    Dress came out very pretty. I love vintage things. My wedding dress was a vintage dress I got from a Thrift store for $10. It had a high neck with long sleeves and some ugly beading. I had a friend fix it for me. I didn't change much of the dress except instead of a high neck I wanted a boat neck. On the back I wanted a V shape and of course to shorten the dress length a bit so it would not be too long. I also had the beading taken off. The dress was beautiful and one of a kind. I wanted some sparkle, but didn't have the time to add it to my dress so I just bought a pretty sash with some sparkle and add it to the dress. It was a perfect touch.

    Liked sooo many things about this video, you always outdo yourself every single time! 1. Very refreshing to see a wedding dress style that is more modest and not strapless. 2. Love the way that you gave a reality check about expectations regarding the fabric after you take an old dress apart. 3. Reinforcing the chiffon with the other fabrics to give the outer dress a proper structure, that one is the hardest one to figure out how to do. Love Love Love!!

    • @ladyjunon6305
      @ladyjunon6305 5 ปีที่แล้ว +41

      No, no, no! Project Runway wouldn't help her AT ALL. I've heard lots of horrible stories and apparently, the contestants almost always fade into obscurity and the exceptions (Christian Siriano, Michael Costello, Leanne Marshall) are disliked by the industry, because it seen as a joke to entertain 'basic people'.

    • @maribelroman218
      @maribelroman218 5 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    I feel like this especially cool because you can still feel the original style of the dress! a lot of times people just use the fabric and make something new, which is fine but I feel this looks more vintagy

    All the chiffon brings back fond memories of figuring out how to sew my own wedding dress.

    I love this video!! I have a question for my own project. How do you get the bodice to lay flat once you turn it right side out? I have a bodice with 2 layers of satin and 1 interfacing layer so it is kind of bulky.
