In that case, why even play a regular season? SMU did all they needed to in the regular season to make their case. Bama and Miami lost to trash teams down the stretch. They win those, they are in. Also everyone is complaining about the blowouts which I understand, but these teams blowing the other out wouldn’t have been here if it wasn’t for the expanded format.
