, since you are basing looks on age. The current zx10r is a much better looking machine than that bike and the h2.
