i thought i was the only one crying, as a mass media and communication professional i can't appreciate the most. i can't wait for them to release the paris 2024
I met a person who organized the Beijing IBC and told me it’s a huge undertaking. The host convention center is gutted out a few months in advance so twenty broadcasters can build television studios and offices for a three-week telecast. In Beijing, organizers also constructed a towering pagoda housing the Chinese, British, Canadian, French, and Mexican rights holders, offering backdrop views of the Olympic Park. NBC is housing the international broadcasters at Universal Studios backlot when the U.S. hosts the L.A. Olympics in 2028.
Yes, when I was a photographer for one of the big international newswire services, our chief photographer went to Beijing *_in 2007_* to prepare for the 2008 Games, a year in advance! I still shoot for news, but I don't entirely specialize in sports photography.
It is simply jaw-dropping stuff...hats off OBS for the extremely moving, heart touching content that is of the highest quality and proffessionalism imaginable
Am from cameroon and am called Ncha Levis i love to developed my country with soch technologies like this. i love the skill to change my nation cameroon
one of my biggest dream is to work one day for OBS. what they say here about the initiative to bring students to work with them is true, and it's one of the most amazing experiences i had while studying mass media and communication in 2018. when barranquilla held the centralamerican and caribbean games, i was selected to work with ATOS as the guy who operates the graphics with stats, names, flags of the athletes for gymnastics and it was truly a beautiful experience that i'll forever keep close to my heart. the ATOS guys are receptive and guide you through the process, they're always sitting next to you but leave you to operate the graphics. it was a pleasure to serve the olympic movement as a volunteer. thank you, thank you, olympic games for making this world a better place to live in
Thank you to all of you. already working fine. We really appreciate your hard work, in order to give us the best impression possible. Thanks you so much
I really love watching these documentaries where handling and hosting the big events such as sports like the Olympics has all of the details of planning and everything! 44:29 They even educate and give the experience to these next generation students to work in a very professional workplace of TV broadcasting! Good job!
The high jump and pole vault, so nice to watch the technique 💗💖💗 but the broadcast has become so commercial only pay channels show it, it's still Olympics but not for the common person 🤔
You wanted to show your fabulous city of Rio. What about showing the other side of your city called the slums. After all the TV cameras left, not one penny went to those poor people from your organisation 😪🙊😡
Sports broadcasting is in and of itself a sport. The secret sport in the Olympics
The scale of the OBS production is mind boggling. What a crazy undertaking
Truly amazing what OBS can do. The finest athletes on the best professional production software that all tv stations use.
Ahh shit wrong OBS wrote this in the first 10 seconds
@@JonesFilms Wait they use OBS as in OBS software for streaming???
@@xMaFiaKinGz Olympic Broadcasting Services - not the software OBS
@@xMaFiaKinGz No they definitely do not 😁
So much respect to the OBS team for the amount of work, the planning and execution. It's just incredible
An awesome and professional masterpiece. OBS delivery is top-notch. can we get behind the scenes of Paris 2024?
man these people working this are the top of the top - respect
I watched the 2012 edition and a year after this was uploaded,
I found what I was looking for.
Yeah. The 2012 one is not even 10 minutes!
I also cried watching these gladiators realize their incredible achievements. Tears of joy.

@@sebasalgarins As a student in sports media, I also thought I was the only one with tears of joy until I came to the comments
@@anthonydhatton you're not the only one, this is a dream for many of us. the things i would give to be part of the OBS :(
To whoever made the background music, it was really good. I especially liked the 5/4 section!
My thoughts exactly when I heard the 5/4! I'm trying to find the song now
It is "Nations Cup" by Terry Devine-King
its sad that this video is so under-viewed!
not meant for everybody
the ending was one of the most inspiring things ive ever seen. Teared up, no lie
Oh my God, why i'm so emotional in the ending scene 😭
This video is the single best documentary made on broadcast engineering.

Everytime they showed all the cables and wires, it gave me anxiety.
It gave me a semi
It actually made me hungry because of all the spaghetti :P

Fascinating longform doc, thanks for uploading.
For those looking for the intro/outro music it is "Nations Cup" by Terry Devine-King.
It's amazing and inspirational to see what humans can accomplish when they work together with a common goal.
And then you have Gaza being destroyed....Humans...
Beautiful images. Great company, Perfect broadcasting. J'adore.
Great film/documentary, I learnt alot about what technology is used during the games.
So stunning, wish i could have seen it earlier. Wouldn't like to be the guy asked to make a 2 min video highlight with all this footage!
I would've never finished it. So many clips to enjoy!
PLE MAKE ONE OF THESE FOR PARIS SUCH GOOD INFORMATION

Can you please make a documentary on Paris Olympic broadcasting also please 😊😊
WE WILL BE WAITING FOR IT
I am disappointed that this otherwise potentially amazing looking video does not allow Closed Captions =(

I believe I heard that the early planning for broadcasting the Games starts the minute the city is announced.
