  • The Mastercraft Courser AXT is all terrain, all season tire that balances highway driving with excellent off road performance and styling. The aggressive 5 rib tread design and increased lateral grooves handle off road conditions with ease and while still giving you solid on road performance. The wide zig-zag grooves give you soft surface grip, and biting edges for snow. The intermediate tread elements pair together to reduce rock retention and move gravel to the wide circumferential grooves for release. The alternating shoulder scallops give the Courser AXT increased off road traction and the styling you are looking for.
The Courser AXT comes with a 50 thousand mile tread warranty and the M and S rating to provide you with excellent all season performance on or off road.

I’ve got 37k on a set and they have become wicked loud despite scheduled rotations. Definitely the loudest high mileage AT I’ve owned. Otherwise, they’ve been fine.

I live in western Ny State, have a camp on a seasonal road, haul snowmobiles, quads and a 26' camper (occasionally). Ive owned 2 sets of these tires, one on a Dodge Ram 1500 (replaced Goodyear wrangler SR-A) and now on a Ford F150 (replaced original Firestones). In both cases the AXT performed better on wet pavement, in the snow and off road. The current set on the ford has 52000 miles and 4/32nds left. I rotate every oil change. The current set got loud because I had bad struts and the tires started chopping on the outside, once the tires start to wear like that there is no going back. I am currently looking into the AXT2 to replace the AXT's on the Ford. And they are MADE in USA! Oh, I buried the Ford last year so bad that I almost didnt bother trying to rock it out. Much to my surprise, with a little patients I got it out with out a tow

I also have the axt’s on my 2003 s10 zr5 and love them. I’m also looking the axt2 as well when it comes time for new tires or to replace the axt’s.

Did they start making the AXT because I can’t find it anywhere?

John, we need to pull this video down as this is now an older tire. Mastercraft Courser AXT2 is the latest version of this tire.

I've had these for 10k miles and for one year on my 05 Ford Ranger. Definitely doesn't work as good in the PNW when it rains which is disappointing. I've tried adjusting tire pressure to see if it helps, but I just don't think I can buy another set of them when it comes time to replace them. I got a good deal on them when I worked at a shop, but I kick myself for not spending more on a better set. Tire drone is probably normal with this type of tire that I am experiencing and I listen to louder music so I don't mind that part.

Rhett, As look at the tire in your desired size, if you look the end of the tire title, you will see WL ( white lettering) to signify the tires that have white lettering. Here is a link of all the Mastercraft AXT tires. www.tires-easy.com/tires/mastercraft-tires/s/courser-axt

Has anyone had trouble with the belts breaking in this tire?

I agree with Hilltown. They were remarkably quiet when new. Mine are at 50k with a lot of tread left, but drone terribly now. Have been for a while now. Great tires other than that. Longevity has been impressive. I won't be buying them again because of the noise though.

I have these on my truck and i'm about too throw them in the trash with 70% tread left. Can't drive up a grass hill, can't stop in the rain, tires spin in the dry all the time and rock rejection is garbage in the gravel. Junk. Don't buy.
