Whenever people are discussing Nick Cannon's reproductive choices, it's sad to see so many say "He can afford it", as if all it takes to be a good parent is money. There's only 24 hours in a day; perhaps he could give all his kids the necessary attention if they all lived together in one home, but that will never happen.

Yup, it’s the time and attention you give your kids that makes a difference, not just the money to support them. Both my parents worked full time when I was a kid, my mom worked day shift and my dad worked night shift. They didn’t see eachother much during those years but they made sure that at least one parent was with us every moment we were home. That meant the world to my brother and I

Not my business, and I don't tell other people how to raise their family, *BUT* I do think having that many baby mommas isn't fair to the kids. Yeah, they'll have all the money they'll ever need, so it's tough to sympathize, but it's highly improbable he's able to spend much time with each of them, especially living in different states. A mom can't replace a dad, just like a dad can't replace a mom, and not having one can have a lasting impact that money can't replace.

As the oldest of 9 kids (3 bio, 6 adopted) I can affirm that it is *impossible* to have that many children and give them enough attention. I became the third parent in high-school and it weighed heavily on me. Even with my help, the kids did not get the care and attention that they needed.

I don’t think it’s horrible that he has 12 kids, it’s that he has 12 kids with so many different women. There’s no way those women like each other, so these kids aren’t going to develop a meaningful relationship with their siblings or their father. What does Nick do for the holidays? Spend 2 hours in each house? Just bad choices.
Having 12 kids period isn’t good, it’s not healthy for women to have that many kids and typically with that many kids your forcing the older ones to act as parents to the younger one cause no two people have enough time to properly spend time raising each child. Almost every person Ik that has a large amount of sibling and is older is resentful of their parents for making them raise the younger children. 12 kids is weird and gross either way cause why do you really WANT all these children cause at 12 there is a serious want for some reason and i don’t think it’s for those kids well-being.

My family has never looked back but also have never forgotten where we started out from, I go back during the holidays to work in the community with the kids and families that want to better themselves. Not that everyone who lives in the projects are bad dirty lazy people because my family were not. Most of us if not all of our neighbors were able to go to college and be successful. I always thought the idea of Nick Cannon having so many kids was wild because regardless of how much money you have there's more to raising kids than that. After I heard about one of his newer baby's mom complaining about being sleep deprived and people telling her to have Nick pay for a nanny. It showed me that he's having all these kids with all these women and not putting the legwork to raise them especially when they're newborns. I have two kids of my own and know that it's not easy doing it by yourself. My husband was away a lot (military) and I was left to raise a toddler and a newborn alone most of the time. Although it was not that difficult to me I can understand people struggling with it.

As someone with multiple chronic illnesses including a Redundant Colon, JHS, IBS, and CFS/MS, having a chronic illness or autoimmune disease is not some pitiful life-ending curse. Also, only 5% of children born to a parent with lupus will develop the disease. The cause of Lupus is not medically agreed upon and there isn’t sufficient evidence to point to a single cause. In my case, my mom has autoimmune diseases and she has three children including myself. None of us inherited any of her autoimmune diseases. My medical problems are different than hers and are not autoimmune related at all. Lastly, so people with autoimmune diseases and chronic illness can’t have kids? That makes no sense.

I absolutely do not care about people having as many kids as they want, what really gets me is the recklessness of the father impregnating so many women. I think that’s disgusting; they don’t seem to have known each other long, the women are beautiful and seem to be in the industry, and neither know if the other has any STDs that could harm the other and the future children they just seem to create quickly. I don’t see the appeal of having unprotected sex with so many people and having children with multiple people - it’s like he’s rushing to have as many babies with as many beautiful women as possible, and not thinking about the children’s futures and their health. It’s despicable and disgusting.

I'm the oldest of my father's 8 children, with 5 different women. We all know each other, spend time together and all of us are adults but 1. We all have always had a relationship with our father. He raised several of us without mothers in the picture and he cares for and spends time with all of us. It's not necessarily a bad life. I'd be very sad to be in the position of his children that don't even know all of their siblings. That's not very fair

I didn't grow up with Nick, so I was never one to see him as corny or unfunny, surprisingly.. I had an AGT phase where I'd watch every season that was released for a few years and got to know Nick that way. I thought he was an amazing host and I thought he was funny!
I was actually really upset when he left the show. But now, learning about his history and how it isn't the best in some places, I can see why AGT moved on without him.
I think it's also cause Viacom owns NBC.

Americas Got Talent hasn’t been the same since Nick Cannon got cancelled the entire show has softened to a point where it’s not even entertaining. There is no honest judges anymore and literally everyone gets through as long as the crowd enjoys it.

I thought that this video would dive more into the aspects of him having his children. also surprised that his lupus condition wasn't mentioned. there's some interesting theories that connect these themes together. This was a nice video overall though
i actually wanted to talk about his whole career, because nobody has done a proper documentary on it. He has done some really dope things. The discussion & criticism of his family would just feel too personal for my style. Like im not about to dissect someones whole family, just mention whats going on and let people make their own interperetations
