Cant wait to go shopping tomorrow! I never buy much because it takes us so long to eat things. im getting asparagus tomorrow!!!

    • @TheCrossLegacy

    If you use salt to get bugs out of cauliflower and broccoli, would it not work for the berries to get bugs out instead of using vinegar? Just curious?

    • @TheCrossLegacy
      @TheCrossLegacy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I use the vinegar because it also removes the mold spores, e coli, listeria and other harmful pathogens that grow on produce items. Broc & Cauliflower don't have as much issues with mold.

    • @faithbrown9316
      @faithbrown9316 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheCrossLegacy I understand, mold is more key with berries......and two washes (one salt and another with vinegar) would be too much water for berries. Thanks!!

    Regarding draining & absorbing excess moisture once in the fridge, what is your opinion on produce containers with insertable colanders (like berry containers) or drain trays? For mason jars, would coffee filters absorb the moisture? Just thinking that the round shape might fit in nicely. I'm also curious about the need for airflow for various fruits and veggies. I'm seeing mixed information about that and have noticed that some of the store-bought containers have options for ventilating for fruits and closing for veggies. What are your thoughts about this? Thanks so much!

    • @TheCrossLegacy
      @TheCrossLegacy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Coffee filters would be a great option! I have used all sorts of containers in the past and believe that the methods I teach with glass storage is by far the best way to have safe to eat produce that lasts the longest.

    when you remove your fruits and vegetables from the vinegar water, do you always rinse them? I noticed you didn’t rinse the tomatoes and you didn’t rinse the raspberries? I have washed my strawberries and vinegar water for a long time, and I used to never rinse them and I don’t know why I ever started love your videos.

    • @TheCrossLegacy
      @TheCrossLegacy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I normally go by how dirty the bowl water if I wash them. Things like strawberries and lettuce I always rinse afterwards, and items like peppers and cucumbers I hardly ever rinse.

    • @lisadeluca5714
      @lisadeluca5714 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheCrossLegacy gotcha. I guess I was under the impression that if you don't rinse the vinegar off it keeps degrading the produce? thanks for answering I know you're super busy these days!

    This is a very hard video to watch, too much talking and too much noise. It’s better just to do this video by yourself in your kitchen without an audience. It’s really distracting and time consuming to watch all of that just to learn how to keep these fruits fresh in Jars. Please pretty please can you do a video of these just with fruits abs another one just to veggies but without all this talking ?

    • @TheCrossLegacy
      @TheCrossLegacy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Carolina, I have a book with all of the instructions written out for you and you can search by produce item. It's a #1 Best Seller on Amazon. I Bought It, Now What?
      www.thecrosslegacy.com/starthere also has it listed along with how to find the other resources.
      There will be many more videos to come in the future. This video is pretty special for what it is, over 20 women showed up to just learn more from me and signed up to host it at someone's house and support me in the community before I even went viral. We had decided to also film it so it could be watched as a replay but the main purpose of the event was for the people who were live. The Cross Legacy has only been around for a few months and we are changing lives all around the world.
