    Looks like you disassembled this Scale 930 after delivery just to put it back together for the camera. These are all stock components, the only differences are tubeless tires and addition of pedals, so the bike can be bought ready to go as is.

      Incredible weight. 24 lb 1oz is aprox 10.9 kg. I have the same model (L size) but weight is 1 kg higher. Wtb tires TR are extremaly havy (920 g) + tube 180 g! I changed the tires for new set: continental race king race sport + Light tube (620g), but weight is still close 12 kg (with pd - m 520). Did you change any parts?

      If this is a large frame how have you dropped 1kg off the standard bike as all the parts you fitted look the same as the standard bike?

    The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.

    Hey Joe. It didn’t look like you put tape on the rims beyond what already come on. I have recently bought the same bike and put some tubeless valves and sealant, but it’s leaking around valve stem. Didn’t check the tape, assumed as the wheels are “tubeless ready” I’d be good to go. Do I need to add tape? Thanks

    • @JoesBikesUK
      @JoesBikesUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David, you are right we didn't change the tape but the tape is not always applied well so it's worth checking. We have had problems with the standard tape where it lets air passed into the rim cavity to leak around the valve as you experienced. A few manufacturers provide wheels that are tubeless ready and the tape looks like it's good to go but it's not always the case. The way around this it to take it off and fit a good quality tubeless tape instead from the outset, I hope this was helpful, cheers Joe

    I have the same bike, but the spec kinds sucks. Wheels and tires are way too heavy. I changed that first with a 1500gr wheelset, non tubeless Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires with revoloop innertubes and a Chinese onepiece (Sram style) 11-46 cassette. I upgraded the crank to XT. After that I changed to Ritchey Comp carbon seatpost and aluminium stem, Ritchey WCS carbon handlebar and grips. Tune seatpost clamp and headset cap. And as a final touch a nice Selle Italia xc ti rails saddle, some titanium bolts for the brake calipers and lightweight axles. 9.8 kg and a fine machine now. The colors on this bike made me buy it, really great combo with that classic green with champagne.

    And the lightweigth? with a spanish brand like mondraker, you can get near of 6kg. You cant get a light bike, with sponsored stock components, this is only assembly the stock bike
    My fucking god¡¡¡ this grips weights near 100gr, are you kidding me???

      and he uses shitty brake levers below alivio 🤣

    • @NiohNiohYT
      @NiohNiohYT 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do not lie, Mondrakers lightest bike is 7.84 kg stock for Podium Carbon RR SL, and Scott's flagship Scale model is 8.83 kg stock. Also sponsored stock components of Scott bikes are best in existence, their Silverton SL wheels are the lightest single piece carbon mtb 30mm wheels in the world, and with DT Swiss 180 internal hub they are also within the most reliable as well. Their Syncros fraser single piece stem and bar combo is also one of the best and lightest cockpits in existence, topping out any existing aftermarket combo with additional aero and compliance benefits. Also your lie about Mondraker is invalid as that bike is 10.000$ and this Scott 930 is low/mid 2400$. As for mondraker vs scott difference of their frames is less than 100g, Scott has HMX SL Scale frame variant that is under 900 grams, while being 2.3 times more durable in upper half than mondraker that will break like a stick if hit on the side

This is stock scale 930, and the tyres are also stock for EU and South America, and they are very heavy WTB coming at over 730 grams each. Tubeless cuts barely 50-100 grams per tyre. So how is this one kilogram lighter than all the other Scott Scale 930s? Is your scale precise?

    • @JoesBikesUK

    • @NiohNiohYT

      @@JoesBikesUK they vary sure, 11.6-11.9 is the weight without pedals with tubes, 11.4-11.7 kg tubeless, but not only you have 500-700 lighter bike, but it was WITH added pedals. Some parts do vary but that is couple of grams, we are talking here arouns 750-950 gram difference (with pedals).
      Thats HUGE, thats difference between idk 600 and 3200 $ wheels, thars difference between 400 and 1000$ fork, thats difference between all components alloy or carbon.
