Boggles my mind, cause he was on top of the world and had real talent. *EVERYONE* was waiting for the old Fetty, but obviously we know now he had other priorities. Sad.
I still remember back when EVERYONE was bumping Fetty Wap’s music. He could had a legendary career on the same level as Travis Scott or Post Malone. He might have the most undeserved fall off of any recent rapper.
I worked in downtown Paterson at the footlocker for the longest and Fetty would come in and always say hello to everyone and take pictures and have conversations with whoever wanted. Really the coolest dude

I’ve always loved Fetty. It’s so sad as a kid he was bullied about his eye. He seems so sweet and down to earth and just like he was really tryna make the right thing happen. Why did he think he couldn’t live off music and have to resort to stupid drug shit 😢

I followed him since the beggin ,he started to go down when they delayed that album for like 4 years, when he released it nobody cared anymore, another step was that he was working only with his homies that aren't tallented like him ,so it was a lot of factors ,he could do better if he was doing features with know artists and releasing music more constant.Sorry for the bad english.

I traveled to NYC for rolling loud and I can tell you my friends and I walked over to his stage and proceeded to stand in silence for 30 minutes until it was time for the next artist’s set. The discrepancy being, he never made it ON stage. We were severely disappointed as we got no announcement or explanation as to why he didn’t make it on stage (thank you for this video) and we were mad excited to see him perform live. Class of 2017 here I was a sophomore 2015
@@SwaggyG_2102 2014 was lit, bro
growing up during this time, fetty was one of my favorite artists. i loved him and i’m also from Nj. not far from paterson, and all of us nj kids would bump him 24/7. loved his voice and unique sound. i hope things change for the better. great video patrick!
im from nj too! we always used to be on that "I sAiD hEy WuSsUp HelLo!!!!!!"
im from nj as well. back in elementary school, we used to bump to his music EVERYDAY. what a time to be alive back then
yea Im from the east side of Paterson and fetty was always getting played growing up
Not all of us lmao 🤣
@@Foreign84 not sure if that’s you in ur pfp but no shit you were prob already 20 by the time we were kids lmfaoo no offense but you look much older. so that’s fine! no need to comment that lmao
Makes me wanna cry , been a fan of Fetty Wap since he blew up in 2015 . He influenced me and the music I make .. it’s heartbreaking he is in prison now right after he lost his daughter .
I hope he makes a big comeback, his music is still great he just needs that push
Dude was literally everywhere in summer 2015 amazing times
He dropped a new song recently called "sweet yamz"
Literally the last decent year I had before shit hit the fan.
I'll always love Fetty ... So many great memories are attached to his music *BUT* my man couldn't possibly have made any worse decisions over the last few years.
Loyalty is a double-edged sword, and in reality only person you need to be loyal to is yourself.
I still listen to Fetty frequently and love every second of his songs 😊
I worked in downtown Paterson at the footlocker for the longest and Fetty would come in and always say hello to everyone and take pictures and have conversations with whoever wanted. Really the coolest dude
He used to live on Mill Street end before he was famous. Always tried to sell my cousin some weed lmaooo but since you're familiar with downtown you know "I GOT MIXTAPES, MOVIES, WEED" 😂😂 everyone out here tryna sell a stranger some weed
I never listened to him but I respect how hes a caring person and wants to help others
This is actually really sad. He seems like such a sweet guy
being” real” and kind(good guy) will ALWAYS get you fuckd over , always
The fact that you can get locked up for what is essentially life just for drugs yet child rapists get out in a mere 2-5 years absolutely enrages my soul.
Lmao what child rapists getting 2-5 years?
Distributing Fentanyl is literally selling poison. It's not the same as selling drugs
@@TrevoltIV Do you understand what Fentanyl is? You understand it's literally poison, right?

always loved your content but i'm happy you found something to lean in on. these vids go crazy, hope you enjoy making em as much as we love watching. much love bro
i live in the NY/NJ/CT tristate area and Fetty still gets radio play. I always wonder what happened to him when I hear him. This is tragic. It's noble to want to help the hood but you cant help others until you have a strong stable foundation for yourself. it's sad he didn't invest more in his future before his music career fizzled out.
His first 4 songs in the top 10 is crazy 🔥
He was a genuinely good person caught in bad situation and friends. It's so sad watching a person who genuinely just wanna help get turn on like that
the actual problem is locking people in a cage for life for a non-violent crime.
@@hi-kt3qr the effects of cocaine are pretty violent if you ask me
Love how this channel covers a variety of topics, but goes into such detail with all of them
his songs are classics now... prayers up for Fetty.
Thanks for making these videos, man im binge watching all of them lol
You always upload while I’m looking for a new video to watch
Fr😭
He seems like a humble generous loyal guy who worked hard for his friends/family to live the life he had sad to see him on a downwards spiral
I’ve always loved Fetty. It’s so sad as a kid he was bullied about his eye. He seems so sweet and down to earth and just like he was really tryna make the right thing happen. Why did he think he couldn’t live off music and have to resort to stupid drug shit 😢
Old habis die hard especially when the people you came up with are toxic people due to being raised in a toxic environment. It's always easy to judge from a distance in our ivory towers based on our own life experience until we have to walk in the shoes of others.
Man.. I never liked his sound and never understood his blow up. To see his heart and loyalty to his whole team, makes me rethink everything I thought about him. Praying he learns and grows through all of his trials and tribulations. Thank you for this dive.
Bro, your channel is so underrated, you should have a way bigger following! I love your videos
Trap Queen was an era in itself
This is just too sad for a guy with such a unique sound. I feel for his family as well. Like his real family not the bums that just leached off him. I hope this isn't the end for Fetty. I hope he has the biggest come back and does things differently this time.
I believe that people took a vantage of his kind spirit and generosity. My mouth dropped when I heard how much money he was spending 😮
Man unlike a lot of these scumbags in rap, Fetty seem chill af, nothing but love n respect to dude.
Really makes you grateful for what you have. Even when making it big he still couldn’t escape his bad influences.
He was still human
This comment is correct money and fame doesn't change how u are
@@LilXancheX yea we kno that
This is why you gotta leave the hood boy’s completely. Yeah build a kid’s club for the youth and donate to your town but don’t go bk and definitely don’t put others careers before yourself. I hope he gets out and can live a happy life 🙏🏼❣️
Man I miss fetty he was a real one 💯
He dropped a new song recently called "sweet yamz
Love the channel, so many people I have never heard of but interesting stories.
Thanks for this Pat! I remember hearing Trap Queen and 679 all the time in 2014, and I’ve always wondered where he had been…. crazy to see what happened to him
Back in 2015 and 2016 times were good....fetty dropping classic after classic.
I loved Fetty...he just had that unique voice and tune you could not ignore.
I wish things went different mehn damn
He dropped a new song recently called "sweet yamz
I still love Fetty
hearing that he took care of everyone besides himself was sad to hear knowing hes going to prison most likely.
Honestly had such a unique sound when he first came out! Hope he makes a comeback!
This is the best example of Self Destruction, or Upper limiting, we so use to being at a certain level of happiness, we will subconsciously do things that fuck our future up.
Now it’s 2022 and fetty killed it with the “CAN I GET TO THE YAMSSSSS” 😭
On god he did.
I DIDNT KNOW THAT WAS HIM!!!😭😭😭😭
Damn, I didn't listen to homie's music, but learning about all the corrupt shit is crucial to everyone listening. He could've fed himself, & future generations, for decades if he just utilized music, instead of the streets.
Your video’s always make my day keep up the grind man
Good video. Thank you for the quality content.
Just found your channel...looking up the ynw melly case..great work!!
Very sad that he faded away I always and still do listen to his music. I wish he made better decisions and he started making a small comeback at some points
Sigh I wish things were different for him. He seems so sweet 😔😔
I thought last week probably “damn I haven’t heard Fetty Wap in a while” I now see why, thank you sir
so u didn't hear sweet yamz...
@@PatrickCc I ignored Fetty Wap so I didn’t know Sweet Yamz came out
i refuse to believe you haven't heard the absolute banger that is sweet yams
@@PatrickCc I have not heard sweet yamz😂 looking it up now
@@shotsinfired wtf😂😂 my biggest regret is not knowing of this song so I could pull up to family thanksgiving absolutely blaring sweet yams😂😂
Dang, I clicked on this expecting to chuckle. Now I hope he makes a comeback, seems like a good dude to hang with.
My brother was truly blindsided by these events. I hope the money is with the family and that the family's out of the life
He's a victim of the senseless drug war, nothing more. Not just an insanely talented artist, I think he's a very good person. With the right representation, he hopefully won't do much time and have a chance to come back to music someday. I wanna see him win.
Fetty’s burner?
yea and murderers are victims of economic problems FOH!
Do you believe cocaine should be legal?
Insanely talented... thats the problem with kids these days, they assume whats plastered everywhere is = to talent lol
@@malteeriksson2883 Personally yes. It doesn’t stop anyone and just makes it much more dangerous than it needs to be, just like alcohol prohibition
I honestly don’t know how to feel after this one. The nastogia this brings as well as hearing him talk and learning about his story was incredible, he seems like sucha generous humble dude. However the ending with drugs and getting locked up kinda made this whole story pretty sad… needa happy ending in the next one Patrick
One of the most underrated, yet iconic rappers I can think of. When you hear "1738" then you know the party is about to turn up.
He dropped a new song recently called "sweet yamz
Damn, 2017 was a changing point for Fet and me, I would bump his song Flip Phone as a chill song to get my head away from the hurt I experience from somebody i was down with
A good friend with fake friends. I respect the fact that he was not a greedy dude.

I had no issue sitting through this 17 min long video. Great delivery and voice you got there
👍
You can always depend on Patrick to put out quality videos, another good one right here! good work man!
Selling your soul never ends well
If Fetty Wap ever decided to give music a go again, I think he would be well received. He’s genuinely talented. I hope he does but if he doesn’t I just wish him well 🤙
I legit NEVER heard any of those songs before I saw you mention them in this video. I am really proud to say that. :)
Go listen to trap queen, unless you were actually under a rock. You heard of it.
Good for you. This kind of rappers take black people back
this man had so much potential, its sad seeing it be wasted like this
He's still got a loyal fanbase, including me. I bump Butterfly effect heavy
that was cold, Andrew. ice cold 🥶 🥶
Fetty one of my favorite artists of all genres Ive listened to every song he's put out
14:20 You mentioned Fetty got arrested after he got OFF stage @ rolling loud in NYC 2021 however that’s not the case. Fetty’s songs were always playing in the back during demon time in hs and never failed to gas up the gang. T’was lit, I hope everything goes well for him after he gets through this!
