Most likely. He's managing to get around his blow out. I still want to hear the amazing melodic vocals like in SITS though a long side some brutal screams.
He screamed like once. His "blow out" has been going on for a couple years now... I mean really. The music industry is molding this band into a mainstream metal band, it sucks. No more lyrics like The Crusade album had. They don't want people thinking too much I guess.
Those double bass triplets in the verses are inconsistent AF at times though, but this song has ripped since it was created for sure. Just not the greatest performance of it here.
The double kicks are very inconsistent throughout the intro/verse sections the sextuplet roll rhythm falls off at many points. The part you mentioned is pretty much like the original besides the odd kick note here and there added in.
@@svenbreedeveld1170 I have friends, but that’s irrelevant. In the intro, the drummer was off time in many places. I’m just saying that was likely the reason they tried finding a better drummer.
Been a guitarist for five years and if my timing is off I would consider myself bad. Rhythm is very important on any instruments and most important on drums. The old drummer wasn’t lacking skill but he was definitely not what this band needed. Praise be Alex Bent
@@sunlesssky1789 That’s true, Alex Bent was the obvious choice after burning through a lot of mediocre drummers. They definitely weren’t bad, but they made Alex Bent sound like a god in comparison, which he is.
getting better all the time actually!! he has been singing his entire career with a deviated septum!! so safe to say hes been having lots of surgery and singing lessons and screams now better than ever. seems some may be made to eat their words a tad Ha Ha Ha!!!! \m/
Technically way better, but it doesnt go with trivium. I dont like how it sounds, pretty much volbeat to me. I preffer no technic at all and the guts that matt had in the past. Its just how i see it, at some point i think better its not always technically superior.
Se que quizas el tocar la misma cancion por años les puede resultar aburrido, pero no lo se... si no estuviese Corey, la cancion parece un cover, uno bien hecho pero todavia lejos de como era... Saludos
corey play this song easily to the point that he can sing/scream while doing the leads.. freaking amazing band.
Corey's screams are just fuckin sick.
4:08 This is Trivium!!!!
Awesome to see Matt getting back into the screaming. Maybe they will bring it back for their next album!
Most likely. He's managing to get around his blow out. I still want to hear the amazing melodic vocals like in SITS though a long side some brutal screams.
+Mike Oxlong he also had his nose repaired recently and he says singing and screaming is easier now

iiXeno Just wait for their next record to come out. I have a feeling it will be something special.
Lugal Ki En I'm from the future, they do, their new single is amazing.
Favorite Trivium song right here
Cory>Slash
I think one of the best live performances of this song this days.
What are you on about? The drumming is all over the place and Matt's cleans are garbage here
Glad they remember this track
middlefinger 5:08
Take it away Corey 😅
Fucking awesome, best gig I've ever been to!
I think is before he took lessons with Ron Anderson because he sounds a lot better today. It also just have been an off day or off song
thanks for sharing, Trivium kills it every f@$ time
I like this new melody for the chorus better than the original.
+Joni Teppo are you kidding? its terrible
I do not understan you? Please give me a sec mark where the chorus melody is different.
*2:39* Matt sings the chorus differently than on the album.
his vocals are hacked, that's why he sings like that now. him and corey need to switch roles.
@@022rty Him and Corey need to switch roles? Did you seriously type this whole comment and still post it?
Is that Matt's dad? The bald guy at 1:45
I think it is
+AEKkaiBLACKSABBATH Uh, ok? Lol...I knew that already but what does that have to do with the bald guy there? It looks just like him.
Lolol..
Look up "Brian Heafy" -- he's on Twitter
I've met him before too IRL
+AEKkaiBLACKSABBATH LOL I told you 😂😜
It's not. Look at his instagram, they have different faetures. Both bald white guys but Heafy's dad has a much squarer head
drummers feet are all over the place
His timing too. Not bad but still expect it to be a little better after playing this song for yrs
@@siuleopouesi5794 He was only in the band for a few months
If Corey will sing every song I think they motherfuckers have got to turn fucking up his microphone's Volume
I swear, they never show corey play.

come on dude. Mat Madiro had to learn this playlist in 24 hours. i thought he did well.
@@dpedrosoliano no he didnt, he was with the band since May 2014
@@Martin2k17 find the interview about matt explaining the situation.. that madiro had to learn the songs in 24 hrs.. he was their drumtech..
I know Matt blew his voice out. I'm glad he got back into screaming.
1:59
matt struggling with his vocals. or just in a bad shape?
lost his power
HE blew it out a year or two before and had to completely relearn how to sing and scream with proper technique and everything.
Matt's ears are pointy AF
Matts singing is lik ted a e I o uuuuuu
One of the best live performances i've ever experienced, however looking back the drumming is pretty sloppy on this, especially on the intro
Did they change the key?
Finnan Cahill all their drop d stuff is half a step lower live. Helps with matts vocals and less gear to haul around everywhere
@@dannyfrance1997 gotcha
What tuning are the guitars in this?
drop d
studio is drop d but live is d flat...
nop in live is Db
Drop D always, maybe, in live sometimes every song is half step down than in studio version except the 7 string songs
Drop C#
Is this even in the correct key ?
They've been tuning down on their old stuff for years, I'm pretty sure.
Db to help Matts vocals in the clean singing
Robert Avina They play some of the songs a half step down so Matt's voice doesn't strain as much.
The songs tuning was originally drop d
They tuned a half step down at In Waves
They've tuned down since 2011
Crazy how much better the rest of the band is than Matt in this clip. Matt is one of my metal heroes but he was obviously not at his best in 2015
Is matt making fucking Inales??? Does he wants to recover his fucking voice or destroy completly again?!?!?
This was 2015.
Waldo Torres fry screaming. He was pretty terrible here, but he's gotten a lot better and does lead screams again
he remind s me of Yoda
Que inviten a Matt Shadows y que cante esta canción
I like how they turn up the volume of the drums to show us how bad of a drummer they had
Explain, been a drummer for 5 years. How was he bad. I actually don't care. Talk to some people, get some friends. Go touch some grass.

Who the hell's that singer and what has he done to Matt?!?!??!! :-(
wha the hell is this?
this sir, is musical perfection.
im with you anthony
its Magnificent
Wayy to slow, back to long hair Corey and old drummer vidz
MADIRO WTF YOU ARE WAYYYYYYYY OFF
не люблю когда поют
Matts clean vocals are god fucking awful.
No kidding! He sounds like the ding dong singer of disturbed
