Thank you and I am not sure, as small as your fingers can fold and then tie off ... but the smaller you draw a design, the more difficult it is to fold, so take your time ✌️
Is it ok if i can trying it out the Star made out of pentacle tee, because my designning for the lite star could be different, but the pentacle tee will be not matching it the same.
thank you .... and that sounds awesome... it may be tricky to fold with the fabric being so much thicker... and then getting the dye to penetrate.... if you do try it that way, I would tie it damp and then let it dry before I dyed it...... OR, I would tie it with sinew so the lines are white instead of black... then you can just make sure to saturate it well and you should have the lines... anyways, those are the tips that come to mind right now... have fun and I wish you success

I use fiber reactive Procion dyes for both kinds of dyeing... when doing liquid, I mix with water and when ice dyeing, I apply the powder to the tee and add ice .... these are the ones I buy .... www.dharmatrading.com/dyes/dharma-fiber-reactive-procion-dyes.html?lnav=dyes.html but you can get them in many places, Procion is the main thing to look for.... and with these dyes you need soda ash to activate them whether you do liquid or ice dye
a tapestry should be easier as you will have more room for your folds, I would make the pleats a little bit taller as you will be folding a longer run and you do not want them to buckle when you tie them ... have fun and I wish you success!!

Good evening Mr tie-dye! I know this video is a couple of years old but I'm just coming across it tonight. I have a friend whose birthday is coming up in about a month and she is a massive fan of the band HIM. Have you ever done a heartagram tie-dye? I mean it's pretty similar to this, except it's a combination of a heart and a pentagram. I've been looking all over the web for a tutorial, I'm certain it can be done, but I have yet to find anything. Recommendations?
wow that is a tough one to answer as I have been at this for so many years and made so many different things.... some of my favorites were the Flower of Life, an 8ft bt 9 ft tapestry with a 4ft alien beaming down from his spaceship, a Humming Bird, a 7 ft Rose, Darkside of the Moon tee and Tapestry .... oh and then the is the Quantum Scrunch that I made up myself through playing with folding ... I just love to create :-)
