You're welcome, I still have not bought anymore Power Wash, and the price has went up, it's now over $7 dollars to purchase, this hack has saved me so much money...tfw 😊
Girl, thank you for putting the recipe in the description ❤! I watched the video, too, but was able to physically get the recipe because I can't remember anything these days 😂❤
I just tried it but did not have the correct measurements but it still works. I will make sure to use one ounce of dawn and one once of alcohol. Thank you
I have not had good luck with making this. The first time, I followed a recipe that called for more Dawn. When I put the sprayer back on, it wouldn't spray out. I thought it was because I had too much soap. I tried again, with a different bottle/sprayer, using a recipe very similar to yours but had the same results. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Any suggestions? I like your video. 👍
I always make sure I use 12ozs. of warm water ( it will mix better ) try using 2 ozs. of concentrated Dawn, the alcohol I use is between 70 & 91% ( this important because this is what makes it spray...also if you use too much soap it will not spray...hope this helps tfw...😊
So look on the side of the bottle. If your using the Dawn Powerwash bottle. Anyway you should see a line. It's nearly impossible to see, but its there. DON'T FILL THE BOTTLE ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP . That will prevent the pump from spraying the detergent out right. Also use a measuring cup and a tablespoon, don't guess. Hope one of these suggestions helps
@@susangarcia2484 I’m trying to make power wash … my new batch seems to be more foamy … I used the platinum soap this time compared to the generic version I used the first time so that might be it
It's not the same thing. I checked the SDS and the real stuff doesn't even contain alcohol. A Safety Data Sheet won't tell you the exact recipe, but will list any chemicals in it. Here is what it lists: Dipropylene Glycol Butoxy Ether Lauramine Oxide Lauryl Glucoside Hexeth-5 Sodium Xylenesulfonate Regular Dawn contains NONE of these particular chemicals but it does contain Ethanol, a form of alcohol.
I'd recommend just diluting some liquid dish soap with tap water, or even distilled water if you want to use it for glass cleaning. Diluted liquid dish soap is plenty effective, even at around 1:100. I don't like to mix cleaning products or alcohol, ever, because they often chemically react. At best that makes them ineffective, for example mixing baking soda and vinegar, or can even release dangerous gazes, for example mixing soap and bleach releases deadly chlorine gas.
Vinegar and bleach is bad to mix and can be deadly. Vinegar and baking soda is not deadly and can be used with a lot of things. Baking soda and lime juice too. Diluting it won’t have that same effect, that’s why the company puts rubbing alcohol in it to get that spray. Diluting bleach is ok and recommend to do but not the same as if you were to dilute soap, or dawn. You must be young lol
My friends father used to call it Ackahol too. This gave me flashbacks. However, of all the ways people are currently killing the English language, this can certainly be overlooked.
Over the past year I've watched this video about every month. Thank you for making this
You're welcome...tfw 😊
I just made this and it's awesome thank you for sharing the recipe.

thanks a bunch, just made to bottles; tested one and it passed, atta girl for sharing!
Just tried this. What a money saver!
Ikr, I haven't bought it since I started making it...tfw 😊
The alcohol is really the additional grease cutter additive. It plays a minor role in diluting the mixture.
Girl, thank you for putting the recipe in the description ❤! I watched the video, too, but was able to physically get the recipe because I can't remember anything these days 😂❤

I TOTALLY AGREE , use the alcohol
I just tried it but did not have the correct measurements but it still works. I will make sure to use one ounce of dawn and one once of alcohol. Thank you
Best ratio is : Two ounces Dawn, One ounce Alcohol, the rest water.
Gonna make this, thanks
Done it. It works!
Thank you!
Great content, thanks so much! God Bless ✝️❤️✝️

Hey lady, you the sh*t for posting this. Appreciate it
Thank you &...tfw 😊
Thank you so much 😊
Yw...tfw 😊
Omg thank you 🙏
You're welcome...tfw 😊
Instead of can you use vinegar instead of water that sounds like it would really clean.
Thank You!!! I made another batch using vinegar and it's perfect for the dog's bed. Spayed it, brushed and let it dry and it worked wonderfully!!

The alcohol makes it foam I think
Does it have to be usted un the sprayer or can it be used in any spray bottle?
I really don't know, this kind of bottle is the only kind I've ever tried...😊
Thanks PJ Mama! On the Isopropyl alcohol - 70% or 91% ?
Either Or, You're welcome...tfw 😊
Can a regular spray bottle be used or does it have ti be the dawn bottle
I've never tried, but I think it should be okay...tfw 😊
Denatured alcohol is the first ingredient on the powerwash ingredient list. So why use so little alcohol in your honenmade recipe?
That's the recipe, you can use more if you like, I use 1 - 2 ounces, you can only get so much liquid in those bottles...tfw 😊
Whats the purpose of the alcohol? Just curious
Makes the soap foam.. tfw 😊
@coreilove awesome! BTW I tried it and it works beautifully! Thanks
I think it helps keep the nozzle clean and prevents clogging .
I learned biology alcohol, bleach, & peroxide were the products to kill bacteria.

Was the water warm?
@@karensmith7787 this was brilliant. I’d totally miss that
11 oz water, hot, ut not oiling
2 oz Isopropyl Alcohol
3 oz Dawn Dish Soap
This recipe is wonderful!!!
thank you!!
@@karronlaneNOLA you're welcome...tfw 😊
2 oz alcohol seems better mix
Ive tried this and its not near as foamy as the original am i missing something? I tried adding more dawn and its still the same
Add more Alcohol, and I use 70% or the 91%...tfw 😊
Can you give the recipe in cups size please.
Hello, the recipe is in the description...tfw 😊
Specifically, what kind of alcohol? Percentage? Type? Should it be ethyl alcohol? Other forms of alcohol are poison.
Isopropyl alcohol 70%...tfw 😊
Ackahall?
Yep
I had to look to see if anyone caught that. Too must be from the south someplace lol
A$$ahol
is it 1 1/2 oz dawn or is it 1 oz if dawn. i listened to the video but in the description you put 1 1/2 oz. just wondering ^~^
Either or is fine just make sure to use the alcohol or it won't work...tfw 😊
@@coreilove thank you. i will try this hack tomorrow ^~^
Instead of making fun of the way people talk LOOK AT THE PICTURED INGREDIENTS! Dawn, water, alcohol. Easy peasy!🙄
mine is not foaming up for some reason
Add a little more alcohol...tfw 😊
@@coreilove I added more soap and alcohol and it’s still not foaming like the original
Are you trying to make powerwash or dawn foaming. They are two different products. The foam is in a pump bottle. Power wash isn't foam.

cant see the suds in tht white sink JAT
Sorry about that...tfw 😊
What is Ackohol?
That is so much more than an oz of Dawn she put , lol
Give or take...lol 😄 tfw
Akahaul? But thanks for this. It works really well and it's cheap.
Yw...tfw 😊
You really should measure it.

Question, What is "Accahol"?
@jonny_lagunaI agree🙄
Why are some people just rude? Ugh.
Rubbing alcohol. U get it in the pharmacy in your store. I use 71%. It is cheaper than the 90% & works as good.
Question, have you heard of linguistics? This is so embarrassing for you. Sad.
Hope you got a kick from making fun of this woman....shame on you!!!!
This doesn't work as well as the one you buy ..
Mine actually works better 😊

Did you say "ack-a-haul"? There's an "L" in the word ALCOHOL. If you are going to be doing videos, don't be so lazy in your speech.
Sending prayers 🙏 God bless you
